> probs one of those guys who kept coming here
There is literally nothing about my profile, my activity, or my comments that backs up your false accusation. The fact of the matter is that you're reporting me because you don't like my opinions and you want someone more powerful than yourself to shut them down for you because they upset you.
How do you know they wouldn't take one look at this conv and suspend YOUR acct?
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
*profile is 2 months old >parked in the comments section of a mediocre drama with a hot ML, right after it gets done airing >loves the mediocre drama >harasses and bullies users who might not say 100% positive things about the drama >uses bullshit conversation to try to keep the drama trending and make comment count on the page go up >uses bullshit conversation without spoiler tags to squish negative comments about the drama by other users off the page and make it look like the show was more well received than it actually was
ALWAYS there's a group of you people acting like lunatics in the KOREAN dramas. Never the chinese, never the japanese, never the thai, just the Korean dramas. Almost like you guys are some kind of twisted PR agents larping as teen girls. It's weird, and accounts like yours are predictable. Let me guess you have 10 sock accounts you use to like your own comments and talk to yourself to make it seem like people like this show.
G*ddam. You guys think you can just shut down any wrongthink conversation you want anywhere on MDL by being the worst bullies possible.
Good reminder to me to always check user profiles before replying to ANYONE in a recently-aired k-drama.
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
> not familiar with casual internet slangs and whateva?
Very much so. It has nothing to do with being perfect, it has to do with readability of a native speaker is all. I'm not exercising totally technically correct english either (although I can when it's necessary like to get an A on a college essay...), and don't expect others to. But you have to be able to read it smoothly.
I don't know how doxxy you'd expect me to get in order to demonstrate my nativeness of english, lol....
No offense, but you're really up in my grill, and imma peace out cuz dayum. Sorry I got you all excited. Really. I'm sorry I did that. I don't want to be in this conv whatsoever. I'm pulling the plug on it. Nite nite.
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
Well there are several technical mistakes that make that sentence really hard to read for a native english speaker. But I don't want to bother you so. Have a lovely day. I'm not here to fight.
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
The very first sentence is technically wrong. So we could start there? But everyone seems angry. Idk if I want to be involved in this kind of vitriolic chat.
However, just for the record, so you can see I'm not just spouting off random crap, here's the original sentence:
>Fortunately, now that troupe of ugly, bitter, complacent and unhappy individuals, with an empty life, with no prospect of realizing their dreams or being happy, will mostly have to look for another actor and another drama to act like real vultures towards of.
Here is the sentence fixed so it makes sense when you read it:
"Fortunately now, the troupe of ugly, bitter, complacent, and unhappy individuals with an empty life and no prospect of realizing their dreams or being happy, will mostly have to look for another actor and another drama to act like a real vulture towards."
I kind of feel like I'm the one being bullied, lol.... this is just so bizarre.
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
The offer's on the table anytime. Have a lovely day.
Again, I have no opinion whatsoever on this drama, so I don't get the hostility...
But I'm an easygoing person, if you change your mind just friend me and we can chat more in PM's. I'd be happy to help you up your english game, I don't take your defensiveness personally.
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this…
I could help you if you like. I get that you're prickly about how I described your english, but I'm serious it's not THAT bad, and I could help you if you want anytime. If you want I can go through your post with you in PM's and give you tips about how to fine-tune your english.
Or not, up to you....
It's not a show, this is the way I write. There's no foof in that comment to try to dress it up and make it seem fancy, all the language I used was functional and essential, but just worded in a technically proficient way.
You should buy it, because it's real. I'm a very good english tutor, even for native english speakers. I edit my friends' college essays and my besties used to copy off my homework all the time in english during school. My english was so good at age 4 that I was pulled out of my kindergarten class for two hours every day to learn english with the 2nd graders. I finished Lord of the Rings in 3 weeks when I was in 4th grade. I've just always been this way.
