It was truly magical. Seeing XZ getting emotional really touched my heart! With everything he had to go through this year, he does deserve everything. Did you see how XZ was trending on twitter yesterday (over 24 countries)! So hopefully he can see that he has fans all over the world supporting him!
Though I was worried about Yibo. He looked so tired and sad. Towards the end, when he stood with others to receive the VIP award, he smiled only a little bit. Then he had this sad frown the whole time. I really hope he can get some rest soon. He's been working left and right without any break!
ASDFAJSGASJDkaJDJ Never in my life did I think I would stay up the whole night just to catch glimpse of two celebrities in a award show! This is one of the best thing to happen in this year! What a way to end the year! Both XZ and Yibo performing with their beautiful and soothing voice~ Not to mention we were able to see them standing in one frame, at the same time (I'm still having hard time believing it)
The fact that there's a chance of them attending the same award show (Internally screaming) Even though it's a small chance, it is still better than nothing! If they do attend and actually interact(very slim chance of that happening), I will die and come back and scream and scream and who knows what other undiscovered feelings!
PS: This drama will always rule my heart. This page has been a comfort place for me since I discovered this gem of a drama. I hope we can weather the storm and be okay :)
Another foreshadow I didn't see before: when JGY killed WRH! How after WRH fell down, the sudden shift to brightness that reflects the scene in ep 50 where JGY obscures the sun in his bow (the flashback to the part where has thrown down the steps and how he bowed)! The way the lighting was shown and the way WRH collapses, paving the way for JGY to become the new sun!
One line thst depicts the character songs on CQL........Words that the characters wanted to say but couldn't are…
The soundtrack including the songs and the instrumental music is one of the many reason why CQL is special. Maybe it's just me but I honestly don't think CQL would've been the same without the songs and the music.
The fact the drama used the music to communicate with the audience is just muah, chef's kiss. For example, the music whenever they used to play whenever they showed Lotus Pier, they played that for the scene on episode 35 where Lan Zhan was fixing the flute for WWX. Lotus Pier used to be where WWX was most relaxed; he could be fully himself there. It was his source of joy and comfort. But then we all what happens which is why that scene is significant because when Lan Zhan hands the flute over to WWX, it shows that he fully accepts WWX for who he is, demonic cultivation and all. Lan Zhan is the person who WWX can be most relaxed around; he is WWX's source of joy and comfort now. He is his home. The fact they were able to show that with just the music is mind-blowing!
How far along are you with rewatching? How's the experience compared to the first one?
So just like how I took my first time watching it, I'm taking my time rewatching it as well. I just finished ep 42 two days ago. And because I'm helping another friend watch it, I'm watching it with her as well so I can explain it to her step by step lol. We finished ep 4 three days ago. Let's just say it is still mesmerizing and special just like the first time I watched it but this time I'm focusing on their expressions more. I'm also trying to focus on the little details/Easter eggs that I missed during my first time watch.

I really am curious about Wen Zhuliu's background story. What exactly made him rely on the Wen clan? How did Yu Ziyuan recognize him? Why did he let go of Jiang Cheng? Why did he still drink knowing it was drugged (atleast that's what we assumed)?
Hopefully it was just a technical issue. I'm just glad and very thankful that they decided to keep it a secret until the end and bring him to the show :)

I don't know about others but i really adored lan zhan and wei ying's parting in the last episode.....it actually…
Exactly! I personally liked that Lan Zhan became the chief cultivator because that is one of the way he is keeping the promise he made with WWX. He can keep fighting for justice and to help fight evil and help the weak. I also feel him becoming a chief cultivator stayed true to the “responsible” nature of his character. And as you said about WWX, he had to go and find himself because he has living for others and it was time for him to discover himself. Not to mention, I felt WWX WWX needed some time to sort out his feelings for LWJ that what he feels is love instead of gratefulness. The moment LWJ calls him “Wei Ying” , you can tell how WWX’s face is full of affection and bliss after he turned around.
She meant how Xiao Zhan still scratches his nose like WWX and Yibo holds his hand behind his back like Lan Zhan. If they can't move on, how are we fans are expected to move on from it :)
