Have you seen Son Seung Won in Age of Youth or Healer? He did a wonderful job in both of those. Du Shik is not…
I mean, I'd rather win the lottery myself than wish it on him, but I agree to disagree :)

Taken in its entirety, I enjoyed this comedy very much, but I have to say that Jung In Sun gave a demonstration…
Have you seen Son Seung Won in Age of Youth or Healer? He did a wonderful job in both of those. Du Shik is not my favourite role of his either tbh, but I know he's got dramatic chops.

Surely Kim Sun Ho's next role will be male lead in a full-length drama. He's still pretty new but he has such a magnetic charm. I hope he takes the hedgehog with him as a supporting cast member.

Scarlet Heart needs to learn a thing or two from this drama - that's how you do a time-travel-fusion-sageuk ending right!

So Chil Song doesn’t know that Gum Granny is his mom? Or he does? I couldn’t really tell.

And I guess that disproves the theory that Gum Granny and Sae Woo’s mom are long-lost relatives? Because then Sae Woo and Chil Song would be related too o_O

That thieving sous chef makes me SO MAD I want to drop a knife on his foot. The worst is how Poong just accepts it and trusts his former friend when he says he didn't steal the book and the little weasel feels NO REMORSE WHATSOEVER! Pfft I have to stop typing I'm getting so mad again.

Ep 13 and so. frustrated. with. this. drama omg. Yes, the mother is beyond awful but at least she's true to character.…
Aaand I decided to drop it and just read recaps of the last few eps. Judging by those, I made an excellent decision. If you like dramas that show you how depressing and frustrating real life can be, this is perfect for you. On the other hand, if you prefer to escape into dramas with satisfying character-growth, plot development and pacing then just avoid this one like the plague. Extra points deducted for all the overly long shots of brooding that stopped being 'arty' and turned into directorial self-indulgence.

Ep 13 and so. frustrated. with. this. drama omg. Yes, the mother is beyond awful but at least she's true to character. What the hell is Yoon Jin Ah doing?? She makes stupid decisions without thinking them through. She's weak in front of her parents and overbearing with Joon Hee. I'm so disappointed because I liked her so much at first.

Many comments saying the drama is weird? How is it weird?
A lot of the characters are struggling with big problems, but they deal with them in unexpected, quirky ways that make you laugh even as you feel bad for them. Like wearing a fencing mask or synchronised karaoke dancing or expert knife-throwing. There are all these heavy plot developments but no one spends too long moping, they just carry on in their own weird and funny ways, quietly supporting each other all the while. It's definitely unusual for a drama but it really hooks you in.

As a Junho stan, I was kind of stressed because Jang Hyuk was calling me to his ship more than I want to be called. But the last scenes of ep 10 changed everything. These two and their one night affair are all kinds of adorable.

Worst revenge story of 2018. A lot of the things are forced & uninteresting . Also crappy writing, it seems K-drama…
Okay there are a lot of tropes and some things are very unrealistic, yes. But if I wanted realism I'd be watching My Ahjussi or Pretty Noona. This drama is made to satisfy a craving for fun, cheesy thrills and in that respect I think it's doing great. Plus Lee Jun Gi does not deserve to be put down as just a pretty face, dude can elevate a drama like this to something more than the sum of its parts :)

That was one of the best opening episodes I've seen in a long time. Like it might not be the most perfectly constructed or heartbreakingly realistic or whatever, but it was crazy good fun and that's just what I'm looking for right now. Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji are perfectly cast! Can't wait for more.

Who's the main pairing? Is it a noona romance? Or too early to tell?
If the OTP is Poong/Sae Woo does it still qualify as a noona romance even though we don't know how old they're supposed to be in the drama? I feel like if age is never brought up or seen as an obstacle, then it's not a noona romance.

This show is so playful, kind of absurd in the best way. It always feels like something magical is just about to happen.

Should I start this drama? I like the fact that it's Jun Ho, but this role doesn't really feel like it suits him.…
The only things TOL and Greasy Melo have in common are food and Lee Mi Sook. Otherwise, the whole vibe, editing, storyline, characterization is completely different. I personally think Junho is doing great at showing the wounded puppy side of a character who could be so abrasive in the wrong hands (much like Seo Yul in Chief Kim).

Not even Ji Chang Wook could get me to finish this drama. And that is really saying something. I'm glad I stayed long enough to see the bathroom fight scene though lol.

I always feel a kind of sadness and vulnerability with Junho, no matter what type of role he's playing. It makes my heart hurt when bad things happen to him. So far that's a nice contrast in a light, fun drama like this one.

I got into dramas because of the escapism. I get enough Slice of Life watching western shows, which are often terribly grim and brutal these days. Give me a 400 year old alien or a cartoon character come to life any day of the week! Having said that, it's important to me that the relationships are realistic, even in a heightened, fantasy situation. Cliches are fine as long as they are well-written, well-acted and feel organic to the situation.