And if you want, I can help you out if you ever feel so inclined. I think you are highly teachable, as far as just your level of english. It's not bad for a non-native speaker.
They could do 12 ep, it's to draggy for me. It's good drama tho
I have a question for yall... what KIND of draggy are we talking about? Like the kind where there's too much dead air time, like watching someone walk alllll the way down a really long hallway, or drink and ENTIRE glass of water? Or the kind where some stupid subplot is being rehashed and rehashed and there's a lot of circular dialogue? Or too much strategic and political talk?
I wasn't even here, I just saw this page for the first time today. I was wanting to ask a question about this drama, and your comment was just at the top of the page.
I read it. I was not easy to read because I'm a native english speaker and some of those sentences were just slaughtered... but I did basically understand what you're saying. Since I wasn't here and haven't seen this yet, I have no opinion on any of it.
However, you did say something that just as an American, I can't just sit and say nothing about, and it was this:
"It was not simply exercising the right to freedom of speech. They were coming here with the intention of disturbing and offending those who were enjoying the drama and those who like the actors. It was purposeful and extremely toxic."
That is simply exercising the right to freedom of speech. Being a troll or being purposefully toxic, is just as protected by the right to free speech as someone spreading love and rainbows and saying smart shit. Lying is also exercising the right to free speech. That's the point of free speech.
The only speech that isn't protected by freedom of speech, is what we call "yelling fire in a crowded theater"... meaning you don't have the right to intentionally say things that could immediately create grave bodily injury to others (in the instance of yelling fire in a crowded theater, someone could be stampeded).
If one were to say "okay youre not allowed to say anything toxic" then it becomes a question of 'What is toxic EXACTLY. Define the word 'toxic'.' And that debate could end up getting existential and philosophical. For instance... if you have to learn how to deal with seeing shitty comments (because you can't censor them or alter them), and you learn how to cope and end up achieving a new level of inner peace because of it.... then was that 'toxic' speech really toxic? If half of people find something funny, and the other half are offended, then is it toxic or not?
These questions cannot be objectively answered. And so, freedom of speech protects all of it, simply because what is "acceptable speech" and what is not, is fundamentally subjective in nature.
I only stop to say this because in current year, there are lots of big forces at work trying to suppress free speech, all over the world. One of their tactics is to try to alter the meaning or definition of what freedom of speech is, and slowly slowly box people in, in their own ignorance until they've wiped out any real freedom of speech and replaced it with "freedom of acceptable speech". Once you've accepted that [freedom of speech = freedom of acceptable speech], then they've got you under their control. And I don't care if other people put chains on their own minds or their own speech, but if we all just mindlessly start accepting that as reality, then we're all screwed.
On my first watch, I didn't think much of it, I was just wondering how injured he really was, and there wasn't…
The fact that when he gets busted by her dad, his attitude is just like "Yeah, AND." Damn he's so fine.
Xie Wei: "Ning'er is mine." Ning'er AND her dad: "No she's not." Xie Wei: "YES SHE IS."
Imagine liking a girl, and everyone on the planet INCLUDING THE GIRL is like "No." And you're like "Whtvs idgaf." And just take her anyway.... WITH her consent.
real talk tho if FL is sane and wants to marry someone the correct order should be Zhang Zhe>Yan Lin>Villager…
> the correct order should be Zhang Zhe>Yan Lin>Villager A>Xie Wei
dude.... so much lol.... a villager > XW
He's cranky, petty, jealous, deranged (only when it snows tho), scheming, stabby, strangly, manipulative, trips his own child for his amusement, and values his qin more than most people's lives.
I'd have a lotttt of trouble picking between Yan Lin and Xie Wei, but in the end I'd pick Xie Wei because he's…
mmmm, I see where you're going with that, and you have a point. I'll look at it differently on the 4th watch because you are also right. When a man has all those walls up.... when the walls come down, it's like Three Gorges dam breaking apart. All that pent up... whatever.
