I don't remember last time having such a big trouble to rate the drama. It is a slice-of-life drama that technically doesn't have a true ending. It just stops at some point giving you hints what will happen in the future. I had to read "the ending" discussion above and it gave me closure I needed.

I still think that telling the story not in the chorological order needs to be done well, and this drama is not example of that. It was forced only to confuse the viewer. The same with time jumps, those are usually easy to do, but if you don't give (for multiple episodes) even the idea how much time might have past (or I've missed it), it is very difficult to relate to what is going on as I didn't know was it months or years. Closer to the end we see it was actually 2-3 years, but this should have been explained sooner, lack of knowing that distracted me from enjoying the drama fully.

Ending was unexpected and I had to digest everything so I'm writing it couple of days after finishing the last episode. It reminded my "My Mister" but it wasn't as good. But at the end, if someone enjoys slice-of-life drama with no real ending, then it is for sure worth watching.

If someone expects a conclusion (like i.e. with My Mister), then they better don't touch it.

It was so good I've binged it in 2 days. It starts very innocent with FL being so positive, open and happy that by the time of the main twist i was caught completely off guard. It gets more depressing and more serious.

This is not an easy nor light drama by any means. It touches some serious and very sensitive problems and, as far as I can tell, does it in a very good way. I didn't like the main romance/triangle, it was unnecessary. Mentor relationship would work way better. I liked the second leads a lot, but the way their story ends was very unsatisfying. I mean, I choose to assume that she will be back to be a nurse (that was at least my impression), but I'm not a fan of such open endings for characters.

It is not for everyone, but if it clicks with you, then it is a gem. And the ending for FL is somehow realistic, which was a big plus (albeit I wonder what would be the reception if they would go full dark and depressing route :) ).

I didn't like the teaser, but this is my type of the movie and Kim Da Mi is in it, so it will be day 1 watch for me.

I don't mind what they did with the story but there was absolutely zero chemistry with Hua Rong Zhou. His character was pissing me off every time he was on the screen. As soon as they went with that trope, it was really hard for me to watch and I've FF all scenes with him.
But overall it is rather realistic approach. No do overs, you need to pay for your actions. I like they've done it this way.

It is been a while since I've been watching an ongoing drama and I'm not used to wait for next episodes. It is a good show for now. I like the setting. I like the chemistry. I like secondary characters. I'm only worried that we are half way into the show, and there is still a lot of things to unpack.

To people knowing the source material, do you suspect season 2 or they will manage to finish this in 36 episodes?

I'm on episode 6 and it is decent but if anything would prevent me to finish it would be a behavior of ML. He is so childish and annoying.

What I feel is WYF's mother genuinely don't care for her. If her mistakes were genuine mistakes, they deserve…
When you put it like that "she has no one" it makes more sense for me now :)

Note: My thoughts are my own, please don't try to convince me that "I'm wrong". The same as you are not wrong if you have a different view. We can all be right having different opinions :)

I've finished it couple of days ago. Overall it is a very good series but not without some big flaws. Some thoughts:
+ First half is great, when we don't really know what happened and why everyone behaves as they do. I didn't skip a minute from first 12 or so episodes.
+The flirting, the slow burn was unexpectedly fun to watch (I tend to be bored by it, but not this time)
+ Slow realization what had happened to FL. Suddenly I've started to think that she is in a great place (mentally) considering what had happened in her life.
+ And the ending (without spoilers), is a tearjerker, I really liked what they did
- grandpa subplot is boring as fuck, like I would suddenly watch a different series (at some point I've started to skip everything related to that, so I have no clue how it ended)
- second leads had such a good start, but then it all fell flat as it was unnecessarily tied with grandpa story

+/- I'm on the fence with the whole mother situation. Yes she messed up, badly. It could have resulted in tragedy for FL. But still we are not perfect, parents are parents and if she is trying to make a mends, admit to her faults and try to atone to what she did, cutting ties seems excessive. That might be me and the way I was raised so this is very, very subjective view (and probably different for everyone depending from their relations with their parents)

Overall very good, but if some subplots would be dropped and retrospections limited (especially in the last 4 episodes) this would be a superb 25 eps drama. Still worth watching for main leads and for the way the whole story unfolds. The ending is also uplifting so you don't have the urge to cut yourself when you finish, which is always welcomed :D

Lol just because of the main character wanting to return to the past to save another character from a tragedy?…
Even if neither drama is inspired by one another, which from what I read is the case, doesn't matter. They are touching very similar subjects in very similar premise and have been released relatively close to each other (LR released 5 months after TW). It is only natural that comparisons will happen. Especially with disability topic plus time travel combo, which is a very very specific theme.

I just don't understand why some people have an issue, where comparison to TW is brought up. In first episodes it is there, but just goes in different direction pretty fast. At the end LR and TW are completely different dramas, which for some is a good thing and for some is not. Ones taste in dramas doesn't have to be explained or defended.

