Wow, I am really surprised at how good this drama was. So much to like about it... ML/FL was spicy chemistry, the plot and the way the episodes were structured was never draggy and always satisfying and interesting. Ending was pretty well done. The comedy was actually funny, the suspense was suspenseful. The villains arent so repulsive that you can't look at them, they're just crazy. And I think a true highlight of this show was the quality of the side characters' performances. I am pretty picky about what I would rewatch, but I would rewatch this show just for the side-characters alone. I definitely would recommend this one.

This was trully something... hillarious. It is the only way you should look at it. As a comedy. To be honest I…
IKR, the name just adds another layer to the humor. I can't even say 'kakafukaka' anymore without laughing a little bit. It's so terrible, and so unique that at this point it's sort of a cult classic. Everybody should suffer though this drama at least once, imo.

This drama is one of my favorites of all time. ML is the apex of hot. FL is the epitome of cute. The story is full of kilig moments, and some of the scenes are so electric that they are forever seared into my brain. This is such a great drama for all the "Forbidden Love Story" enthusiasts.

It's classic no-frills Taiwanese drama, so you will not be getting sumptuous cinematography, flashy effects, or a polished feel. What you will be getting instead is a masterpiece of a script, delivered by actors with passion and style, and dialogue and on-set chemistry that is spicy as hell.

I think that was very eloquent. However it's not been proven definitively if it even was suicide or homicide. Your point is still a really good one though. I just wouldn't personally lay all the blame at the feet of crazed fans just YET until we know exactly what really happened. We all know it COULD be suicide, because of all the things you just mentioned. But in current year, there are other possibilities for why he died suddenly. Personally I'm refraining from jumping to any conclusions about it at all.

What sad news :(If he really did take his own life, I'm surprised it was reported as such, given that Korea doesn't…
You are right, when it's suicide they're reticent to come out and say it because it paints the people who have professional relationships with him, and the industry as a whole, in a bad light. So then the question is... what could be so much worse that they'd cover up the truth by floating the idea of suicide, with no definitive proof that's what it was?

Normally, if it was actually a suicide, there's no way on earth they'd actually admit that *before* there's any conclusive proof of it. Why were they so quick to jump to that conclusion this time? Maybe desperate to cover up something else, something worse?

This is a twisted show with a low budget, bad sets, an ML who can't act and a FL who can't stand up for herself. And yet, it's one of the finest pieces of entertainment i've ever seen. One of those extremely rare instances where as soon as I was finished with it, I had the sudden and intense urge to bang my head against a le cruset and get amnesia so I could watch it all over again.

This drama will always be in my top ten of all time.

I saw someone comment once that MinHo only has two facial expressions. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. He's like the Korean Keanu Reeves. His looks are mesmerising, but his acting... oh boy.

This drama was all right. If you like MinHo, you will like this drama. If you don't, then it might be tough to slog through. The ending wasn't fleshed out, but it did end everything neat and tidy. I thought the way the director handled his budget and ML crisis was imaginative and smart, and I'm very sorry to know that was his last work, because the artistry he gave the show on such an incredibly tight budget is rather impressive, imho.

FL was awesome, most of the tertiary characters were awesome, even the villains. Really well cast.
On The Love by Hypnotic Apr 17, 2023
Dear god, why did they pit the ML against a 2ML as hot as that.....
Anyways, the kiss scenes were okay. Definitely not bad. The chemistry was on-and-off, but it also wasn't bad. The humor was not laugh-out-loud humor but more cute or quaint humor. The FL was really awesome for a c-drama, and the ML was passable. The plot was decent, and the dialogue was good but not spectacular. Backdrops and scene settings were nice, costumes were really great. No one character steals the show, so there's no hero or villain that eclipses the rest of the cast somehow, either by good or bad performances. The pacing seemed a bit unnecessarily slow, but since the scenes are beautiful and the actors are decent, that's not the worst thing ever.

All in all I thought it was an okay show to pass the time, but I wasn't glued to my screen or anything.

Just finished this drama, and I have a mixed reaction to it. There are good and bad aspects to it.

The good parts - ML is great, FL is not my favorite character, but the actress is very good at the role. Martial arts scenes are pretty good. Direction is a step up from the usual, especially toward the end. Side characters are pretty good. I also like that the villains are not repulsive looking or so incredibly bad that they eclipse everything else about the show. Some parts of the plot are very imaginative. The romance develops very slowly and naturally, which I liked.

The bad parts - Long wandering story that's not very riveting, so it took me a long time to finish. Too mny characters are killed off by the end. Drawn out scenes and storylines that create a lot of "skip ahead" moments, especially leading up to the end. Romantic moments were too sparse and don't really grab you. Cheap set design creates a boring kind of atmosphere that made it harder to get engrossed in the drama. And the ending was unsatisfying imo. If I had known those last 2 episodes would be the payoff for watching, I might very well have skipped this drama.

