Is there love triangle or annoying side female characters? And how about side couples?
There was a slight love triangle but it was dealt with quickly so it wasn't very annoying. lol Nothing much about side couples thus far, the spotlight is on the main couple, it's a slow-burn romance.
I don't get it! What's so special about Tan Song Yun that all the shows she is in never seem to disappoint me?I…
Honestly, I don't get it either! I've always loved her dramas, it has such good plots, and she has great chemistry with her co-stars as well. Her acting is great, and very natural within each role she plays. In this one, I think she's slightly awkward but then the leads are awkward themselves so hahaha But you can still see the chemistry between them and it's nice to watch!
I binged on 6 episodes just yesterday. I liked dramas like Lighter and Princess and You are my Hero.... so it…
It is similar in a sense that the male lead is more of the quiet and reserved type but also direct with his words, yes. Meanwhile, the female leads are somewhat different. The concept is also quite similar because they dated when they were younger, broke up and met again years later.
So did I get this right, the ML cheated on the FL and has a child? Did they break up because he cheated? Was he…
I'm pretty sure the exact reason for their break up has not been mentioned yet but for sure LC didn't cheat - he loves her dearly. Even cried when she refused to meet up after breaking up *she was the one who asked to break up.) I assume it was the hardship of the LDR, and the fact that he was always busy with work and such but we shall see. This snippet was explained in ep 8 when LC was asked if he ever cried for GX.
Isn't Meng Xiao Shan the older sister of Gui Xiao? Wasn't Gui Xiao introduced as Xiao Shan's younger sister? But in episode 6, Xiaoo Shan mentioned her parents as "my mom and dad" not "our. O.o At first I was like maybe she's talking about her parents-in-law but then she went on to mention "my cousin" instead of "our." So now I'm confused, did I miss something?. lol edit: aCTUALLY I just noticed their surnames are different but the characters were still introduced as sisters so...yeah I'm still confused. LOL Please help, thank you.
I quite like it so far. The tension between the leads is amazing, you can feel the awkwardness after not seeing each other for many years. His friends/coworkers/army mates rooting for them to rekindle the love is hilarious honestly.
True but only main lead couple (i guess that’s how they’re written in the novel) … other couples are okay
Yes, he does but we don't see your typically lovey dovey scenes. It's very subtle, Xiao Se just said he likes her and it seems they were together in the end. Same with min couple.

Secondary couple is also strange to me because Xiao Se acted like he treated Qian Luo as a sister more than someone he likes romantically. In fact, he has more chemistry with Wuxin than Qian Luo imo. xD
Oh there's romance in this? Between which character? Please spoil me
Adding on to what Wenkexing said, although there are couples but I personally think some of them seemed forced and lack of chemistry. However, I'm not surprised because it is a wuxia genre where romance isn't typically the main focus.
