i used to like these dramas a lot couple of years back, even the romance felt fresh and new.

now, the romance in these dramas is predictable and revolting.

The ML was written very good, filial to a fault, loved his family as expected, except when it came to FL and his love, then he became sus.
Sorry but the way writers made the ML put up with her rants for a while episode over another man was garbage. No man/woman in real life would entertain that. Imagine if it was Ml abusing the FL over another woman for a while episode, there would be riots.

Oh and the episode towards the end where the writer for the whole episode made married FL and the 2ML rollover each other in hay was also fan service,

romance was the usual Cdrama crap, too many men around the FL and the ML is a young master who never looked at another woman.

I rated it 7.5, if there was zero romance, i would have rated it a 9.

What is relevant is that the writers ensuring that the ML is written in this specific way. The writers can chose to make the ML date and have sexual feelings for multiple women, like they show with FL's but chose not to.

Even in My demon, who is the other girl in ML's life? There is none, unless we count the girl who has a crush on ML and the ML does not let her 100 yards near him.
On other hand, the 2ML is everywhere in FL's life. In her bed room, in her office, in her car. Only place he is not in is the toilet.

Imagine the logic behind a 25 year old girl having dated and having close male friends who freely enter her bedroom, while a 200 year old man is shown to have never eyed any woman or developed any close friendship with any woman.

I agree that few years back it was not like this. Kdrama romances got really bad in last couple of years.

101 rule of Kdrama - No trauma and nothing will affact FL sexuality and her dating history. Even farting near the ML will send him into a trauma that will always affect his sexuality directly resulting in him unable to date any woman.

MyDemon: FL sexual attraction to ML was shown explicitly, she literally has a monologue detailing her sexual attraction & her dating other guys implied, in first 15 mins of the first episode. The ML is a 200+ year old COLD DEMON with no dating history and absolutely zero sexual attraction, until he 'falls in love'. Also, FL is surrounded by multiple men.

ADTBAD: The FL has multiple relationships, shown physically attracted to multiple guys. ML, is a COLD MAN who shows zero sexual attraction to any other girl in his life, no dating history. FL is his first and last

TSOPM: FL loves her husband but refuse to be a doormat. She puts her foot down when ML tries to take advantage. ML again is a COLD CEO with zero sexual attraction to any other woman

ML was interested but never shows any sort of sexual attraction to the girl, chek the drama again, the writers never show ML showing any sort of sexual attraction for other girl. FL comes in variety. Some have multiple relationships, some show attraction to multiple men, some have only ML and always surrounded by multiple hot men.
ML is a COLD ceo/demon/man who has only dated/loved FL. Never shows any physical attraction to any other woman. Does not even have a female dog in his life.
in all 6 dramas, we get different kinds of FL...with varying dating, attraction history with men.
The ML....only ever loved FL and only relationship with FL. And strangely not one of these dramas show any sexual attraction from ML towards any woman.
For anyone who has ever known man, you would know how fake and weird seeing men after men in these dramas showing zero sexual interest in women,

If you still don't see a pattern here, why not analyze dramas in last 1 year.

As example, in 'behind your touch' & 'Destined with you', the FL's practically have orgasms when look at the 2ML. You must have definitely watched those dramas and know exactly what I am describing. Now show a drama where a ML is shown having similar reaction seeing a woman other than FL?

They just finished and the ML's in those dramas are door mats as well.
In one, the FL abuses ML for a whole episode about her male friend. The drama also spends a whole episode where the FL and her male friend are shown rolling around.
In another, the ML is so pathetic that for 10 episodes he is saying sorry to FL for god knows what..

These romance genre has gone to dogs, literally.
They should just announce it as porn for women and stop this facade.

If one can't point to a drama where on screen we see ML sexually attracted to a single woman, then I don't need to tell anyone what's wrong with that kind of a man.

Kdramas want their ML to have eyes only for the ML, never waver.
They also want the ML to do the chasing.

Read the comments below, some even said ML dating multiple women would make him a manwhore and they won't watch dramas with such ML. No such language or restrictions on FL.

The writers of these dramas go to any lengths to keep ML pure and only having eyes for FL.

btw, if ML was the one who dumped her, why is he not dating anyone? Or even have a woman on his radar?
And if he dumped her, why is he chasing her now? Has anything changed except for the fact she came back NOT for ML but for her her situation?

Every reason will be made to justify why the ML is written so pure by the writers.
Point is, ML's purity is the most important aspect. To achieve that anything and everything will be justified. Viewers know it's shit but it makes one feel better to see a ML so in love and dedicated.

It's pretty much, look at the ML, how much in love with FL he is, how dedicated he is, how much he is suffering in love for FL, he does not ever even eye another woman....And see how cool the FL is, she barely loves him, dates other men or has other men in her life,her job and career is priority, her family and friends are priority, unlike ML whose single priority ever will be FL....that's exactly what's expected and that's what the writers delivered.

I wish we had more dramas where both the leads act their age and experience and that includes sexual.

Point was making ML as some one who has zero sexual interest. i.e, he does not react when he sees a nice looking girl.
In contrast, the FL's in most dramas are shown enjoying looking at hot men.

You don't need to show ML as experienced or even dating someone. On other hand you can have FL as experienced and having dated a lot.
But to remove the most basic quality of a man, i.e reacting to good looking girls - that is beyond acceptable.

I have challenged to show dramas where ML is shown to be physically attracted to women other than FL - very very few came back with 1-2 dramas in last 10 years.
On other hand, there are over a dozen dramas in last 3 months where the FL is shown to be extremely physically attracted to men other than ML.

This apart from everything else I pointed out is the problem.

The historical patriarchal set up exists, not in western world and not in most democracies but mostly in third world countries. And in most democracies, the system ensures balance with enough leg ups for women, legally.
Having said that, the answer to patriarchy is not misandry.
It's like saying some men have hit women so we are going to justify women hitting men. It sounds cheap....really really cheap.

People can be celibate, very true.
people typically includes both men and women, not just men.
And no one is talking about ML shagging women. ML can be celibate even if has a crush or finds a woman attractive. It does not take his virginity or virtue.

but when you replace men with a gender that never existed on earth, then that is an issue.

Imagine if Kdrama industry start making dramas where the FL is shown to have her first period after meeting and falling in love with ML, in each and every drama. That she hits puberty only and only for ML and no other man - and then you get people saying it does not need to real, so, having that kind of FL is possible and so on and on..
