Will start my rewatch of TSF once I've finished Tomb of the Sea (again 😄).

This doesn't qualify as a review. It barely even qualifies as a rant, since the content has nothing to do with the actual drama.

Makes me want to binge TSF again just to write a review myself out of spite, though. 😌

I've seen both, but it's Dream of Eternity (the one with Mark Chao and Deng Lun) that I'm talking about.
I've shown that one to several friends now, because it's a good, 2-hour introduction to the optics and storytelling (and the bromance 😂) of C-dramas.

I have seen Yin-Yang Master about 12 times by now, I love it so much. *coughs* 😂

Absolutely. And I think Zhang Qiling would have been VERY confused if they had reacted in any other way. 😂

I watched both seasons back to back and personally
I found both of them equally enjoyable. They go very much into a crime direction, that's true, but I felt that they never lost their flair of adventure. :)

Even if it is, I hope they're just doing remakes of the older seasons with a new cast after that. Always something to look forward to. 😂

WeTV seems to group dramas from the same franchise together as seasons. In this case, Tibetan Sea Flower would indeed be 'season 1', because Tomb of the Sea (listed as season 2) comes right after. :)

Plus, the scene was done almost exactly like it was described in "Ten Years". It couldn't have been more fitting for the characters.

Yeah. And I love that there's hope for more dramas with these boys in the future. 😊

That and he knows there used to be people whose relationship with him made him more human and not the unfeeling rock that others said he was. ❤

In that respect, being able to remember his two friends after every reset will be like a curse when they're gone. But I think, to him it will still be worth it. Knowing that he once had such a strong connection to someone. That there was a time once when he was able to feel so much for a person.

I rarely interact with a drama's comment section, because they're often so toxic, but this one felt like a big group of friends just having a really nice watch party together. 😊

That and we usually don't watch it for the actors, but for the characters, because the actors are changing all the time.
I often compare this franchise to Doctor Who, where constant change is part of the plot, but also what makes it so great and exciting. 😊

Yeah, while the others will get older and leave him behind eventually. But that's both the tragic and the beauty about his story, isn't it. Even Wu Xie gets it, some day. That life is fleeting.

This drama was really special because of him, I absolutely agree.
It was the story we always needed to see to make everything else about him make sense and I'm glad they did it so beautifully.
I also love that they put all the extra stuff in at the end, it made me so happy for those three. ❤

Yeah, the quality of these 90 minute web movies varies a lot. It ca n be hard to find a decent one.
I've heard of the two dramas before, but haven't watched them yet. Thanks for the tip! :)

The only drama that comes somewhat close to this genre for me is "Tientsin Mystic" (both seasons). It has a very unique atmosphere, somewhere between horror, crime, supernatural and suspense. It's really good and it looks just gorgeous. Also, Zhang Ming'En plays one of the main characters. ❤
