Couldn't agree more! It is my absolute fave BL seres this season and the chemistry is so much there! 🥰🥰🥰I love the fact that the problems are addressed that comes with this relationship, especially how to act in public even though you know you are in love.

It is not that I don't feel with Shiono. but I partly understand Takoi. It is a new world and experience for Takoi to love a man, and he is unsure how to act in public. The scene in the sea paradise where he takes Shiono's hand from HIS side, but let go when people stare at him, was already a sign. Takoi will need a bit time to come clear and overcome this insecurity. But he will and the love will grow stronger! 🥰

It was! My hope is: These kind of problems often appear rather at the end of a series, and since this happens in ep 5, they hopefully reconsile in ep 6 or 7 and then we have three more eps to enjoy seeing them dating! ... Unless more problems appear!

The date was so wonderful, but the second half ... it broke my heart! 😭 Such a heartfelt series!

You are spot on with the politeness. I grew up in Japan and lived there for 17 years. And there are the Japanese words "Tatemae" (what people are expected to do in the public) and "honne" (their true feelings inside). That kind of sums it up. People indeed in Japan try avoiding confrontations unlike in other countries. So when Japanese people say "yes", it can also mean no inside.

What I just thought and found funny is that Shiono likes Takoi - and Shiono loves eating Tako-yaki. 🥰🥰🥰Adorable!

By the way for non-Japanese speakers: In the ending-scene of ep 4 Takoi stammers "su ... su ..." Normally we would expect a confession because "I like/love" means "suki" in Japanese. Instead Takoi says: Let's go to the sea paradise together!" Sea paradise means in Japanese "Suizokkan" So "Suki" and "Suizokkan" have the same two letters in the beginning.

"Duty First" is such a wonderful combination of light comedy, without skipping serious topics. And the two actors are not from any boy group as it usually is, but real actors. And it shows. Truly beautiful series so far. And I created my account last year when I was watching "School trip"! 😂😂😂 Before I have been using MDL also just for general search purposes!

The preview where Shiono heard what Takoi said is actually also a part of the manga, but the problem will be solved quite soon! :)

Ep 4 was so adorable again! It was over too soon and and the two are simply such a great match with fantastic chemistry! ❤️❤️❤️ And REALLY? Waiting another week again??? Nooooo!

I finally remembered in which series I saw Kimisawa Yuki ... it dawned on me! "Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2"! He played the surgeon Nishigaki there! ❤️ This series is okay, but somehow the characters doesn't reach me, but still watching of course! 🤭

I was actually afraid of this plot too, but , it is completely the opposite! The two main characters support each oher so much, it is actually more a calm series, but I truly love this! No toxic relationship at all!

What the heck ...?!? It's been while since I dropped a series! But this has no entertainment and goes nowhere ... truly disappointing!

Exactly the same 10 series I am watching!