Hmmm.....
edit - snowstorm of love, haven't seen it yet, I was told it's all sweet and no spice or fire. And I'm not a fan of the ML when I saw him in The Long Ballad. He looks like a bird... an eagle or a falcon or a hawk, some angry kind of bird, with that stare and his thin lips. It probably wasn't even his fault that I didn't like him in that, Dilraba doesn't have any chemistry with anyone. She could make Xie Wei look like a ham sandwich. So I'd give him another try in something else. But I just can't hack romances with no real passion/fire/spice/kilig in them, so I wasn't sure if it was worth checking out or what.
real talk tho if FL is sane and wants to marry someone the correct order should be Zhang Zhe>Yan Lin>Villager…
I'd have a lotttt of trouble picking between Yan Lin and Xie Wei, but in the end I'd pick Xie Wei because he's more assertive/dominant/controlling. It'd be a hard choice though. But I'd NEVER pick Zhang Zhe in a million years. He's so damn boring and proper, and his EQ is lower than the other two. Ughhh if I had to marry him, I'd probably run away from home. And go straight to Xie Wei's house.
"Doesn't need or want your permission to dock" lolllll! That's why I'd let him dock, wooo baby he's so fire.
I don't like gentle, I like feisty. I had 2 LTR's with "nice" guys who deferred to me in everything important, and were very gentle. Lemme tell you, it doesn't take long to become exhausted having to be the one who makes all the decisions and get everything done and tell the family what to do and be the final say. And it's not sexy! When youre the female wearing the pants in the family, it sucks the romance right out of the relationship, fast.
Then I met a feisty "red flag" and we were together for 12 years and it was the funnest most awesome 12 years of my love life. We were gaga for eachother like high school kids til the end, it never got old. He had no problem taking control of decisions and situations and deciding what we were going to do, and it was sooooo relaxing after the last 2 relationships I was in. Felt like being on a luxury cruise. Finally I didn't have to be the spine of the family. And our love life was HOT, wayyy hotter than with the other guys who were so gentle. Forced kisses are horrible if you're not into the guy. But if the guy lights you on fire, then forced kisses can be extremely fiery and fun. Me and my man used to take turns chasing eachother and attacking eachother, while the other would play hard to get. God, it was such a hot relationship!
If you're with someone like that, but you don't share values or morals, then I could see that being a scary or frustrating thing. But if you DO share values and morals with him, then having someone who's more controlling is like being pampered and cherished. But trust is everything when it comes to having a relationship with a guy like that.
Zhang Zhe, just thinking about a relationship like that makes me tired.
honestly, that dying act at the last episode to ''trick'' her to marry him is foul. it left a bad taste in my…
On my first watch, I didn't think much of it, I was just wondering how injured he really was, and there wasn't much time to think about it because then comes epic kiss time. On my rewatches, I thought it was funny. This guy acts so serious and is scheming to take the throne for the Yans and trying to survive all these plottings and attacks, hide his snow dementia from everyone, and fight an addiction to painkillers.... but yet he still has time and energy left to do things like snatch walnut cake from her friend, get petty with Yan Lin at a barbecue, piss off Ning'ers dad, pretend to teach her qin every day even though she's hopeless, stab himself to win an argument.... and fake being mortally wounded after a massive swordfight to get his way on getting married.
But think about it this way.... Ning'er is stubborn and not always very practical. She gets in a sexual relationship with Xie Wei, and then immediately afterward says she doesn't know if she wants to be married yet. Well, in that day and age, females can't just do stuff like that, their reputation is everything. Xie Wei was probably shitting bricks that she'd be so much of a dingbat that she is actually thinking about NOT marrying the guy she just slept with. If anyone caught wind of that, they could both end up in trouble.
He's just willing to go to that kind of length in their battle of wills because he's trying to protect her from herself. Again. And he knows how stubborn she is.

Evil trolling is still freedom of speech.
Whether it's allowed on MDL is another story.
