I'm watching it now, and I think she's annoying, it's making it hard for me to watch. But for me, I'm annoyed…
Having a hard time with the fact that you can't control other people's opinions or free speech?
You live in a f*cking fantasy land if you think that actors don't get paid based on their looks. The point is that they look good to the viewer. This viewer does not think that that FL is pleasant to look at. She has self-esteem issues. She chopped up her nose and most likely has an eating disorder. She's an actress, can you blame her? Korea treats it's actors like shit, and expects you not to notice their inhumane treatment. Seeing an unhealthy actor and pretending everything's fine is like clapping like a mouth breather at a mangy underweight bear in a top hat riding a bicycle in a two-bit circus.
Who directed her that that face or that accent was okay, and didn't train her accent out of her like other actors and tv people have to do all over the world.
Who am I to judge people like that? THE AUDIENCE. So step off, tone police.
I can't believe I'd have to point out something so obvious, but if you don't want to be judged based on your looks, then don't be an actor. Next time you want to comment something so condescending to someone you don't know, try using your brain at full capacity first.
It definitely had some *fans self* moments. idk, it just kind of felt like cheap gratuitous thrills to me somehow. Even that Japanese one about the yakuza ML where he wears that horrible head bandage in that makeout scene.... even that drama was less gratuitous than forbidden flower, imo. It had actual creative content.
ohhh I knew she looked familiar! I was a little disappointed with forbidden flower because there wasn't much meat on the storyline. It was all right though.
I thought Hobo God was the most difficult part to watch. With the teeth. Why would I want to stare at that, it's…
You took one look at Wallace Chung's hair and noped out, I am laughing so hard right now. You missed some killer fashion in that one wowww. Not only that. Yknow all that pretty hair she has in the poster art and ep 1? Yeahhhh.... they cut it ALLLL off. And then she goes "It's pretty ugly right" and everyone agrees its terrible. Totally mind boggling, it's like they put her through some kind of ritual humiliation ceremony with that show.
There's this scene, she's wearing a tee shirt made to look like a cartoon dog. The poofy brown sleevelets are supposed to be the dog's ears. And the dog's eyes are DIRECTLY over her ta-ta's. It is AWFUL. Then, they go to get their official wedding photo taken. Does she change shirts? Hell no she doesn't.
The fun doesn't stop there, because she actually wears ANOTHER shirt with googly eyes on the ta-tas, this shirt is supposed to be some kind of cartoon monster.
This is all combined with Wallace Chung's used-car-salesman-slash-cocaine-dealer haircut.
Everybody who watched this and loved it: AlilaNguyen said something so awesome way farther down in the thread…
Take a moment to appreciate that at the end, they're basically making out amid a pile of dead bodies... with all those people standing there staring at them...
Everybody who watched this and loved it: AlilaNguyen said something so awesome way farther down in the thread and I want to just bring it up again for all of you who missed it:
(AYO! If you haven't seen this all the way to the very end at least once do NOTTTTT click this spoiler, you will effing RUIN it for yourself big time, please don't do it to yourself it would be a travesty. You can click it after you finish!)

You should have seen my expression when FL put him in a silk scarf and a brooch - WITH shoulder pads, mind you - and was like "yay perfect".
omFFFFg. ARE you kidding me. Are you effing effing kidding me rn. My brain shorted out it was so awful.
But seriously tho it was just a parade of hideous clothes, one horrible outfit after the other.... I haven't seen anything on that level of embarrassingly tasteless since My Sunshine.
It's truly sad we can't find a good quality version of this sadly because it's from 2002.. Same with Ice world…
I've been saving Mars for a rainy day because I know I will love it.... and it's good to know you know where to get a better quality stream than the one I checked out a while back. Sweet!
The other way around cuz j is better than k version. that's why keep it for the end as best should be consumed…
I watched K then J.
Mayyyybe if I had watched them in reverse, I would not have appreciated either of them as much? idk it's hard to say.
I slightly like the K version better for a few reasons. One.... they both have angst, but it's like two different flavors of angst. I'm having a hard time trying to describe what I mean, but the best I can do is.... if angst was cheese. J-version's angst is like bleu cheese. Sharp and in your face. K-version's angst is like chevre. Still kind of strong and pointed, but yet so smooth and addictive. Two.... I'm sorry but there's better spice levels in the K version by FAR. Seo In Guk is so dreamy and gorgeous and he's a good onscreen kisser. J-version left more of that side of things just implied, iirc.
But I do see why some people like the J-version better, it's really a tough call....
The lead actors acting cute was the most difficult part to watch . Specially that hubby!!!! .
I thought Hobo God was the most difficult part to watch. With the teeth. Why would I want to stare at that, it's disgusting. They could have dirtied her teeth a little less. Or in fact, just axed the character altogether really. All that cringe dialogue they gave her. It just proves out that this entire movie, about a catholic-style western demon (not an eastern demon), was written by someone with no knowledge of the subject matter.
No wait the most difficult part to watch was that cringe tango scene.
Or no, maybe it was Song Kang's wardrobe choices that was the hardest to watch....
So much cringe, hard to really say what was the worst thing about it.
to avid romance cdrama watchers, is this one of the best cdramas of its genre to you? please do recommend me some…
wow, I just looked over your watchlist, and our tastes definitely have a lot of overlap. To me the only big differences are that you liked weightlifting fairy and I hated it.... and I liked strong woman do bong soon and My Roommate is a Gumiho and you didnt.... and I liked That Winter the Wind Blows more than you did.... although let me guess, you couldn't stand the FL in that one? She was kinda weird. I liked it a lot anyway. I liked 5 ji kara 9 ji made and you were not impressed.
But other than that, theres plenty of stuff we rated either identical or almost identical. And we both thought I am Not A Robot suuuuuucked. I find a lot of watchlists that rated it decent or higher, and I just cannot understand what anyone saw in that god awful show.
So yeah, hopefully you have a fun watch with one of those reccs. <3
Also.... nice username ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ! Yeah I spose we have some stuff in common.
edit: o sweet jesus, I forgot a completely obvious choice - Till The End Of The Moon. Like it or hate it, you haven't lived till you've seen that one. It's EPIIIIIC. Like totally epic. And very DARK. Just fair warning.
You also might like Love Like The Galaxy. A lot of people who share my tastes in dramas love LLTG. I thought it was "pretty good", I think I gave it an 8.5 or an 8. But possibly worth checking out.
Anyways, I'm a hard grader like you, so my watchlist pretty much says it all about my tastes and my faves.
And this is how you give urself away, stacy. You get backed into a corner and then its the backtracking gibberish punctuated by emojis and then u like your own comments like 10 times to feel better about yourself. We all know its you.
Really? Come ON. No god of any religion i know of would say that.
