liked the older generation backstory episodes a lot more than the younger ones.
The senior actors, all of them, nailed their roles. the 2 senior ML's are phenomenal. when you watch all these episodes, you understand them and why they are like that. The subtle hints of Doo Shik liking both the FL and his new monster friend is because they are kind people is a great insight into the kind of person he is. The monster is shown to be utterly dedicated to ones he thinks are his people. From his old boss to the girl he likes to his new bestie to his daughter, he is all in. Not an easy role to pull off but the senior actor does a great job.
This probably is one drama where my complain is the other way, the older FL's don't have same peak emotional ark's that the 2 ML's go through. It's a minor one though, there are lot of episodes for them to have them.
The ML's usually are full on make up and lip stick etc etc. in this one, it looks like they took a shower and wore normal clothes. Even the women are not as flashy as other dramas. the minimal make up is a great choice to go along with the tone of the drama.

ML is a newbie in the company and yet the shit he gets away with.... 2ML is supposed to be this great hotshot but everyone practically walks all over him, the ML, his dad and his GF. the guy has no spine.

it's not the love triangle that gets me but the lack of females in ML life. There is no genuine love/friendship/camaraderie that ML would share with another female than the FL.
and let's not start on how not a single ML in Kdramas show any kind of attraction towards females....
Also, ML does not seem to show any interest in women or even men at this point. So, ML's orientation is very difficult to ascertain. May be he is on puberty blockers...who knows what's happening with Kdrama ML's anyway!
