Must I clarify to everyone that I meant he is toxic as a bf/husband?

I'm talking about TTJ as BOYFRIEND/HUSBAND, not a KING. It FIGURATEIVELY screams "I'm lonely, you're all I have, you cannot leave me, ever, etc" He doesn't want her to leave even if she wants to kill him or she wants to leave. Posessive? Yes. Toxic? Hell yeah. Yunxi is an amazing actor, the way he expresses his hurt amazes me, but the character itself is pretty toxic. Both leads are. They don't even talk to one another, always causing miscommunication, and ofc TTJ goes on a killing spree, and assumes the worse. Even at episode 28, they're still not communicating. lol You'd think they would've learned by now.

That's what makes him toxic, in a real life situation. If someone betrayed you, you would leave them imemdiately. TTJ refuses to, he gets quite possessive to the point that he'll kill anyone who tries to steal her away from him. He even said it himself, he wants her by his side even if she doesn't want to. We, as an audience, already know YXW/LSS's motive from the get go, I don't know why y'all are surprised by her behavior. She's trying to prevent him from becoming the Devil God, yet all the misunderstandings pushes him towards doing evil deeds. Their whole relationship is toxic either way. lol

More like shame they cancelled The Originals for Legacies. haha

Tan Tai Jin is quite toxic. It's getting difficult to like him now, he just uses loneliness and pity for audiences to love him. Other than that, he's just not a good character, let alone a husband. hahaha

edit: HE'S NOT A GOOD BF/HUSBAND! Yes, he's a great king to his people but his relationship with YXW is TOXIC, he himself is TOXIC, she's TOXIC - THEY'RE BOTH TOXIC BECAUSE THEY DON'T COMMUNICATE. He goes on a killing spree, controls her like a puppet (Hello, isn't that toxic?! ) He needs to learn how to control his emotions when it goes out of control because of YXW. Some of y'all need to chill out and actually accept some criticism, jeez. ) Idk why you guys are surprised by YXW's behavior/motive because we all know what she was up to since the beginning of the drama.

Sun Zhen Ni'acting in ep 23 when she nearly murdered BC was amazing. Idk, her expression was so realistic. Love Pian Ran's personality in general as well! :3

Why is it one episode per day?!!!

It was just someone I came across on a discord server. I had asked if anyone was watching this drama when it first aired. This gal answered she was hesistate but started watching it yesterday. My god, her reaction is kind of ...strange to me. LOL She kept complaining about the editing, the writing, the fantasy aspect basically. I don't know this gal but sounds like she never watched any xianxia drama ever. I told her if she doesn't like it, then she didn't have to continue watching it. At this point I stopped replying cause she kept nitpicking everything about it even though she said she enjoys it more than dislike. But she kept making fun of the costume, the makeup, the main male lead, etc.

Over the next few hours, she said "mid c-drama, garbage editing, typical trope." etc and I'm wondering whetherit's sarcasm at this point or is she even watching the same drama as me? lol I know people have their preferences but man if you're gonna be like this, you should've stopped a while ago instead of continuing with your bs comments.

Yeah it's apparently average to them; I didn't know how to reply when they said it lol. Personally, I think its a wonderful drama.

You're welcome! Yeah, that's the downside to watching Chinese dramas if you don't understand it, translations doesn't give it justice. :( I wish translators would give a footnote for jokes.

No no! You're fine, I was just reminded of what Susu said to Pian Ran. Her intentions wasn't to insult Pian Ran, but the word itself had a double meaning so it was pretty funny since Pian Ran is a seductress/ seven tailed fox..

This is funny because Susu actually called her xiao hu li jing (小狐狸精) meaning little fox spirit. However, 狐狸精 can also mean seductress / slut/ sly fox, etc. It's basically an insult. It was probably unintentional but hilarious tidbit. xD

She was in Chuang 2020! I thought she looked familiar although she didn't debut in the final lineup. Her appearance really fits the fox like character honestly.

Do I need to watch the prequel or sequel to this?

To be fair, she doesn't know what happeed to him, she only knows the Demon God and his inherent demonic traits that already marked him as evil. We take pity on him because we see what hapepned, Susu did not. However, to give her some credit - she knows he's been treatly unfairly when she sees unjust.

Yunxi's acting is incredible, you can see how he's breaking after every betrayal. His inherent traits of evilness are leaking out - it gives off psychotic vibes. It's kind of terrifying but really amazing acting.
