didn't eun tak blow on flame for 9 years?
I was thinking the same. But maybe it also had something to do with what she was wishing/thinking while she blew out the candle? It was reminiscent of the first time she summoned Shin, when she was asking for someone to fix her mess of a situation.

People in korea paying for tvN network just to watch this drama and most of us pay websites so less or watch it…
The most hilarious thing is, the people who hate it so much that they have to complain in the comments KEEP WATCHING THE EPISODES. Like, get a freaking life and use your time doing things you enjoy. Why are y'all still watching it if the main couple makes you ~sooo uncomfortable~

There's a difference between leaving your opinions and simply being rude and unhelpful.

That borderline pedo romance though...lol It's like a trend now. Anyways, it's sometimes fun thx to…
Sorry, but I'm not even going to bother reading this because your writing just goes around in circles, and you take everything I say in the wrong way even though you accused me of doing the same thing.

The last thing I'm going to say is: I didn't deny the use of the pedo noona on MDL. I said I never used it, so how are those two things even similar? I'd ask you to explain it but you literally never explain anything and only go off on tangents. You can keep watching Goblin and take in all those borderline pedo vibes as you wish, my friend. Enjoy watching a borderline pedo drama :)

I didn't say people dislike her because of Ji Dwi, and I wasn't saying not to dislike her because you guys can do whatever you want. It's just that some people are saying she should stop shooting down Ji Dwi because he's been trying hard, and that just makes me uncomfortable because no girl should be forced to like anyone!

Watched the first episode because I was bored and, well, it didn't really help. I might watch a few more, but I'm not feeling it so far unfortunately.

Come on, guys. You can dislike Ah Ro all you want, and you can have SLS as much as you want, but please keep in mind that Ah Ro isn't obligated to reciprocate Ji Dwi's feelings just because he's trying hard to win her over. If she doesn't like him romantically, she doesn't like him romantically. Her choice!

But you didn't clarify anything. I was asking you to explain what exactly you meant by borderline pedo, and you just explained yourself by reusing the word pedo, which is really redundant. I now understand that you didn't use to mean literal pedophilia, but still, what exactly did you mean it to be then? Because pedo, to me, at it's most simple definition still implies someone older creeping on someone too young who's not in the position to consent it. And I said you're defensive because you kept bringing up my supposed motives and how I'm projecting things on you? I'm not even denying the use of pedo noona oh my god. My sentence literally just means I've never used it so I'm not familiar with the term you used to clarify yourself. That's it.

And no I didn't bring up your editing as to say you changed your comment entirely. I mentioned that because you also added more to your comment, so I had to clarify the new stuff I was adding onto my reply. Aren't you the one projecting your motives onto me now? Like I said, it's easy to misunderstand each other online.

One last thing: I wasn't trying to attack you with my initial reply. I really wasn't. I didn't have any 'motives' and reasonably replied because of the word pedo. I don't know if you've seen the backlash from knetz and their actual accusing of Goblin for pedophilia, but that's where I'm coming from. If you're not doing that, then great. Have a nice day and let's not waste each other's time anymore.

Oh yeah for sure. Whether you like or don't like her acting is your opinion, but I was talking about people who haven't seen her act in anything before. I don't think Ah Ro's character is a good example of what Go Ara can do, so I was just saying not to write her off if this is the first time you're seeing her act.

@KMR I fail to see how I'm being defensive here? But okay I've never used the term "pedo noona" or have talked to people that have used the term "pedo noona." Rather than assuming I have some weird motive in making you look bad, it might be useful to explain what you mean when you say pedo. Can you blame someone when they take it to mean pedophilia considering pedo is short for pedophilia?? Words have connotations regardless of your intentions. And what's with the whole "projection" thing? Clearly everyone understands written things differently, so don't feel so attacked and just explain yourself.

@elvirad I originally don't like age gaps. I couldn't get into I Can Hear Your Voice because of that exact reason. But Eun Tak is technically 20 in Korean age as she mentions in episode 10, and Shin is mid 30s, 37 if we take his irl age, not 40. I don't sense anything remotely creepy from ShinTak. I found their bond easy to understand personally.

