No one here can delete your review or comment besides the admin. It seems you owe the “fans of this drama”…
I know that only the admin can delete the comment which only means that the admin is a fan of the show and was bothered by my review.

Fans defending this drama with their whole soul calling every bad comment an anti makes me laugh because they will rather blame others than admit that the show isn't that good. I am a big fan of both actors but the scriptwriter let this drama down.

Anti armies do exist and they are mostly on Weibo. Chinese fans don't have access to kisskh so stop giving this show excuses calling everyone leaving negative review a hater. Like they are leaving bad reviews just in spite. They are just people sharing their personal opinion about something they were hoping will be good and it disappointed them.

I can't believe it got so crazy my review had to be deleted just to keep the fans happy who are so blinded by their love towards the actors, they won't dare to dislike any aspect of it. Develop some critical thinking, for your own good.

on ep 10 and i still don't get what everyone raved about :/ . atm i think it's very overrated. The plot is meandering,…
To clarify it for you. She doesn't go there to revenge. She goes there because she is a slave to Wufeng. The female lead is a depressed woman who lost everything she loves (her sister) and is seeking freedom by doing this mission hoping one day that she will be free. I think this was mentioned so many times and obvious in the story so I don't know it went past you.

She is supposed to be nonchalant, calm and peaceful not revenge driven female lead. She is supposed to look pure and kindhearted which is why she was least suspected to be a spy. Which is why she contrasts the second female lead well who has the guts to do what she cannot. If both were the same then it would not make sense for the female lead to end up with a kindhearted man such as Gong Zi Yu.
I really liked it because dramas are usually lead focused but I think it is amazing to see a whole cast to do good in a show and get justice. The second female lead did outshine the first but her character was written that way. I think the female lead did great and her acting was natural but her character didn't have much depth as others which is why she felt boring at times.

I don't want to start an argument. I can tell from your username that you're a fan of this and I respect that.…
That was an interesting take and I think I understand what you mean to say. I enjoy psychology myself but sadly, my English isn't that good to explain it in your words but I understand fully what you meant. I can see why you see the things the way you do.

Also we seek different things in shows, based on our understanding of things and experiences. To me this is the only show that made me watch it for months because I was so used to impure shows that this one made me realize that with people we love we need to be patient and kind. Also the show made sure to put focus on the hand holding, forehead kiss, talks about respecting each other which a lot of toxic drama nowadays don't have. I think that me liking it has a lot to do with how it made me feel. It brought me comfort and made me see the world and people in a better way. So my love towards it stems from something that can ignore things you can see better? I like the purity of it compared to the shows I watched because I want that in my own life?
I think that's my reason for liking it so much.

I also come from a relationship where my bf grew up without a mother and father but slowly started opening up and becoming warmer to me which might've also been an influence over why I strongly believed such a thing. But I do agree, love doesn't change people unless they want to change themselves but it's still a nice ideology. I am myself aware that such love doesn't exist why is why I love it even more? It is the purest thing I have seen but I also know it's something that's not achievable because no person can be this selfless but that's the charm of it. It's fictional.

With Orchid I agree. There are some points of her where I also don't agree with but can ignore because I feel like I also like the fact that she's flawed. I think that you can still dislike a part of the show and still love it at the same time, not everything can always be perfect. I also wished Orchid had more hatred for the fairy lord who was the real culprit and I wanted to see her stand up to him instead of shielding him for so long and she never gets a chance to face him. It is probably something that they should've added which would make her impact bigger instead of choosing the moon tribe just like that. It feels like the real enemy was never punished however at the end, they gather forces to fight an even bigger evil so I kind of understand why they made her never face him.
Some parts could be better executed but overall I cannot hate the whole show over some issues but I don't mind pointing them out.
It would be insane if we liked every second of everything without being able to critically think about it.

I do see your point and I can admit I don't disagree with any of it but I am just stating what makes me still love it. I can agree with you and still love it due to my own reasons.

Thank you for this insight tho. I value it.
No problem, I t hink the issue with people nowadays is that they take every opinion personally. I respect an opinion that doesn't insult anyone. I am fine when a piece if analyzed critically as long as it's not insulting the actors/actresses by using degradatory words. You opinion is supported by facts and what makes you not like it. You didn't just come, insulted everything and left so I appreciate it.

Thank you as well. I enjoyed thist alk too.

Don't worry I don't take this to heart and I think we all have our own opinion. I can see why you see Orchid that way, she has good character development but too late for your liking which I understand but a lot of people drop shows if characters turn cheesy and change early on and grow bored of it so I guess to each their own. I also had some moments where I wanted her to act differently but not to a large extent because she does some pretty big things later on. Also people tend to forget that she secretly held him in Arbiter Hall, she made him cookies and sent him home in a boat when she worried, she comforted him. I think many forget the parts at the start because of some scene where she might come off as annoying.

