It's the same length of content. The 46 ep is tv version but it has much shorter time. Like on fridays it's a 23min ep vs dvd version where it's more consistent with 40min of content

haha, I love their romance. I actually go back to LX and JJ's scenes at least half a dozen times a day, even now when it ended a month ago.

I can't get enough of Songyun this year. 2020 is her year in regards to her career! Hopefully Dear Mayang Street airs soon bc I can't seem to watch any dramas anymore if she's not in it. Realized she is a really great actress in Under the Power and Loved her deeply in Go Ahead!!

I really love Go Ahead! One of my fave 2020 drama. Some people dropped the drama bc of the romance( very unfortunate) bc of the romance. They don't understand why the ML suddenly liked the FL, it was pretty evident in ep 3 that ML treated FL differently than the other brother. ML started liking FL in gr 12. The drama puts a lot of effort in details and hints, which some people that aren't perceptive enough or just carelessly watching won't care to notice. ML is basically FL's neighboring brother, childhood sweethearts.

For me, it made sense why LX kissed JJ in the forehead in the middle of the night. He just came back from Singapore(nothing good can from from it), when he found out his dad never told FL that he was coming back at a delayed flight and that she was waiting for days...he got anxious bc of their past where he left for Sinapore many years and wasn't able to come back when he wanted to. He got anxious and nervous, afraid even so emotions got to him. He was afraid of losing the FL. People that gave up this drama doesn't understand the ML character. Not everyone expresses their pain openly, especially not with mental heath. Ml's character is a bit complex and viewers just need to observe in order to understand him. As for the many love circles, yes it's crazy but also very swiftly resolved. I liked how most were maturely solved, they took rejection and rejected the person very cleanly with no misunderstandings. It is still very much a family centered drama with some romance , to the point where I was thirsting desperately for more but never got my thirst quenched.

Yes same director. But Go Ahead is much much better. Not a tyoical idol romcom though. More centered on family with some romance and comedy. Highly recommend ?

There are funny and cute moments. But sometimes I find Victoria is playing really hard to be cute in some scenes. I kinda dropped the drama a few times but powered through it, with some skipping and skimming, mainly bc I thought SWL was cute and the kissing part was great. I think if it wasn't for swl I wouldn't have bothered finishing the drama. Also, this is my first swl drama, he was also great in Go Ahead.

I do agree that she was unrealistically naive, like common even if she was a virgin or never had a bf, there is something called media and the internet. Plus she has her two bffs that are in a relationship, I don't believe they don't have girl talks about these things.
If you haven't already, you should give Go Ahead a try. Really love the drama and the FL. Love the actress and the character.

I rmb this was discussed in a Youtube Comment before. Basically, LX's bday is in Summer, July, while ZQ's bday is in the Fall.

I think it's mostly bc he related a lot with LX, he was really immersed in his character and he grew as an actor. Previous dramas may not show much emotions with his eyes because he was somewhat inexperienced. Also, LX's character is different from all his other ones. LX isn't a person that openly expresses his feelings, and when he does he suppresses it, hence why SWL expressing his emotions through his eyes was important as I think that's what LX would behave. Though I do believe that from all his previous costars, TSY is the most experienced and natural one.

Right?! I think it's bc most are used to romcom and cdramas typically portray happiness with the leads getting together, hence people just assume ZQ needs a girl to be happy.

I'm confused about this Dijun. I know Dijun means Heaven King...so is he actually the almighty King of the Heaven or is he just one of the many kings because from all these other fantasy dramas, Eternal Love and Ashes of Love, the King of Heaven usually just sits on the throne and do nothing. This guy is pretty young looking also.

People started getting mad bc of the outrageous love lines. It started off as a love triangle (dw, it's not really), and then it lead to love hexagon. But, what I really liked was how everyone handled the rejection or how everyone was quick to reject the person. There wasn't too much conflict between all those love lines. Everyone is still good friends with each other. If you want a romcom, this drama isn't it. It's not a typical idol romcom drama. It's family centered drama with a roller coaster of emotions. You will feel happy and laughing in one scene and in a split second it's sad and you cry. Romance happens 2nd half of the drama, but there are a lot of cute and sweet adorable moments in the beginning as well. The last few eps were kinda draggy and I had to power through it, and I had complaints bc the side characters had more screen time than the mainlead. But overall, still a great drama. I'm rewatching it a 3rd time already.

If you see other BTS of the drama, SWL is a really really shy boy. It's a wonder how he can be soo smooth and great/natural at skinship or behaving like a bf. I think director was a big help in directing how swl should behave in romantic scenes bc swl is known as a "straight boy" meaning he doesn't know how to sweet talk. Similar to Yibo. There was a bts of swl and tsy enacting on the couch where he suggested getting marry. In the drama he was very gentle in pulling JJ in his arms and wrapping his arm around her. But in the bts he was rough and the director and ling dad was saying they look more like siblings than lovers. He's still a young boy, and I do see a lot of improvements in his acting. He doesn't have any background training like the rest of the others. He never went to theatre school or anything, it's all by accumulative experience. But I am sure he has had private acting classes.

Exactly! Some say JJ saved LX, and Li dad saved ZQ. For me i think both JJ and Li dad saved ZQ, but without JJ ZQ will still survive.

No he doesn't and honestly he doesn't need it bc it's not what he desires or needs in his life at this moment. What he needed was to belong to a family, to officially and legally belong bc if it's not legally then he still have this fear of being abandoned. So what he needs isn't a gf but a family and to cure his abandonment issues. I honestly don't understand why everyone wants ZQ to have a gf. A happy ending doesn't require a significant other.

and then I broke down sobbing when JJ said "Ge, what's wrong with you, are you sick"

I've rewatched that scene many many times. It made me realized how vulnerable LX truly was/is. How much he had to endure during those 9 years in Singapore being apart from the people he loved. How much JJ meant to him and how she was his sole salvation to keep him going throughout those years. I wouldn't put it past him the thoughts of suicide occurred. He had to day dream often to keep himself going. A young adult that has to go to medical school, take care of his mentally abusive immobile mother, take care of his kid sister, cook and do chores. That's way too much for a person let alone an 18 year old. People say he's weak but I say he's one of the strongest character I know.

JJ's words broke me bc it showed that she really is the only person that can truly understand LX. No one knew or cared to be perceptive enough to know that something isn't alright with LX, but JJ could sense it, could see it. Her helplessness and frightened tone when she said those words got to me deep.

I analyzed every aspect of the drama, but that watermelon smashing part I never really got. I guess, it could also mean all good things will eventually come to an end. Since the best part is the middle of the watermelon, and he never got to have it since it was dropped. The best part of his life was the decade with JJ, Li dad and ZQ, but especially with JJ. He had to leave the only happiness in his life, the only sweetness in his bitter life.