1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
I. No
2. It's kind of a gradual process, this story is less about "when do they hook up" and more about "love against all odds". They get together several times over before the story plays out, and each time there are lots of satisfying romantic scenes and they fall more deeply in love. I think they spend more time together than apart in this drama overall, but they face obstacles.
3. Twice they are separated from eachother. The first time, they are just barely aware they are in love, and the separation only lasts like 2-3 episodes. The second time they are separated, it's more serious, but it fits with the flow of the story, and you don't get as frustrated with it. Basically FL has been a big pain in the ass bitch to the ML, totally without realizing it and he has hurt a lot because of her, and she plays this naive character. She has an illumination and suddenly realizes all the shit he went through for her, but by then he's left her. So she has to go hunt him down and grovel. But while she's grovelling, you as the audience are feeling like that's a very satisfying thing to see, it brings their relationship into a fuller more real version of what it should be. She feels the guilt and contrition she was supposed to feel through like 30 episodes but never did. And from that point on, the new relationship they start is the one that you want to see and it seems so much more genuine. So it's a good breakup that greatly enhances the storyline.
4. Yes, a very nice one.

I thought this drama started off slow, with a rather annoying FL and a limp rag of a ML. But I stuck with it, and by about the halfway mark, the FL kind of hits her stride and isn't so annoying anymore, and the ML is rather attractive and charismatic. Side characters are all great. Story is a little slow to progress, but not too bad, and the martial arts scenes are very well done imo. In typical wuxia fashion, this drama isn't really very spicy. But it is heartwarming, and there is lots of excitement throughout, and the kiss scenes even though they aren't the spiciest, are still very nicely done... no deer in the headlights.

The absolutely best part to me about this drama, is that the ending is worth the time investment. One of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen in an asian drama. A good well-rounded show, very awesome.

No i don't, and I think that would be wrong too.

First you say youre justified because what he did is illegal. I point out other things that are also illegal, and NOW you're making distinctions between what LEVEL of illegal deserves your condemnation. Which kind of proves my point, that youre just being judgemental.

Lady of the Moon: "how so?" try harder

Me: I'm serious, I'd like to know where you see any kind of looping in what I'm saying. If you can't even articulate your assertion properly, then how does that invite any kind of rational and earnest discussion about it? I'd like to 'try harder', but so far I have not developed ESP to read your mind and understand the logic behind your comment. If you want to be understood then you have to be able to explain yourself with words.

Lady of the Moon: blocked me from responding

Lady of the Moon initiated discussion with me, and asked me to amuse her by responding to her points, so I obliged her, and then she blocked me for it. Okay then...

>people only become addicted to drugs if they are coward enough to choose the easiest path. Are you naive enough…
well theres the false dichotomy you've set up with framing your argument as though one must choose compassion for an addict, and compassion for those they affect as though one must choose only one or the other.

>cowardly attitude...

OP is saying they wont listen to or engage with opposing viewpoints, but I'm the coward for engaging in conversation?

>but go ahead, amuse me...

that seems like an arrogant thing to say

>it's always funny when someone tries to justify something bad

show me where I said Yoo Ah In is justified. The point i'm making is about how lack of compassion for someone's weaknesses just because they aren't weaknesses you can identify with personally is distasteful imo.

>have the guts of playing the victim to pretend they are right.

show me where I claimed that I am a victim

>yeah, of course there should not be any sense of right and wrong in society.

...when youre doing that very thing by implying that it's wrong to have compassion for addicts...

>compassion i feel for the victims of tons of junkies around the world who go around killing for drugs,

this is a strawman argument. Show me where I said this. Did Yoo Ah In kill someone and I just wasn't aware? So now you are conflating addiction with murder. Wow.

>great job by distorting what the op said

how is what you just did any different?

adding: funnily enough Lady of the Moon, you called me a coward, invited me into a discussion with you, and then blocked me, which prevents me from viewing your responses or replying to them. Who is really being cowardly here?

>people only become addicted to drugs if they are coward enough to choose the easiest path.

Are you naive enough to think that the medical profession doesn't create addicts? Wow. Nice victim-blaming. You think because you had a personal experience with an addict that qualifies you to judge all addiction victims, and that anyone who feels sorry for him must not have any personal experience with addiction. That comes off as obtuse and sanctimonious.

I suppose you don't have any personal faults or challenges that other people have learned to overcome but you haven't yet? If you have any personal challenges that you haven't overcome yet, does that make you a coward? Or is it only people who's personal challenge is chemical dependence that you judge with this lack of compassion.

What you're saying is basically that since you know one addict personally, that gives you the moral right to judge all addicts with the same blanket judgement. Youre conflating compassion for those with addiction, with romanticism over the issue. Compassion for an addiction victim is hardly romanticizing drugs.

You said it all when you said you "won't waste even a sec reading your tantrums", painting anyone who attempts to provide a counterpoint to your opinions as "having a tantrum". You have zero tolerance for people who have differing opinions from yours, and you are being unreasonable to the point of expecting others to read your opinion, while you won't read theirs. That's quite an ignorant stance to take.
