I find the story interesting and wish I could keep watching, but is it just me who's getting lowkey motion sick from the episodes? The camera is so shaky all the time and there are so many unnecessary cuts! Jumping ahead to S2 anyway and the camerawork already seems so much steadier.... Shame.
As long as we DON'T GET RUDE & ATTACK OTHERS PERSONALLY it's really FINE to express our feeling about this drama.…
Tbh agreed. Especially since a lot of us have read the webtoon, we know what to expect with endgame! We just don't want Seojun's wonderful character from the original story to be twisted in the drama for the sake of building up the main couple. He's a lot more than that and deserves better :(
so far, i'm liking both suho and seojun, but i prefer seojun a bit more (similar to how i felt with the webtoon at this point!) i definitely veered towards seojun a lot more as the webtoon progressed, but i'm wondering what'll happen here since they'll probably change up the story?? i'm loving how easy it is to watch though, cliches and all!
how can I block someone on mdl? I really don't want to see their hateful comments about a certain character
i hope you can ignore the hate! there are a lot of people on these forum who don't put their energy into useful things (e.g., hating on characters rather than putting that energy into loving and supporting their favorites). i can understand the frustration though; not sure why we can't love our favorite fictional characters without people shouting how problematic they are at us. like, SIS WE BEEN KNEW, but we stan complex characters, so let us do that in peace. i doubt saying this to them will really do anything though. people will be negative as much as they please haha but we can support our faves together!
I find episode 3 underdeveloped but living here in the philippines I always see this kind of news, so I think…
Would you be willing to explain further about why Justin did what he did? Maybe I missed something (as I tend to space out a lot), but it felt pretty extreme for him to try to kill Kiyotaka.
great first episode! i wanted to wring shinji's neck UGH must protect nagi!! i'm looking forward to the progression of her relationships with her neighbors though (including the next door neighbor esp after that cute ending ahh!)
Even though everyone's saying the beginning is slow, but it gets better, I actually felt the opposite. I was hooked at the beginning, but it started to drag on too long for me somehow. The pay off at the end also didn't do it for me. I agree with others saying the cult leader's crime should've been made more public and Apostle Kang should've been punished rather than having her get away to start a new cult. I'm glad Sang Mi gets her mom back at least, but if I were her, I would've never gone back. Best part of this drama for me was the friendship haha and I'm glad I got to discover Woo Do Hwan too! Overall I do think it was a good drama, but I just wanted more from it.
I don't see how she can have the audacity to call him a drop out when she accepted a bribe from that scum and…
And I'm wondering why she believed he did it with so much conviction. I can't say I've been in the position where one of my loved ones was suspected of killing another person (most people probably can't...) but given the situation, I just think I would've given Bok Soo a chance to explain himself and put some belief in him after knowing he's the type to save people in distress. It seemed like she turned against him pretty easily, which I can't relate to. But yeah, I don't know exactly what happened after she saw Se Ho fall off the rooftop, so maybe it'll be more believable once it unfolds. For now though, her sudden shift (the look of disgust she gave Bok Soo in that classroom before he was dragged out) rubbed me the wrong way.

I think Pingukkie and I (maybe others as well) are confused about why she would go against Bok Soo for something she "thought she saw." We currently don't know her relationship with Se Ho, but it seemed like she was getting pretty close to Bok Soo there, and I admit to losing interest at certain points so my attention drifted, but I think I heard Bok Soo call her his girlfriend at one point? At this point, with the information I've been given, it's simply hard to wrap my mind around how fiercely she believed Bok Soo would commit such a terrible act, especially after seeing him save someone being bullied firsthand. But time will tell.

Did I miss the part where they said she took a bribe to side with Oh Se Ho? Because in the 4th episode, Oh Se Ho thanked her for doing him a favor in the past, but she didn't seem to understand what he was talking about. Regardless, I agree. I don't like her personality so far, and can't understand how she could've gone against Bok Soo.
I was hoping this drama would be a heartwarming family story, but it seems pretty certain the dad has some sort of illness :( I hope it's not the case where it's terminal and that he's known and is trying to get his daughter a mother for after he passes. It does seem like he's had an idea about his illness though, with how he's been holding onto all these "miracles" he comes across. I'm also really curious how Sato Takeru's character will play into everything?! Overall I'm really enjoying this drama, and I'm thankful someone picked it up to sub!!
From the flashbacks I can already see they’re really gonna go with the “shared trauma” and “fated love”…
Seriously! As we got to see more, I was just like, "Please kdrama gods, don't let that young boy be Young Joon. Please!" but I guess that's exactly what we're getting. I'm still enjoying the chemistry between them, but I can just taste my impending fading interest as the backstories unfold.
First episode subbed! Seems like the events are very similar to the Korean version so far, and I'm not complaining one bit. It still had me on the edge of my seat and took up all of my attention! However, as much as I love Kentaro, I'll need to see more from him. Lee Je Hoon was amazing as the lead. Can't wait until the next episode.
Great article, catstreet! I've watched a lot of his works, but have never really taken the time to read up on him as a person, so I enjoyed learning new facts about him through your article! I did know that he's good friends with Masaki though heh :)
I first saw him in Heroine Shikkaku and tbh...I was rooting for Sakaguchi Kentaro's character (that second lead syndrome...) So I didn't completely fall for Yamaken until after watching Suki na Hito Ga Iru Koto! Besides Mare, I've watched/attempted to watch all of the roles he's taken on that have interested me. I'm interested in Mare, but my relationship with asadoras haven't been great. I tend to lose interest after 50 episodes...(for reference I've tried Gochisousan and Amachan). Do you recommend I give Mare a try anyway? I also need to continue Rikuo... Lastly, I'm really looking forward to The Disastrous Life of Saiki K since I love the anime! From what I remember, the trailer looked hilarious :)
