An extremely underrated drama. If you're on the fence about watching this one for whatever reason, please give it a shot! It'll deliver all the emotions.
i relate to #2 and #1 the most! there are definitely a few really big dramas that I love, but with the majority, my taste seems to differ (e.g., healer. never could get into it, which makes me feel like i'll get burned at the stake lol). i've been going through #1 since goblin ended. i've filled that emptiness with some good jdramas, but have yet to find a real gem that's aired after goblin (like, strong woman is good but it's got its issues). i need a drama to save me from this rut tbh
I'M SO GLAD THEY DIDN'T WRITE HER POWERS OFF. Bong Soon being a badass, super strong woman is one of my favorite parts of this drama. I was really disappointed when she lost her powers the way she did.
I enjoyed it overall. Despite a lot of complaints about this drama being boring, I thought slow-burning would be a better way to describe it? Personally, I think the writing really fell through at the end regarding the time traveling and the decisions made with knowledge from the future, especially the last 10 minutes or so. However, I did like watching the main couple develop themselves as well as their relationship.
My recommendation for those thinking about watching Tomorrow With You: Give it a try. It might take a few episodes to get into it, but you should know whether you're into this type of show after a couple of episodes. Don't expect a super thorough time-travel plot though.
So Joon is such a bad time traveler!! First, he could've saved Se Yeong's dad by seeing him off, and now, in episode 14, he should've just gone home with Ma Rin and made sure she was safe. I was yelling at my screen when he didn't get in the cab with her ajshdakjsd WHY KDRAMA LOGIC WHY
Happy to find a jdrama after Nigehaji that gives me that same relaxed feeling! Etsuko's outfits give me so much life :') And Masaki's face....If only we had more subbers on this project!
Was really liking this one, but I'm going to have to drop it halfway through. Yuki's character is really disappointing at this point and I don't have it in me to finish the rest of it. Would've been great had they not decided to make her so dense.
I wonder how they'll make Park Se Gun mature from his obsession with beauty, because at the moment, he clearly only likes Nan Hee because he thinks she's his ideal girl (which still only seems to be based on physical appearance!!)
Gong Tae Kwang is some of the worst SLS I've ever had omg! Along with Oh Soo Hyun in Doctor Stranger and…
Oh I totally forgot about Doctor Stranger! The main couple was honestly so...boring. I couldn't relate to them at all. Would've loved seeing a different version of Doctor Stranger where Park Hoon actually falls for Oh Soo Hyun, but I also enjoyed the complicated relationship Soo Hyun had with Park Hae Jin's character.
Surprisingly, I don't get SLS too often with dramas (with manga it's another thing), but Sungjae as Gong Tae Kwang was an especially ridiculous case! Did anyone like her with Yi An? I watched most of the drama without knowing Yi An was the main guy, and hence most likely endgame, so when it happened I was feeling super betrayed. Two of my friends who watched School 2015 felt the same way. I just thought this particular case was exceptionally poor in its execution. She clearly had more chemistry with Tae Kwang, and their relationship felt way more fleshed out. The whole angsty Yi An route was not for me. Obviously, I'm never going to recover from this one lolol.
So...she's having some difficulty controlling her strengh, since 'that day'....hm.....well...this…
I agree! I love seeing how she handles every problem she's thrown with her strength. It's so refreshing to see a girl kick ass and have such overwhelming strength. It'll be a big mistake if they take it away any time soon...
Episode 1 felt a bit slow, but episode 2 really made up for it. You get to know both characters a lot more, including why they behave the way they do. I'm excited for the next one, and hope the ost situation improves (right now it doesn't really sound like there are many tracks?)
I've been seeing a lot of "I don't understand why so many people like this drama" complaints…
I think you missed my point. I'm not asking people to stop expressing their opinions though...Like I said, I'm all for people having different opinions, but when people repeatedly come back to Goblin webpages just to complain and whine about why so many people like the drama, it really serves no purpose. Leave your opinions and critiques, have a discussion, but expect backlash when your comments indirectly jab fans who enjoy the show (e.g., why do people like this so much? Fans are obviously going to take that negatively regardless of your intentions).
Anyway, I'm 100% over arguing with people in this comments section, so have a nice one.
I've been seeing a lot of "I don't understand why so many people like this drama" complaints…
Right? I just find it really odd that people put so much energy going back to a Goblin based webpage to talk smack about it. And most of the time, their critiques aren't even constructive, yet they get confused when fans of the show respond with differing opinions. Like, geez I didn't like DOTS even though most people did and you didn't see me living on DOTS' comments section.
I've been seeing a lot of "I don't understand why so many people like this drama" complaints across different areas of the internet and I just wanted to say: you don't need to understand. You have your opinion on why you don't like Goblin, or why you don't think it's as great as people make it out to be, and that's cool. Nothing will make you change your opinion obviously, so you know...just move on? Watch something you love, or find a new favorite. But when Goblin broke tvN's rating record previously held by Reply 1988, and 50% of the viewership on MDL rated it as a 10, the drama obviously had aspects that appealed to the masses regardless of your personal tastes. By no means do you have to like Goblin, but why rain on other people's parade?
Many reincarnation related dramas typically fail me with their endings, but Goblin did it perfectly! Despite all the opinions on this drama being overrated, it has completely won me over from the very first to the very last episode and now has a rightful spot on my favorite dramas list! I have one complaint though...what is my life going to be like without Goblin??
