LX saving LJQ was like an angel appearing from the dark cold. She's so darn cute, even in turbulant times. Her holding a carrot stick in front of the mule bc she can't ride a horse. Gaaah, I found that so endearing and cute.

I have same thoughts as you with all the dramas you mentioned. I started but didn't finish any. I skimmed last half of it and then typically skimmed the last ep to get closure. Most of these drama kinda lack the excitement or the quality deteriorate. POJ is aesthetically pleasing, but too many plot holes

I don't want to explain in depth since I already had. Ml saved crown prince and helped him ascend to the throne, this is top no 1 merit. He could've asked for anything, like literally anything. If he wanted to marry a princess or become a marquis, the king would've awarded, but he asked to marry a previous servant instead. This worked out bc he did like fl and wanted to marry her. If it wasn't Han scholar ml would've taken his time to woo fl. Anyways, no matter how loyal or how many merits a man get, the king will become cautious and wary. So for asking for the decree it meant he had a weakness which was being a love sick boy. It also showed the king ml had no other ulterior motives. Ml already had marquis as his brother in law, and having collected so many merits, if he asked for a bigger award then he would eventually become too powerful. The king having ml come to the capital was of two things: to keep an eye on ml and to use him as right hand man. Basically using ml as a hostage in a way, ml having his family tag along meant ml is unaware of the king's thinking.

Omg, smh, wtf is this, why is ep 34 just as good if not even better. How the hell does beans have to do with rebellion, i don't get this clue! But, I am impressed with 2nd master and his wife for understanding fl's clue instantly. I appreciate when he said when things become urgent to stay calm.
