Or maybe only verified accounts should be able to vote for a while, that should quickly weed out the spam accounts. Anyway.
Agreed, people don't have the patience for slow burn romances anymore. Everyone has to fall in love at first sight immediately in the first episode. ;)
I wish it was a glitch. These start to feel like targeted attacks to me. =/ I first noticed this when The Wanted Detective aired which had a big drop in ratings early on for reasons I couldn't figure out at all. See my comment further down, I mostly noticed this with dramas that don't focus primarily on romance.
This seems to become the new normal. I've seen this several times now: a new drama has a rating way above 8, until suddenly there's a large number of down votes and the rating drops down to 7.
This mostly happens with dramas that don't have a romance or where the plot doesn't focus on the romance in particular. Both Blood River and Whispers of Fate suffered from this recently—both are currently still around 8, but they still used to be much, much higher— and Love on the Turquoise Land is only the newest target for those people. (Or maybe they're spam accounts? I can't be bothered to find out.)
It's super annoying, though, and it makes me take MDL ratings no longer seriously.
I finished the drama yesterday and I'm still processing everything. What a ride this was, especially the second half of the show. I don't think I have cried this much watching the last few episodes of a drama since I watched Fangs of Fortune, and that's not an easy thing to accomplish. I don't get the current MDL rating at all; I can only guess that people got too bored with this drama too quickly and didn't take their time to see the plot unravel itself bit by bit. Anyway. This one will always have a special place in my heart.
Another reason why I am highly anticipating good quality for this show is because the director, Tian Li is the…
Agreed! I loved both seasons of "Tientsin Mystic" a lot and he directed them both, so his involvement was what made me decide to watch this in the first place (well, that and the trailer looks cool). Another highly anticipated drama he directed is "Sea of Dreams", but that one is hard sci-fi and I'm not sure it will ever get released.
I just finished watching the drama and the second half was even better than the first one! The stakes were steadily raised higher and higher, as some old secrets were revealed, and it was thrilling to watch the characters trying to outmaneuver each other. I think the end was very appropriate, too. For such a short format, this was an excellent drama. Great writing and pacing, excellent acting and chemistry, good soundtrack, and—and this is always worth mentioning in my book—some really well-written female characters that had actual AND distinctive personalities and an agenda.
I'd rate this a bit lower if this was a long-form drama, but since it did really well with the short format and completely exceeded my expectations and since the only things I have to criticize are the costumes (way too modern sometimes) and the slightly rocky start, this gets easily a 9/10 from me.
If you scroll up to the drama description, there are links under "Where to watch Vengeance of the Mountain God". If those are not what you're looking for, then I can't help you. I don't watch dramas illegally, so I wouldn't know where else to find them.
This is a really good drama so far! Gives me a lot of "Tientsin Mystic" vibes (not surprising, it's from the same author) with its setting, the unique atmosphere and the interesting mix of genres.
I like both main leads a lot, as well as the support characters, who are both memorable and likeable which is not an easy achievement in a drama with such short episodes, so that's just evidence of good writing & acting. Can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes. ❤️
Season 2 has already been filmed and is done, and it has been filed for release in August. So if it's not released…
Season 2 has already been filed with 18 episodes. That should cover the story until the end of the Heavenly Palace arc. After that come the events of Ultimate Note, which should be another 36 episodes in total (or 2x18 episodes, if they should decide to stick with the format).

Me too! I found all the promotional pictures in the snow suspicious, because those definitely belong to the Heavenly Palace arc. So that would definitely be an explanation for that.
Is it just me, or does Wang Pang Zhi feel way more irritating in this version compared to the other adaptations?…
Sun Gechuanye is a great Pangzi, in my opinion, and he's proving himself especially in the second story arc of the drama.
I think he greatly channels Chen Minghao's older version of Pangzi here. His mannerisms, facial expressions and speech, the way he turns into both Wu Xie's friend and emotional support in this—all those are remarkably consistent to how I've experienced his character in, for example, Reunion or Adventure Behind the Bronze Door.
There were rumors that Season 2 of Time Raiders will be filmed. How true are they? I really hope it comes back…
Season 2 has already been filmed and is done, and it has been filed for release in August. So if it's not released by the end of this year, it should be in the first months of 2026. (If it doesn't have to adhere to the 12-month-between-sequels rule, that is.)
Really felt this so much! It makes me sad to see the group suspecting him. And the way they say to Wuxie to not…
The dehumanization is a constant theme with him and it broke my heart more than once. Because he himself barely knows what kind of person he is due to his recurring memory loss. And that memory loss (while he's still retaining his martial arts and tomb-raiding skills) also makes it easier for others to use him for their personal gains. Wu Xie and Pangzi are not only vehemently against this, they are also among the few people who always treat him like a human being with own thoughts and feelings. Xiaoge's story is so very tragic. 💔
Time raiders is a remake of Lost tomb and Lost tomb 2 drama...
My guess is that they remade it because
1. the author (who's also heavily involved in the making of the new adaptations) wasn't happy with the old ones any longer
2. to finally bring some order into that whole chaos of adaptations with their missing and/or overlapping storylines and tell a whole, COMPLETE story—and this time with a fixed cast of actors.
Time raiders is a remake of Lost tomb and Lost tomb 2 drama...
Time Raiders covers all of The Lost Tomb (2015), as well as the first part of The Lost Tomb 2 (2019). So if you want to know what happens next, you should start with TLT2 (with Hou Minghao & Cheng Yi) and continue from there.
Does anyone have the name of the song that plays towards the end of episode 08? Im not asking for the ending ost,…
There are three songs listed in the end credits of the drama. The song you're looking for should be 废墟 (Ruins) by 郑楠 (Zheng Nan). Zheng Nan is the same artist who made the song that is played during the end credits of Tibetan Sea Flower/Adventure Behind the Bronze Door.
Besides, your—or even my own—personal opinion on these dramas is not the point here.
Anyway.
