I was doing so well, caught up in the eps every day, and now I feel behind. I will ofc still finish but it will def be at a slower pace.

I had really high expectations for TUS, everything seemed to line up, but just bad promotion really derailed everything, and the airing time as well. I just pray and hope that MD and Orchid will do well. Breaks my heart that the director spent a decade writing the script, filmed 5 months, 8 month post production to result in TUS airing 11 days. The disrespect from IQIYI.

Please Tencent, do better and bring Against the Current to it's full potential. I have hopes for this drama particularly bc of how much the production team was gifting us all these promos and trailers. As for MD, idk if it's going to be much promo, but since this isn't any idol or fantasy drama, I don't think haters will attack it as much.

I think I may know why. I forgot the exact reason, but one of my mate showed me from X that a production company that made TUS, under Iqiyi, went bankrupt. So Iqiyi basically already gave up on TUS and wanted to just air it and make as much money as possible hence selling it to Youku.

the 3 beasts were comparing her current form to when she was a dragon queen leader of the demons, so ofc she's a baby. I can't wait for today's ep, she's going to be so epic with the white hair and I saw her slap a subordinate of hers.

I do see current XY change in to some badass clothes so maybe after the 2nd timetravel when she's back she gains power? Not sure, but a lovely find later on

I AM ANGRY! Lost my mood to watch TUS (I finished today's ep so I'll cool down tmr). 5 months to film, 8 months for post prouduction, only to end up like this. A discarded piece of of art. TUS can be listed as one of the worst way to air a drama.
1. aired noon
2. split in 3 platforms
3. 3 eps daily
4. ml's other drama airing same time and an hour earlier than TUS, so it's basically same time and same day
5.no proper promotion
6. no inperson team promo/showcase
7. fans had to beg for a get together, and Iqiyi had the cast do an online stream chat, but so unprepared that there's no host, it was one of the actor that played the hawk that hosted. The questions were boring too.
8. A drama that was scheduled to air 40eps in 13 days now became 11 days because online platforms are greedy.

I feel bad for the director and the whole production team and especially ss. I feel disrespected for her.

That's exactly what happened with Glory today. HMH only appeared briefly online while Naza and the girls appeared in person

I have to keep telling myself, CCTV8 will not allow passionate kisses, it's a platform for tightly regulated shows as children will watch and all of china would have access to. While online platforms like iqiyi and youku would have to buy memberships. Even if there are passionate kiss scenes, to air on CCTV, the drama most likely will cut that out.

I'm also curious why 10000years ago white haired is also called XY, also her identity has half human and half demon.

The Director and writer focused on the plot, not everything is revolved around ml or romance. This drama is named after fl's name, so it's not unusual to focus more on fl. ML is also in prison and fl is trying to save him. This arc is important as it will later lead fl to timetravel. As for why the abrupt romance from ml, everyone including me have wondered and noticed this. The director is not stupid, his last project won awards, he did this purposely for a reason that will shock viewers. You just need to continue watching to find out. Ml appears more in the 2nd half and he has equal screening time as fl then.
