Enjoyed the drama but found the arc villain took up too much oxygen especially in the last two episodes. His sob story did not resonate with me as plenty of people start of having a hard life and manage not to lose their moral compass. The main couple were very lovable but how Yuru managed to gestate and have that precocious little son within five years is a mystery to me but then she managed to pull so many things out of a hat throughout. Their friends were laudable characters but some of them ended up with sad and lonely lives.
General Qin put up a heroic fight. Jiusi and Yuru are heading for the capital to try and save the 'rebel'. Has the whole army really been annihilated? Lou Zi Shang should be drawn and quartered.
Any one else find Yuru and the courtasan/consort resemble one another? Only two episodes left and there is still so much to tie up in this drama. Will our heroic couple save the army in the south? Will the tin pot emperor survive his puppet master.
I need combat pay. Watching Anle flash her teeth at the Crown Prince for 4 episodes is no small feat. The drama is amusing even though there are serious undertones.
Keep your hair down, Crown Prince, it makes you more appealing. Now that I'm watching ep 2 I find the washed out costumes of the prince unflattering as well. I wish they would spice up his appearance a little.
Only on ep 14 and catching up with everyone. I rate each episode under 'Episode Guide' above and find there are really low scores for the upcoming ones. How come? That's probably why we're only seeing an 8.0 rating for the whole drama so far.
Only on ep 12 I don't get how Xue Lu gets away with cheating. wouldn't a Master be able to see through her subterfuge? Also, have trouble figuring out what the merman is doing there and where his story is going.
I wonder what is wrong with me that I just don't like TLP. I have tried and tried and ... nothing. I quit. I just…
You're not wrong, I've experienced this with many dramas that are lauded by fans and critics alike. Some things just don't jell or have annoying twists and unwatchable characters.
The dam is built. Now what? When are the evil doers, namely the Crown Prince and his tutor, the Dowager and her haughty daughter, going to get their just desserts?
The Fix is in. The Grand Perceptor is a sly piece of dreck. That beast with bad breath is intimidating but persuadable. Shi Ying is obviously liking the smell of Zhu Yan's hair. They are building a bridge together as they head into the future.
On ep 7 and I can see why he doesn't want the busibody bird to see him in the hot tub, that beigy crickled shirt is not very flattering - a bare chest, no matter how puny, would be much better. Why do the ML always have to make these ridiculous oath when we know they will have to break them to make the drama interesting? Big Bird is getting his rocks off, how fair is that?
This actor shows up in a zillion dramas in support roles and what I see him doing relentlessly is frown in various stages of intensity. I find it so amusing that I'm always on the lookout for his peculiar trope.
