There is a REASON why they are all beloved novels, BECAUSE they are toxic, unhinged and thrilling. Stop listening to all the fragile, whiny crowd and ruin good novels with lukewarm, mediocre live actions.

Fan Xiao is a character I wouldn't want to meet in real life but as a character he's so interesting, Yun Qi is so talented, Hao Yi Ran is also great actor. Bringing such intense story to life.

Everything about this series is just so good, acting, directing, writing and use of lights and shadows. The characters so so multiple layered, it's not simple good vs evil, I think they want to send the message that it's possible for even such contradicted, broken souls to somehow love and heal each other. I'm not sure how I can watch anything else now since it sets such high standard.
What I especially like about TMS is that I don't see the usual complains about red/black flags from the "sensitive/fragile crowd" like in thai BLs, there's almost no whining about toxicity in CBLs.
This series is just gold, I appreciate a level of manipulation Fan Xiao has. Poor Shulang, getting trapped like that, although he does put up fight.

I think there's still hope. Who could've imagined last year series like To My Shore, Kill to Love and Revenged Love would come out. I have hopes and a good feeling they'll push these boundaries even more in 2026. Regarding BAB it's a wild story, it will be a bold move to adapt it.
There was a petition for netflix a few months ago, where did it go? Can't a streaming service just buy and release it!? It's a piece of medie from 5 years ago, soon, even if it will be released it will look outdated.
It's also censored, so many BLs and censored BLs have already been broadcasted and the sky didn't fall and the world keeps spinning.
At this point I think the only reasonable way to see live adaptation for 2ha is for other producer to buy the rights of the book and make a brand new adaptation with new cast, it's unfortunate that this drama will not see the light of the day.
The positive side is that a new drama will probably be uncensored BL because luckily it's normal in 2025 to see true BLs, the negative side is of course it won't be with the perfect cast for CWN and MR.
