Ngl I can't even make it through the first episode 😭 It's just not holding my attention, which sucks because I really love angsty xianxias… Kinda bummed, not sure if I should keep trying or just drop it...
I really thought this drama would have a sad or open ending, so I'm pleasantly surprised it turned out to be a happy one. Now I can watch it in peace...
I honestly thought we wouldn’t get any kiss scenes. I was so disappointed, but I accepted it. I just hoped we’d get a good romance build-up and at least a few emotional or romantic moments. Then that dream kiss happened and I was so shocked! I truly didn’t expect it at all. But even then, I thought, “Okay, that’s probably the only kiss we’re getting.” So imagine my surprise when that scene happened! That wasn’t just a kiss, they were practically devouring each other! I expected nothing, and somehow it turned into everything.
I just watched the first episode and I love it! This is exactly the type of xianxia that I like, and I’m so glad I finally get to see it. I have no problems with the female lead, she looks cute and pretty, and her hairstyle is adorable. She’s like that for a reason, and I just know she’ll grow throughout the story. From the first trailer, it’s clear there will be a lot of angst and misunderstandings and I’m here for it! Recently, I haven’t been able to find a xianxia with the level of angst I want, so I really hope this one delivers!
I don't usually like mini C-dramas, but the dramas currently airing aren't interesting, so I started watching it and now I'm hooked. It's so good and enjoyable! I love enemies to lovers and forbidden love tropes, and this drama does them perfectly!
I thought this drama wouldn't see the light of day, but now it will definitely air somewhere this year. If it airs next week, I will be the happiest person ever!
I had some problems with the plot and didn’t enjoy episodes 21–25 that much, but the drama became really interesting again after that. Also, I think I would have loved this drama much more if they had included a more intense and passionate romance between ZHY and FYX. However, I was still happy with what we got because I had expected zero romance between them and a sad ending.
I’m going to ignore that last scene, which seems to be hinting at something, but since he is happy and alive there, I don’t care—it's a HE in my opinion.