I think people are being pretty unfair re: Go Ara. Rather than this performance being a testament to her acting, it's the way the character was written. I liked Ah Ro a lot at first, but all they've written her to do lately is cry. She's capable of so much more than that (her hustling skills are pretty awesome).

@KMR What...? You posted on a public website where people have the ability to read and respond. Obviously you're going to get responses from people depending on how they come to understand your comment, and not everyone's going to agree with you. What are my "motives" exactly? Why would you say the romance is borderline pedophilia if you're not accusing the show exactly of that? What even is being borderline pedophilic? If you're posting a comment using a legitimate psychiatric term, don't be surprised and defensive when people point it out lmao

Edit because you edited your post after I replied....: This is how I understand it. If you say a show has a sad feeling, does that not mean that you think the show is sad? So how is it different if you say it has a "pedo" feeling? Because Shin's girlfriend is younger than him? I can understand if you personally feel discomfort from the age gap, but through using the word pedo, whether you like it or not, you're linking the relationship to pedophilia because that's simply what the word means. If you didn't mean it that way, that's cool, but not everyone reading your comment is going to understand you. Sure you don't have to explain yourself, but that perpetuates misunderstandings. Unlike what you're implying, I don't have any "motives" I want to push onto you. I'm replying to you as I understand your comment tl;dr lol

If you don't like it, fine. But accusing ShinTak and the writers of "borderline pedophilia" is problematic. I'm sure you know, but pedophilia is an actual psychiatric disorder that refers to sexual attraction towards PRE-PUBESCENT CHILDREN. Sure Eun Tak started off the show as a minor, but she is now a legal adult (so in no way is she even close to being pre-pubescent) and has the power to consent to this relationship.

I have a question. He got the power to see people's future after he became a goblin right. Then how could…
To give a more specific reply, I believe Shin lived, died, and became a goblin in the Goryeo dynasty. That scene when he met the teacher for the first time was during the Joseon dynasty because he says to Eun Tak that he saw his first love in the Joseon dynasty. I'm pretty sure the person he was eating with was someone we'd never seen before?

I can't remember the specific episode, but it occurred in the last few. I believe Park Joong Won's ghost said something like "you should have seen how powerful Wang Yeo became in the 20 years you were gone"

I wasn't assuming you were talking to me, I was just making a general comment about your reply. If Dieu feels disrespected, I'm sure they can speak up themselves. It's true, Janey didn't need to say it in that way, but they probably also felt it was rude that OP said Kim Go Eun is annoying. A lot of us are just on the defense when it comes to KGE because there's been enough senseless bashing of her and her character.

@VandaLimbata Then everyone else has the right to reply and share their own opinion too, just like you did. It's a comments section. If you don't want a response, either don't post or post and don't check back. Everyone was respectful too, so no need to try and moderate this conversation.

No, it took Shin 20 years to get resurrected as a Goblin, which was when he came back to seek revenge and killed Park Joong Won. He wanted to meet the King then too, but he was too late, as now we know that Wang Yeo basically commits suicide. Also, that wasn't his sister's body. I'm pretty sure it was Wang Yeo's.

I don't get how people complain that Eun Tak is both dull yet too cutesy and childish. Useless? By what sense? She's literally been using her ghost seeing powers to help people move on, but maybe you wouldn't know because you skip all her scenes lol. I also don't see how Yoo In Na would be better with him. She has great chemistry with LDW but tbh her chemistry with Gong Yoo as his sister could be better.

Lastly, I don't get how people can complain about Eun Tak being childish and immature when Shin is the most immature 900 year old ever (it's cute af tho). They're both childish when it comes to each other and that's the charm of their relationship; together they bring out the innocence and purity they weren't able to tap into before they met each other, Shin because he's been living 900 years trying to die, and Eun Tak because she was in a living hell for 10 years. Talk about double standards.
