She is vindictive because she is illegitimate. Even if you turn the world upside down, and no matter how much her mother acts entitled as the first love, in reality she will always be the illegitimate daughter. She can't hate her mother enough because she also understands her, in a way, seeing that her own uncle spoke to her so harshly and gave her no consideration, as if she was nothing. It's not her fault that she's the other daughter, but at the same time, she doesn't know any other way to act because she will never be seen as having any legal right (unless the mistress and dad marry) to anything, and even if she does become legal in the eyes of the law, you can't erase that she was the "love child".

I hope so. Okay forgiveness is one thing but to continue staying with him is another. Plus, her mother in law's fraud, surely not all that is truly forgivable after everything??

I agree with what you've said. I don't think these decisions are finite and I believe that they're open to flouting them, given the circumstances (it gets too hard to not say anything, feeling sorry for the mother, seeing how manipulative the father is, etc..). I definitely respected both's decision because while JM chose to keep the secret, his focus was on his mother's health. I'm not sure how serious it is to maintain a healthy liver after transplant, but I'm sure there are some health considerations to continue a healthy life, so that is understandable.

As for the daughter, it seems that the only reason why she's not saying the truth is not solely because she wants to keep the illusion of a family unit, as in not having divorced parents or a "broken family", but because this is her retort against her half sister who is the illegitimate daughter. In the eyes of the law, she is legal, the other is not. Although I do have to think that she is in such a volatile in her life, and to have issues like this going on while preparing for college which is the next step in adulthood is crazy stressful so having to put a pause in conflict, only until she gets to the college of her dreams, is understandable.

As for Roy, he was about to tell her, but it's always hard when you're carrying someone's secret. How are you supposed to say something that could not only ruin someone's life, but hurt them deeply? It may not be your knife but it still would be like stabbing her with the truth.

I just hope that they don't create a redemption arc that saves IH's lying face. Sure it seems that he only cheated that one time during the conference, was told that SH was pregnant and would take care of the baby only for him to cheat again for 3 years straight when SH and his daughter came back to Korea for good.

If that's not something to spew over, I don't know what is. I hope that while they give CJS the independence that she badly needs, that she also gets the love, the real love that she so deserves after putting her life and soul into her family. Her kids are adults growing up and her life no longer needs to be centred around them so she can definitely entertain Dr Roy who seems like her match. Even now when she knows that he might have feelings for her, and she with him, she's not doing anything that might tempt her, or lead her to cheat. Which is a stark contrast to her lying bastard of a husband.

Divorced women can have love even after divorce and it shouldn't be that standing up for yourself and choosing yourself leads to some sort of solitary confinement where the only thing you have is a career. It doesn't send a good message because it supports the idea that true happiness is found only in a family unit, even after all the lying and disrespect, because the inverse is lonely.

I know it wasn't said but maybe she did have a bit of a crush on him so that's why there's such guilt when things happened the way that they did because she was the other girl who got pregnant and essentially stole someone's boyfriend. Maybe her being the perfect wife was also in part some repentance for the past. But you would think that they'd got over it. I mean who holds onto high school/college days for that long?

I do hope that we get more of a background story on how exactly the three of them were like during high school and during the start of the affair. I feel like that would solve the mystery of how IH and SH are so inseparable and why IH married JS and why he won't divorce her. Why SH is happy being a mistress etc.

If you know you have legs but all you've done for a while is crawled even though you've walked before, then you're going to have a hard time walking. She doesn't yet realise the power that she holds because she hasn't been able to exercise it. Her whole life has been suppressing her potential for other people because she is soft-hearted and loving so unless she again sees and hears all the evidence of the affair in front of her, that will start the fire in her to actually fight for her rights. Right now, she's weak and everything is stacked against her. She'll need more hours to work and a few people on her side to help her/teach her that she can actually walk and has walked before. Because then she can start running and build a life for herself and support her children in their own dreams.

It's hard to say especially because they're just new friends and they don't know each other yet. Her still being in her blind era would just defend her husband and come up with different excuses for him or maybe even see Roy in a different way.

If Roy does tell her then obviously it would be a free pass for HS to swoop in and take not only her husband but her life from her, and maybe even her kids.

I hope he does tell her in time and he just doesn't wait until the last minute to do it.

She hasn't learnt yet that she holds as much power as her pos husband because she has been a long life caterer for other people. That's why Roy gives her the kind of other leg to stand on so that she can finally start being more assertive and less subservient to people who wrong her. But I cannot wait to see how the confrontation and seeing for herself her cheating husband and his mistress would do to her. I think then because it's such a serious wrong that she would finally stop being so nice and actually assert her rights.

And even cleaning up the son's girlfriend's room. Ahah she is such a mum.

From real life experience, it's never the fact that they were stupid, it's the fact that they are in love and choose to be wilfully blind because to face the truth is to disrupt a lot of things.

But also I hope her kids don't help in the betrayal because if that's the case, I would also see that as a betrayal of sorts.

Yeah he wants to be the one doing the shitting on, not the one being shat on. An egomaniac who always needs to be the centre of attention.

I hope that she gives herself the chance for a real, kind of love. Often with these cases, the women gain their independence but never love again, which is understandable, but also sad :(