I disagree with you that love doesn't change people. As someone in a longtime relationship they focused on a really important thing during an episode where she wants to prove to his people that she deserves him and almost dies. She talks about how a couple needs to respect each others choices and each other. How they carry the burdens together. Love makes us grow because we learn about other people, we become more patient, we become more tolerant, we become more understanding. For side characters who never felt love because of their hard upbringing, love brought understanding that they can still find -true and honest people in the world. And love comes within ourselves. First we love ourselves, then we love others but what this show made important is that they dont' directly change each other but they influence each other by their own actions because we can only be in healthy love if we work on ourselves first and love ourselves first. I never said falling in love with someone is character development, it is not love itself that changes us because love isn't only our partner, we give love to our friends too in different form.

Character development in this show comes with all the hardships each of these characters go through but love plays the big part on how they approach those hardships.

I understand. I still respect your opinion because we all have our own experiences and preferences. I hope you can find a show to your liking!

The show was intended for second season which is why the pace is the way that is.
It is but why would they end it that way then?
It is too vague not to have a second season
Edren Sep 30, 2023
You probably dropped the story earlier because I noticed you didn't go the part of Orchids growth. The purpose of her being so childish is because she is sheltered and very young at the start. Later on towards the end her character comes back as a mature version of herself. She portrays everything perfectly from an innocent baby fairy to a mature woman.

You also said that she is flawed but not depicted as a problem. Later on, she understands her flaws and realizes all the things he did for her and she repays everything. She becomes more mature, helps him meet friends, helps him carry the burden of not having emotions, she heals his past with father, she also sacrifices herself for his and her own people. She matures into a wonderful human bearing all of his burdens so he can be happy at the end.

The story is good because it shows growth of two characters who are both extremely flawed but at the end as much, they growth together. Usually dramas don't do that. The charm of this drama is the fact that they are so flawed, just like real people but show drastic change.

He has to keep the promise to his people, overcome his pain of losing his father, trust his brother again and find people he can trust again.

On the other hand the female lead is supposed to grow, bear the burden of saving her own people from the war, provide support for the male lead during his hardest time and allows other people in the story to grow.

You have your preference and it is fine but I think this is a drama you really have to bear with until the end and understand what it is trying to portray.

The whole purpose of the show that people grow which is good that you hate them early on because they all grow at the end which meant to show that love is something that changes people for the better.

Most importantly there's no stupid evil female lead and women support each other and grow which I love.

Even supporting characters are more interesting and have more depth than ml character
Because he is just starting to go through trials and slowly growing. There's still more than half drama left to air so allow him to grow please.

It started off soooooo well and then became cheesy. Why!! I had hoped for the ML to be smarter and for the FL…
ML has grown in the shadows of his brother. It's only logical he's grown into a more sympathetic man then those around him. His character fits his upbringing. You cannot expect a strong ML if their past doesn't match their growth. Also his trial just started so you cannot expect growth in two episodes. I'm sorry but it is unrealistic.

Also, the show didn't fully air and we are watching the same show so I don't see the cheesiness you mention in all 9 episodes.

I'm guessing you are judging by last episode you saw?

You sure don't act your age if a polite comment on a show made you angry and drop the show fully. I'll leave it at that. Maturity really doesn't come with age sadly.

My comment wasn't in any way mocking you for not knowing mythology. I was explaining that if you maybe didn't understand her character, that is why. I am sorry you saw it as an attack.

I also do not understand why you thought you needed to comment when this comment wasn't targeted at you. You have shared your opinion about her in a respectful way saying "I’m not a fan of the actress’s acting, but I’m not here to judge or say negative things about her" and you weren't degrading at all which I respect so in all honesty,

I was only ever bothered with cfan using rude words towards the actress trashing her without even watching the whole show to witness her voice/acting change.

How am I being rude? I just told you to keep your opinion constructive meaning that you shouldn't use insulting words such as "awful acting" towards the actress and be constructive (polite) with your words.

I validated your opinion but only asked of you to be respectful about how you share your dislike. If I was being rude I'd call you an awful person like you insulted the actress.

No problem, you just proved me you didn't even fully watch it with that last answer especially if my comment made you not watch it at all. We don't need rude people in our fandom anyway.

Your opinion isn't a problem. It is your way of sharing your opinion.

It isn't so hard to be a good person and say " her acting isn't my cup of tea or I am not a fan of her acting so I dropped it" but calling it awful, that's the issue. You are using degrading and insulting words.

Please take time to learn about constructive criticism, it will help a lot in life.

Your opinions are related to your preferences because you guys put 0 thoughts into analyzing why is a fairy portrayed the way she is and that is okay, but keep your opinions civil and respectful.

I would recommend you guys to read a bit of mythology. Fairies are usually creatures with high pitched voice and quite playful.

Another reason for her voice being purposefully like that is because she's only a 1500 year old fairy who only ever lived with her Master and had no friends, hence her being so naive and spoiled.

I assume you guys didn't watch long enough but she is purposefully represented like that to show her growth. At the start of the show she has a cutesy voice. Then when they switch bodies, she acts with serious voice to represent dfqc and later on in the show she returns as Goddess of Xishan, a mature version of herself where she again uses a different voice.

She is not your "women being infantile in dramas". Her character isn't constant until the end of the show. She grows with her experiences. If she wasn't shown the way she was then you would not appreciate her growth into a mature woman. You dropped the show too early so please keep your opinion constructive and respectful without degrading words.
