Exactly … I like how the producers allow the viewers to interpret the main leads facial expressions & what they may convey in this cdrama.. this all leads up to their romance not being one-sided anymore .. a real slow burn

During that drinking scene at the table when the FL told the ML, "you're playing dirty," after he coerced her into drinking from her cup his lips had just touched. When he flashed that dimpled smile, it looked like she was in awe for a second over his dimples & probably thought that he looked cute.. but then she looks over at the maids to stop herself from staring too hard. I love how their eyes speak before they can even say a word. Maybe I'm overanalyzing this scene, but that's definitely how it felt. This buzz.

Thank you for explaining this.. I was a little confused that it had to be other people in cahoots with them to take down the Jin family. But overall, they felt so entitled to them but also wanted to hurt them out of envy.

Exactly in the previews Zhou makes a comeback but it won't end well for her... seems like she'll get hurt from an abusive marriage.

From the few previews I've seen, I definitely think Du Cuique will reappear later in the series. There has to be a deeper explanation for why she and her brother Du Zheng are so fiercely driven to destroy the Lin family. They might even have someone powerful backing them behind the scenes. It feels like they were planted. This storyline is far from over.

Yes I think he carried her bridal style .. I thought they would show it but of course just as you said its for the viewers to figure that out

I think they'll show Du again later on in the drama & there may be some powerful people behind her & her brother attacking the Lin family

She has done an amazing job portraying the character of Xu Lanxiang in “Against the Current” .. incredible actress!

It's the way the ML gives a strong gaze towards the FL and I honestly feel the chemistry between the two... this is way better than a kiss scene. The leads eyes are so expressive.
