That’s very true, she’s been much stronger and sharper lately… but you’re right she is grieving.

And it’s a void that can never be filled, only a fence put around it.

A relationship is not on her radar or long term plan.
At the moment anyway, it’s still a Kdrama.

Just because MS didn’t want her, her mother knew where & when she was meeting them. She should have been there to pick up the pieces after MS was shattered. Before she could harm herself.

I really wish your idea of parents helping their child pivot could have been part of the show.
Almost like a public service, but alas it would not get this story (though fictional based in reality) to where the writer wanted it.
I have to check, but I remember in The Judge from Hell there was information about the national suicide prevention helpline.
If there wasn’t one, I hope one will be on this show.

It was a heart wrenching episode.
I think it was very well written and perhaps very realistic.
As a parent you want to take your child’s pain away and fix the problem.
The issues were time, insurmountable problems and adversaries and being ill equipped to respond.

Yes SH treated her daughter like a child, but that always worked. As a “pre-mie” since before her birth, SH felt responsible for everything I mean everything that happened to MS.

She didn’t let her experience all or any of life’s frustrations and setbacks.

And what happened in a matter of days would overturn the row boat we all live on.
As a victim of violence , she was made the perpetrator. Victim blaming is soul crushing. MS’s pride was doing well in school and getting in to the prestigious high school. That was taken away so her routine, that brought her happiness, was gone.
And then her mother lost the cafe - their livelihood. I’m not sure MS even knew that.

I hope this was a wake-up call that mental health is real and definitely underutilized in SK…

Episode 12 was painful (while shine the assault really) I wasn’t expecting that… maybe I was in denial too. 😔

Yes I do agree with this point, it was definitely out of character.
I think it was also her definite uncomfortableness saying it (oopa) at all. She tried to acquiesce to DS request.
I think if it were more natural not so stilted it would hurt less to the ear.
Also is “honey or yabo” only for married people?
That would have sounded like a more mature thing than oppa.
(Definitely not using it the first time in front of a guest… strongly agree!)

In so many shows, the line let’s keep that between us or don’t tell DS in the case…
Why do people keep that and not share it.
More often than not it begins poor or miscommunication that leads to bigger problems that might have been avoided.
Why would GS give her the courtesy of acquiescing to her not so subtle demand?

That scene felt intimate when JI said his name (non-formal) few times.
That’s one of the few times it was subtle yet powerful.
And you are right JI will need to be told, she won’t get the subtle hint at all. 🤔

Today’s episode was very very sad…. Probably predictable too…
I just hadn’t seen that in KDramas before.
Sadly in reality it happens though.

I haven’t thought of a plausible way… though, I think the man she hit with her delivery scooter might play a part in her rise to a new identity.

Sadly through her misguided “honest straightforward” approach everyone at the Min company knows her or knows her face quite well.

As long as she can get to a point she has some power I can suspend a lot of disbelief (not all, but a lot)!
