Of course it is wrong. I can name a dozen Cdramsa and Kdramas in last 6 months where the FL physically abuses ML.
Point being, this is pretty much the norm in Kdramas and Cdramas.
I have made numerous posts on how this violence by FL on ML is perverse, especially as these dramas make light of that said violence.
Take out those scenes of thrashing and you have a very nice story. But for some reason the writers of these dramas pretty much have these kinds of physical assaults. when nothing makes logical sense, the only reason is always the simplest one. The viewers like these scenes where the ML in spite of getting thrashed by the FL still loves her - thats probably what the writers want to convey.
The reverse though never happens, There is not a single drama where the ML thrashing the crap out of FL and the FL keeps loving him.
So, catharsis is the only word that comes to my mind, we don't have to like it but thats what makes most sense.

Every Cdrama ML is a simp. There are numerous Cdramas where the ML simping was outright cringe. You had to be on drugs to watch that kind of simping with straight face. These ML's practically are spineless and crawl at the feet of FL, often times licking the feet.
Looks like that's the preferred ML's by viewers in Cdramas. Simpy, spineless, very pure and very virgin. Until they meet the FL, the only thing their pecker was used for was urinating and shaken only once after it.

There are half a dozen Kdramas released in last few months where a cheating male character was physically thrashed, verbally abused and publicly humiliated, all at the same time in some cases. There are ZERO kdramas where something like this happened to a cheating female character.
I can imagine the trashy SML going after the garbage but the ML is a nice guy. The writers never convinced me why a normal guy like that would fall for such garbage.
If the writers intent was to have the FL have sexual interactions with multiple guys, you succeeded but it just turned the FL into garbage.
