Anyone else? I have to pause all other shows I'm watching right now because they all pale in comparison to Against…
I'm planning to watch "Lost you forever" after this cdrama ends.. TTEOTM is already the best cdrama I've ever watched & it took me a long time to move on from that one
how can the drama be going downhill when each episode is stronger than the last, and ep32 is one of the most powerful…
This is already the best cdrama released this year.. the actors actually know how to portray their role .. like it doesn't even matter if they have only a few minutes of screentime
Did not see this coming: Ji Er becoming my favorite minor character 😭😭😭
I've always liked Ji'er character ever since she gave lanxiang that candy which showed their genuine friendship.. so glad she was saved and will go off to have a happy & free life
A theory: Lanxiang also has feeling for Jinqi even before when she was a maid but accepted that they will not…
Yes... I've seen so far three prior scenes that Lanxiang might have caught feelings for Jinqi too .. the time they drunk from the same cup & she looked at him differently & said he was a good person .. also when he accepted her blessings for a good marriage & she looked a bit jealous about it .. so yeah I think she's been fighting her feelings for him
He's so unhinged, I'm sure if she had married Scholar Han, he would have schemed to make them divorce like he…
Exactly... just thinking about the possible scenarios that would've happened if that emperor decree didn't give him the green light to snatch her up... I think he would have went totally insane about her bc he thinks her heart is with another man
Linqi character in the novel is a black flag so I understand why the screenwriters went about it the way they…
I didn't read it but I saw a few comments about it... like its so bad the FL was terrified of the ML but they ended up having a second life together in modern times
Lanxiang really clocked Jinqi’s tea. He’s using his power to get whatever he wants, and it clearly struck a nerve because she’s right. The fact that he brought up Scholar Han when he had nothing to do with the conversation just shows how insecure he is about their previous friendship and how he thinks his wife is “in love” with another man. Of course, he tries to deflect from his own selfish reasons.
And that scene where Jinqi started breathing hard after Lanxiang slapped him again… this man is CRAZY obsessed with her. I don’t even want to imagine what he would’ve done if she actually married Scholar Han, considering the unhinged things he’s already done. I’m glad Lanxiang is speaking up for herself instead of giving him an easy pass. He needs to be reminded of his manipulative tactics because I genuinely think he believes what he did with the emperor’s decree was somehow “romantic.” Now he wants to act like their marriage will be all sunshine and rainbows just because his plan worked.
I like that the story is now making Lanxiang hold a mirror up to Jinqi so he can actually reflect on himself. She wants to be respected as a woman before anything else, and honestly, I’m here for it.
With that childish attitude the fl gave when meeting the elders I really don’t blame the Madam for what she…
Lanxiang is still traumatized and haven't even fully mourned her family. Seeing the grandparents of the Lin family brought back painful memories of her past about her family's death right in front of her face, that's why flashbacks happened during the scene. She had to watch the women of her family die one by one & you expect her to be "openly affectionate" towards the grandfather that left her family for dead...when he could've simply at least allowed Jinqi to warn her at the time. But nah he stopped it from happening. I think she didn't want to end up saying something wrong with a slip of the tongue and that's why she kept her mouth shut. And lets be honest she was FORCED into this marriage its not like it was her choice to be apart of that stuck up family.
People being so mad at what's happening in the story: y'all.. this is a historical drama. You can't watch this…
Exactly... I think the viewers that are upset with this "forced marriage" trope because usually see this happening with supportive roles & then never see them again or they barely make a cameo. But this time we actually get to see it play out on our screens so it makes them uncomfortable. They need to realize that this cdrama is centered around women and its showcasing the struggles they went through in those times and they've overcome it. Its too raw for some viewers.
First of all, Jinqi deserved that slap from Lanxiang! 😒 In that moment, she was so badass. Yes, I’m here for the romance, but stripping a woman of her autonomy is wrong.
When Lanxiang tried to greet Jinqi’s mother and they overheard her speaking negatively about her just because she was a “maid,” Linqi wanted to defend his wife, but Lanxiang stopped him and walked away probably hurt and disappointed. I think she at least expected his mother to respect her after she literally saved the entire Lin family from being wiped out by the poisonous bath water. His mother even gave her the household authority tokens afterward! I honestly feel bad for Lanxiang. She was already forced into this marriage, and now she has to deal with the elders looking down on her without giving her any respect or empathy.
And I’m still confused about why the mother is so upset. Wasn’t she the one who hired more maids and wanted her son to add a few “concubines” to his first marriage? But now that Linqi has made Lanxiang officially his wife and the young madam of the house, suddenly it’s an issue? 😭 Either way tho, Linqi’s plan is still moving forward. He’s going to the capital with his new wife, and his siblings are going too. So the elders can stay home and sulk over something they can’t change. 😂