So I agree with your "To each his and her own". There must be different kind of dramas so everyone can enjoy what they like :)

Considering that Lovely Runner took 3 years to produce and is based on a web novel, I don't think it was trying…
I never said they did try that. I just said this is how I felt after finishing the drama. That is the difference. Both are touching the similar topics (disability, friends, family, time travel, changing your fate etc.), but, in my opinion, one does it better than the other. And that is it.

I can understand why some people might like LR more than TW, I'm just not that person.

And out of the blue serial killer trope in rom-com is almost automatically at least -2 points for me (this can be done right, just see "Someday or One Day")

First review for this drama and this sentence tells exactly how I feel after finishing it:
"It's trying so hard to be Twinkling Watermelon without attempting to do any of the heavy lifting."

It is not a bad drama by any means, but beginning suggested something completely else just to quickly transform into standard rom-com. This is not bad in itself, it is just a somehow wasted potential. It is a little bit dragging in the last 4-5 episodes.

Overall above mid enjoyable rom-com, but not something I will be coming back to.

Beginning in the space capsule is really not the greatest start. It is a space mission and ML behaving like he is first time there with no training etc. He would have had to undergo multiple weeks or months of extensive training. See Polaris Dawn mission and how they have been preparing for it and how the actual start looked like. Nobody would allow him near the capsule if he would behave like that. Not to mention there is no ground support personel.

As a space nerd I was anticipating this drama a lot, but I just couldn't go past 10 minutes of the first episode. Will try again soon, but it is not a good start and I'm disappointed.

it was a solid 8-9/10 series up until the end of episode 5. The last 3 episodes just made it so much worse. Why did they need to change the direction of the plot this way. I don't get it. And the big fight in the last episode is such unrealistic that suddenly from somehow realistic production, we are somehow dragged in into "action hero" kind of thing, which is ridiculous. Still it was fun to watch, thankfully it is only 8 episodes long, so most of this series is very good.

I know we are waiting for last (?) episode to drop with eng subs, but I must say, for me who don't watch reality shows and any kind of "reality scripted" shows, and find them boring and cringe, this one is very entertaining to watch. The struggle is real, and it shows the amount of work each of the participants put into that endeavor. It was annoying at the beginning but now I actually appreciate it, I'm glad they've chosen one person who couldn't swim and one afraid of riding bicycles. I hope this gives some people a nudge to try themselves (if they think they are "too old to try" or whatever other reason they might have).
I was just expecting to check first episode, but ended up liking it more than I though I would. And now even results doesn't matter for me. I hope they did fine in the competition, but it is not that important.

Is there an episode where they go through fitting them for the bikes?Honestly watching them ride is worrying me,…
Nope, there is no episode about fitting anything, but I wouldn't worry, they are most likely being taken care of by professionals. My gut feeling says that their seats were exactly where it was comfortable for them :)

I have troubles finishing this show. FL is great but ML is so annoying and pathetic. I get it that he has issues with the killing part, but just saying "we will find a different way" and not doing a f* thing? What did he expect, that Izzy will just wait for her to be killed? And ML's inability to grasp that if she dies he dies. How hard is it to understand, that his life is on the line too? I would be ready to kill more than 5 people if my life was on the line, just saying :)
2 episodes to go, thankfully they are not that long, but I see already that this will need a season 2.

Have you seen the post credit scene ?? I wasn't expecting a season 3 until I saw it and now it's more likely we'll…
I don't believe, from economic point of view, that we will ever see any kind of part3. It would be just too expensive. Yes, scene at the end "might" suggest continuation, but also might be a deliberate, open ending to make viewers their own idea what will happen next.

For me ending showed that main lead will be together (albeit not sure with Chae Ok not being immortal, how will it work), and that Seung Jo achieved his goal of not hiding in the dark but release the creature into the world. What comes next it for us to decide. That is my take on the ending.

What matter is, some people just enjoyed it for what this series was beside all the flaws. And it is ok. I doubt it will bring more fans to the franchise, rather opposite, but I wouldn't asy it shouldn't have a follow up.

I enjoyed it, and even with all the bad things I can say about it, for me it was a good production with high entertaining value with actors I really like to watch. And sometimes it is exactly what you need :)

People saying that there has to be season 3 really don't understand how expensive it would be. There is a lot of unanswered questions, and further stories to tell, but I will be really surprised if there is any kind of continuation.
It is a shame they've only made 7 episodes. Additional 3 episodes would nicely allow to add more depth into this 80 or so years that passed.
For me, things that doesn't make sense:
- Why would Tae Sang work with Lady Maeda in the first place
- Why would Chae Ok not know what happen to Tae Snag? Ok she felt she is dangerous, and decided to keep her distance, , but I would expect her to keep tabs to know what is going on in his life
- The whole Tae Sang <-> Seung Jo relationship is huge wasted potential.

Someone said it earlier her, it seems like writers just drop the ball at some point, as the story starts very strong, but fails to deliver in some aspect towards the end. Main leads carried this season, that is for sure.

Still, really enjoyed it, there was a lot more good (for me) than bad in this production.
