Her excuse is believable for now. After helping the Ye family with the Luyang case, she proved to be a kind and gentle person, so third uncle probably thinks she is just being her usual kind self.

Also, the Jiang family locked her up in that nunnery for 10 years, and she said “XFF” died to save her. Paying back such a favour was a big deal in those days, so I say she is covered for now.

However, the psychotic princess is a different matter entirely. She is already suspicious and if she decides to torture XFF’s father to get her to admit she is the fake JL, I don’t know if our FL can withstand that. Her dad is her weakness currently. I’m guessing she may fess up later about her identity, but hopefully she would have contributed enough to the country to not receive a capital punishment for identity theft.

From episode 1, her husband literally hit her on the head with a shovel and buried her alive, and the real jiang li got beaten to death too. I think that set the tone for how heavy the drama will be. Which is probably why they tried to balance it out with slap stick comedy scenes and characters.

Yea if XH wasn’t there, she would have crymbled. She almost stepped forward 3 times I believe and he had to call her back each time. I applaud her strength because it must have been so hard holding back after seeing her father completely broken down to a child like mental capacity. I wonder what torture that slimy magistrate put him through..the stabs and castration she gave him wasn’t enough..🔪 🔪 🔪

That psychotic princess is so scary though, even the emperor can’t do anything about her so I hope JL retains her composure in front of the court.

There are no comedy scenes anymore, the drama has been getting really heavy since the last 2 episodes…and from the trailers of the next episodes, it looks like it will continue like that.

Yes that’s what I appreciate so much in this drama. I noticed from the beginning that although the ML usually steps in to help her, he has his own game running too. From the beginning, when she used him to get back to the Jiang Family in the capital as he was investigating the illegal salt trade, she always takes the initiative in her schemes, then he steps in when she needs it or she is in a bind.

Episode 23 trailer - looks like our girl really loves her man’s smell cos she wrapped herself in his coat and is happily smiling like a satisfied cat..lol.

Also, her identity may be at risk of exposure to that psycho princess when she brings her father to the capital to seek justice. The coming up episodes seem to be so heavy..can’t wait to see how she resolves it.

So that the assassins will let down their guards. If he appears to look more leisurely with a female guest, it makes it seem like he let his guard now, so they too will let their guard down and not be over prepared to assassinate him.

I was just satisfied that she castrated him in the worst way possible before he died.

I swear..at this point I am starting to think she is deliberately teasing him. She really jumped on his back cos she was scared of a rat, then he turned to look at her and she looked at him too, and still stayed comfortably perched on his back even after the rat was gone. She only came down when she saw her father’s subordinates 🤣🤣. I love her so much, she’s so relatable, I won’t come down from duke su’s back either.

I fear we won’t be ready when he starts using a sword, he already looks so good and fights so well with the fan. With a sword, he will be a legit demon.

These 2 new episodes were so heavy..I hope XH comes through for Jiang Li, although she is very capable and smart, some roadblocks just need influence and authority to surpass, and XH can help her with that. Although I think he has his own plans in the works.

On a lighter note, I’ll say it again, I very much appreciate that the writers didn’t make Jiang Li a shy, simpering woman. Girlie knows what she wants and who she likes, even if she hasn’t clearly admitted it to him yet.

In the shirtless water fall scene, XH told her to look down, cos he was undressed..and girlie really said, ‘not a chance’! She looked down for quarter of a millisecond, then looked back up and kept staring at him till she met his eyes, he had no choice but to wear his shirt in front of her 🥰🤣🤣. They are too cute! Now she has his undergarments and his torn handkerchief with his blood on it in her possession..lucky girl.

The piggy back scene was also so cute, sure it was in a stinky mine but a win is a win nonetheless.

The drama is getting heavier and more interesting, with even less comedic elements but I hope we have more time with our favourite couple in the next episodes! Can’t wait for the previews!

You are so lucky..the best bits are ahead. I wish I can erase the show from my head and rewatch it again, waiting for episodes is pure torture.

The “almost kiss” gif in episode 19 is my favourite, for half a second I thought he would actually go for it, but he’s such a tease. Lol

I can’t decide which scene is more sizzling..the “rain scene” or “flower scene”. Even the “wear my undergarments scene”..😩😩. It’s been a while since we had a cdrama couple with this sort of natural and sizzling onscreen chemistry.

Almost 10k comments halfway through the drama! I hope the story keeps improving, the ML and FL are already nailing their role with great chemistry.

His screen time increases as you continue the drama, with incredible onscreen chemistry with the FL.
