Title Strangers Again Spoiler
I am happy he did not cheat. She is bothered because she still loves him. Is this really so hard to guess?
She did have bit of fun with him before telling him that she still has feelings for her ex.
The one with conflicting romance in these dramas is always the FL. The ML is pretty steadfast and never wavers or has fun with other women, while being in love with FL.
Just asking, do you think ML shagged anyone after his divorce? He wouldn't have because he still loves the FL and even though they are divorced and he knows he has no chance, he would never move on or waver because.....?

I thought this drama would break that mold of pure ML but this guy is genuinely pure and horribly pathetic.

For 35 episodes FL had been having her own interactions with her own ex, which the ML did not like.strange how…
Spot on,

FL never makes any effort to stay away from her ex, who had made his intentions very clear from ep1.

in fact it's the opposite, she would find ways to go beyond and have abnormal interactions with him.
I bring up with the wrestling because it was an abnormal interaction, not needed, especially when you are shown to be a married women and the ex is a red flag. it basically is a reflection on how FL never made any effort to put distance with her ex, weird considering she did so for years until he came back into her life.

These abnormal interactions between FL and he ex continue for 35 episodes with FL making absolutely zero efforts to minimize her interactions with him.

In Korean and Cdramas where there is romance in the dramas, I find ML's boring and fake.

In this one, it's not about him cooking or doing house work or things he does. There are many men who do this. This is usual house work that most modern men do as part of sharing work.

when I say these ML's are fake, I am talking about them as person than what they do.
Unlike the FL who gets her thoughts revealed to us almost all the time, throughout the drama, we almost never get to see what is going in ML's mind.
Add to that all these ML's have no qualities that you generally associate with men.

I do acknowledge the realism vs fantasy but it's hard to accept it when FL is shown realistic but the ML is straight out of some fantasy. Drama characterization needs to be consistent.

These ML's are fake because men like them don't exist, have never existed ever. May be these dramas should start adding ML's thoughts into the dramas just like how FL's thoughts are always added so that viewers can relate to what ML is feeling.

In these dramas once you go past what they do and come down to who they are, all these ML's feel the same. Cold, elusive, mysterious and artificial.

She is shagging another man but loves the ML?
Wonder how these kinds of situations are unique to only FL in these dramas but the ML never has his tongue down another women's throat but secretly loves the FL.

That's why i wanted the ML to actually have cheated and find redemption...instead we get the usual pure ML BS in another Kdrama.
The ML is pathetic and that's what makes the FL so unlikable at this point.

Dropping it.

I would have loved to see the ML having actually cheated and going through his redemption ark.
Now because he did not cheat, FL starts looking awful.
And I am not sure why she was bothered by her ex meeting any woman in ep3! she is anyway enjoying herself with another man.

Actually I like the FL. she feels like a real person.

Don't like the ML, he comes across as fake.
In fact, most Cdramas I don't like the ML's.

While I do complain about the FL, it is more keeping in view the world the writers have built. FL in Cdramas and Kdramas have a lot going on in their characterization. So much so that we can discuss and have fun.

The ML's are fake and bland in most dramas, especially one with romance as central theme. There really is not much to discuss about them. Just shows how poorly they are written.

We can go around in circles and won't reach consensuses & that probably is the point I am making.

Most viewers are willing to make any number of excuses for everything FL did with her ex, during the time she was married with ML
but the same viewers won't accept that ML can have decent interactions with other women.

Unlike FL who rolled around with her ex, we don't see ML rolling around with his ex.
Unlike FL who gets repeatedly grabbed by her ex and still goes to him willingly, you don't ML and his ex grabbing each other and doing stuff.

from my POV, the FL at best is pretty stupid, at worst she did not care about the person who she was married to when she was engaging her ex repeatedly.
Either way, she was a walking red flag and any person with kind of attitude in a relationship towards their partner, needs a reality check of how it feels when the person they love is making them uncomfortable in their interactions with opposite sex.

Most Cdramas don't even address this issue and tend to give the FL a wide pass when they keep having dodgy interactions with men.
This drama at least is self conscious of what happened and how pathetic ML would look if he kept sticking to a woman who is not aware of her husband felt.

For 35 episodes FL had been having her own interactions with her own ex, which the ML did not like.strange how…
Let me know how the FL wresting with her ex when she was supposed to be married to another guy helped the plot in anyway?

Or why she needed to take care of her drunken ex?
Or her repeated 'normal' interactions with her ex when it was as plain as day light that he was a walking red flag right from the moment he dragged into mens toilet. That ex made it plain clear to her that he wanted her back & yet the FL was so pure and innocent to have all those interactions with him - give it a break. no one is that stupid or innocent.

For all the things FL did, there is always a justification even when it makes no sense for why FL would need to do something specific but when it comes ML, even if he is talking to another woman, that's not allowed.

She did not keep her boundaries with her ex when she was supposed to be married to ML and even in love with him
but somehow ML needs to cater to her feelings even after they ended their relationship.

I guess FL did not for moment think how her own husband would be feeling when he sees her interacting with her ex...but she somehow was sad when she sees ML interacting with his ex.
Sorry but was her brain on vacation when she was having her own interactions with her own ex?
It's not just one or two but each episode you can clearly see abnormal interactions between FL and her ex.

Similar excuses can be given for ML,
they were divorced and he had every right to interact with which ever woman he wanted.

