Yanxi and Untamed!! They all have a very special place, and are one of a kind for their genres. I see you mentioned being up to ep 23. ENJOYY. This one is an emotional roller coaster til the end but worth it overall!
Because as viewers we can point out criticisms or elements of a show we may or may not enjoy? and can be helpful to save people time esp if they avoid those same elements
Started this two days ago. Love love love this drama!! Can't stop watching. Not many Chinese historical dramas…
Even though this drama is considered older now (came out 13 yrs ago? I swear it was only yesterday)..many newer Cdramas don't even hold a candle to this one & all the emotional spots it hits. This one is truly GOATed.
It's not necessary but I find it so refreshing that he's not like usual characters who, for their own motives,…
He reminds me of Xiao Dong from Prince of Lan Ling. Started off on the wrong side, but eventually is won over by the FL and even comes her biggest supporter bestie. That element of her being out of his league always adds an element of sadness even if they accepted being friendzoned and wholeheartedly just wants the best for the FL's happiness.
I personally feel that the episodes towards the end are becoming quite rushed in terms of plot. While they have…
I've been a Cdrama watcher for years even before the ban. Unfortunately dramas would drag on unnecessarily, even including product endorsements during air time (not commercials). Many shows wouldn't get to air; leading to many being shelved or made available for piracy. Networks resorted to bribery wars for a chance at broadcast. Officially, quality of the dramas is one of the key reasons for 40 episode ban. To improve on pacing issues namely. Dragging a show longer than it needs to, just to take up air time, was common. Oh the wonders it did to address these type of issues, let me tell you.
Many would rather watch multiple good quality dramas at 40 eps, than one or two dramas at 60 or even 90 eps of whole lotta nothing.
I suppose I've been around enough to see both eras. And I'm not excited about the removal of the ban, and seeing the return of draggy shows being the norm.
Sui Yuanqing was crafted in a lab specifically to appeal to me, I'm afraid... more than a little crazy, constantly…
I have so much appreciation for what the Sui Yanqing character brings also. He is offset by all these different sides to him..almost enough to balance out the unhinged batshit crazy. Not the same without him
…and of course for most of that last third you were watching substandard leaked episodes, bingeing through all…
As someone who is only watching on Netflix for proper subs to respectfully understand what is going on..I relate to the original comment. The drama went downhill ep 27 on.. The edits and all over the place storytelling simply didn't hold up to the strong first half. 9.2 feels like a stretch at this point. Will see how the rest goes, but placing the blame on viewers comprehension is really NOT it
