The trailer for episode 15 is cracking me up..lmao. Something I really love about this drama is that they interspersed the very heavy scenes with light hearted scenes, making the drama seem overall more lighthearted. If not, this would have been a very traumatic watch tbh. I don’t think I have seen cultivators as evil as the Shi Clan and the 8 palaces in this drama.

I think the only reason why he is not so hard on Ruling is so that Tingyan will have someone to accompany her if he dies. But I hope either him or Tingyan discover what a betrayer she is and cut her off. That stupid snake is too far gone.

He has such a melancholic look to him too. He does the cold arrogant act well but sometimes he has this sad look, and you can’t help but feel so bad for him.

It’s called wilful ignorance. Those blood thirsty cultivators have all drank his clan’s blood and feasted on their flesh. They are willing to turn a blind eye and make up stories to cover everything up if it mean they can trap him again to use him to advance their cultivation.

This is the same thing that happened in legend of female general with He Yan and Chu Zhao. I didn’t even understand their “friendship” at all.

Ruling and that snake are so annoying, I literally ff their scenes. I hope they both die atp.

You are right. Frankly, I am questioning why the screen writers wrote it this way. In the novel, there was no love line between Ruling and the snake, idk why the screenwriters had to shoe horn it into the drama. Even if he loves Ruling, he knows the 8 palaces are after Sima Jiao’s life, yet his immediate concern is to stay with Ruling instead of heading out to look for his master? That stupid smile he has when he is with Ruling gets me more irritated, he literally hangs onto her every word no matter how stupid. Didn’t he learn anything at all from Sima Jiao after staying with him for 500 years? So stupid.

Ah I see, it’s an interesting form of cultivation.

I went from finding that snake cute to hoping he dies or pays with his life if he betrays Sima Jiao. After suffering so much and seeing his people used as breeding hens for those evil cultivators, the last thing Sima Jiao needs is his pet snake betraying him for a stupid reason. Idk why they even have a love line between that betrayer Ruling and the snake, I don’t feel any chemistry between them, and the snake is just too stupid to live.

Arthur Chen is so beautiful. Every single feature on his face is well placed and perfect.

Episode 13 had me screaming!! Did they actually make love or what…cos my girl Tingyan was sweating after she “gave it another try” to not waste her effort..or does dual cultivation require undressing him and dropping kisses all over his body?

I now understand why Sima Jiao kept calling that snake stupid.

Ah I rarely cry while watching dramas, but I teared up when I finished this drama. The main couple have so much chemistry that it didn’t even feel like they were acting.

The ML, Li Xun is such an interesting character…he is so deliciously flawed, but you can’t help rooting for him to be truly happy even when the knuckle head is actively taking decisions to ruin his own happiness. He was definitely madly in love with Zhu Yun, and he proved it to her in many ways. Unfortunately, he is prone to self sabotage, and that is probably because he had a hard childhood, and has experienced loss all his life, so when he is cornered, he goes all out without caring about the consequences. He is also very capable and confident, so he doesn’t fear ruining his life because he believes he can always build himself back up. Thankfully, with Zhu Yun as his anchor, he stopped being so hard on himself and finally allowed himself to let go of things and be happy with her. Past Li Xun would never let go of Gao jiahong otherwise.

I could write a whole thesis about Zhu Yun, she is one of the purest and bravest Fl I have ever seen, because it takes courage to love a man like Li Xun, but for Zhu Yun, absolutely no other man will do. I was really rooting for her all through this series, and I’m so happy she got full closure and a happy ending with the love of her life.

As for that weasel gao jiahong, I think the writers of this drama let him off too easily. He had always been plagued with debilitating inferiority complex to Li Xun, but he went too far with his actions, especially the last stunt he pulled with Zhu Yun. That was beyond despicable, he didn’t deserve the pity party last arc, and he didn’t redeem himself enough imo. If Fang Zhijing could go to jail, I don’t see why gao jiahong would go scot free considering they are both partners in crime.

I don’t want to make this post too long but lighter and princess is a must watch, with flawed but loveable characters. This is definitely going on my rewatch list if only so I could see the heart fluttering stares, kisses and warm hugs between Zhu Yun and Li Xun over and over again.

I think the snake is jealous the grandmaster found a new pet..lol.

I don’t even blame him, those useless cultivators even cannibalise his dead relatives, not to mention the original FL is an actual assassin sent by the demon realm. It’s actually sad that he is just so lonely that he decided to keep only her with him cos according to the truth spell, she doesn’t have the instinct to kill him…yet. He is probably paranoid though, which is why he keeps asking her if she is ready to kill him now as her cultivation increases. Poor guy.

Can’t wait for episode 9! She turned into otter. Very fitting for her.

I dislike the way Ye Ruling is taking advantage of Tingyan’s naivety and fondness for her. Even if she wants to save her family, she can just come clean to Tingyan, instead of scheming behind her back.