And for 35 episodes, what FL had with her ex was a regular relationship one has with their colleagues.
there are at least a dozen things one can immediately point out the FL did that are not normal at all.
For starters, she wrestles with him. Yeah, the argument seems to be it's only wrestling. Point being, it's not. She was wrestling with her ex when she was supposed to be married with someone else.
For ending, she is taking care of her drunk ex when she is married to another guy and was supposedly in love with him. normal? heck no.
In between, the red flags are dime a dozen.

I think people who are fine with the ending because they had a fake marriage and needed to sort it out, forget…
For 35 episodes FL had been having her own interactions with her own ex, which the ML did not like.
strange how those 35 episodes are not bothersome but only when the ML interacts with his own ex does it become bothersome.

I like this showbutthis is basically another typical Kdrama.it's only the FL with this maturity of talking about…
exactly,
and
that's why I find it funny when people say a particular kdrama or Cdrama is MATURE or REALISTIC..

no, they are not. Not even a single one of them is mature or realistic.
For starters the ML's in these dramas are the fakest men in existence.

These are just dramas written for consumption of particular segment who want to see men in a very specific way that suits their fantasies.

It's a bit surprising that the answer to sexism from men is sexism from women!
And it looks to be typical asian drama trope,
even violence, the sheer amount of dramas that has FL thrashing ML. Again, the answer to violence against women in these dramas seems to be violence against men.

if the solution of these social issues as shown in these dramas is to make women behave like men from middle ages, then god help society.
These dramas on one hand preach equality but in reality all they project is equity.

Utopia for targeted audience? Yes
mature and realistic? Laughably no.

So happy to watch a more mature k-drama and, hopefully, lose the “circling” I find with the 16 episode format.…
I like this show
but
this is basically another typical Kdrama.

it's only the FL with this maturity of talking about sex, commenting on men's anatomy and interactions with other men.
the ML, like most other Kdramas and Cdramas is straight out of a monastery, does not talk about sex, never looks at any women objectifying them like most FL's do men and will not have any interactions with other women like the FL has with other men.

Just 2 look at first 2 episodes, how many times do the FL and her bestie talk about sex & discuss men vis a vis shagging them?
And
how many times does the ML does the same?

This is not just this drama, it's pretty much most Kdramas and Cdramas. the ML will almost never have this kind of storylines written for them, only the FL does.

Should have like this drama, usually I crave these dramas.
Some how it got boring and boring.
ML had one expression through out the drama & the FL was acting like a teenage girl.

the priest 2ML was the only interesting character.

The drama is pretty good.

but why do the writers have to make FL character into a whiny stupid teenager?

She gets attacked repeatedly, almost losing her life multiple times and what does the FL do.
Get drunk out of her senses and act whiny as if she just hit puberty.
And episode 1 wants us to believe that she is next in life for one of the top companies in Korea.

Even god cannot save Korean FL's from these stupid writers.

Actually I would consider the best or perfect partner is not always the same for everyone. For example for fl…
no disagreement on idea of perfect partner being different to everyone.

but, just want to know if we can really name a single successful woman who married a regular looking nice guy who is a stay at home husband?
Pretty sure there must be at least one case we can point to as an example amongst Chinese and Korean actresses where they married a regular Joe who just cooked, cleaned and massaged her?

coming to the drama, my point was the theme was confusing.
What the drama wanted to show was stereotypical roles for women as negative are pretty much shown as the positives when it came to ML.
The whole premise that FL fell for ML because of those reasons is wrong. She had a serious relationship with 2ML for many years whom she loved.

Her fear of commitment is a different theme altogether, again, it was confusing.
She had no right to demand someone to be around her when she would not commit. The drama does not expand on this especially considering she was ready to marry her ex.

And the last theme that was funny was how for 35 episodes she kept having her own interactions with 2ML while the ML just looked on haplessly and started wailing when ML was seen with another girl.

On She and Her Perfect Husband Jan 9, 2023
The underlying themes of the drama were confusing.

The challenges women face at workplace & Gender roles in modern society are absolutely nice and necessary themes to address
but the drama addresses them confusingly and often horrendously.

through the FL, the drama challenges the existing norms
but
then turns around and through the ML, tells us that the best man is one who can cook, clean, give massage, run to their wife whenever she needed help etc etc. basically the best man is one who is willing to take on the so called traditional women's responsibilities.

The worst aspect of this theme probably showing that FL best attributes are what we consider worst attributes in a man.
As example, the ML in the whole was earning money, doing house chores, taking care of her, helping her career repeatedly, spending his time giving attention to the FL...While the FL contribution to the ML during the same period is almost negligible.
If you flipped the roles of ML and FL in this drama, we would be calling ML undeserving the FL who was constantly helping and looking after the ML, while he cared for his career more than the FL.

Title The Fabulous
I get that, but if you introduce the main protagonist of a story doing something imorall and getting no consequence,…
I see this shit in Kdramas now a days.

Romance in Kdramas used to be charming.
recently, you can clearly see western money influencing the storylines.

Lol @ open and committed relationship.
Just another term used to fk around and have no consequences. Giving it a name as 'open relationship' just makes it sound cool as opposed to 'trash cheating to fk around'.

The ML's in kdramas are becoming simpy and just plain ugly.
You rarely see a man as ML in Kdramas that has romance as main arc. They are just pathetic wimps masquerading as men.

The more i see Seo Yul, the more i realize how spineless he is. He is such a coward who wanted to kill a girl…
Seo Yul was never her friend in the drama,
He is the guy who is in love with her all through the drama.

have no idea why what 2ML have for FL in these dramas is called as friendship..

men and women who are friends never ever have the dynamic as shown through FL and 2ML.
