A good start to this series indeed…love having Up and Poom back. Poom is absolutely gorgeous as Wayu, totally smitten from the outset and all his small looks and gestures are adorable. Can’t wait for the next episode. 🥰
I must say I love this show; it‘s completely bonkers insane, the script is all over the place, nothing makes sense, things happen in the blink of an eye without any explanation at all, guns, wounds, fatal poisonings…😬Thai BL Raiders of the Lost Script... The lead actors are handsome and doing their best but why oh why didn’t anybody check this before they released it… A glorious mess. Can’t wait for the final episode next week. If it hasn’t already been mentioned btw., same director as Interminable. I fail however to see the directorial touch here. Cursed Love ❤️.
For me, one that focuses purely on the journey of the main character towards the designated love interest within a self contained world or setting. There may be a secondary couple, or couples but the wider concerns of the situation the characters find themselves in is not really addressed to any great extent, regardless of whether Korean, Thai, Japanese… Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of such stories and follow them with great enthusiasm. I just think that this particular series feels more rooted in an authentic queer experience.
I really enjoyed Heesu in Class 2. a thoroughly charming and heartfelt series. As with many I have not read the original story so can make no comment. However, this show managed to forefront a gay storyline unapologetically whilst not going down the road of a standard BL series. The setting and characters all feel rounded and are, despite what many dislike, given shared screen time so that Heesu‘s world seems real. The themes of friendship, honesty, being brave enough to risk disappointment are all well handled. The production is top notch, the acting spot on. A gem. ❤️
This show is just so random…each episode is nearly an hour long but has still been cut in such an odd way… Noey asks Jued to give him another chance and to no go to the exhibit…next scene Nom Jued is at the exhibit and Noey comes by to thank him for letting him try and leaves…did we see any of Noey talking to Phra Ek..? Nope, not a bit…😂🤔 And then Nom Jeud is staying over and fiddling with the remote control…and we all know how that went… It’s just bizarre…not dreadful, but very peculiar.
I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to like this but Ep 1 was very good. The raw look is great, shooting on phones and around Siam as it really is gives the show a true sense of place. The four main characters are all interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing where the series goes. Anyone interested in contemporary Thai youth culture should check this out. 🥰
The latest episode was an improvement…the characters are kind of all over the place and not quite as likable as I think most people would want…the dynamics are weird.. Nom Jued is a weird boy but Phra Aek has totally fallen for him… It’s all quite ridiculous but for those of us who are sticking with it, enjoyable nonsense and not half as bad as people are saying. Looks like things will progress a bit next week when the facial hair gets a makeover 😉.
This is intriguing…it is really nicely shot, Boss and Nouell are great together and the mystery is, well, a mystery… People are now saying there’s no parallel world because P‘Cir said he was lying…bit I‘m not so sure. Can wait for next week with Mick…🥰 This is so much better than the disaster that was Love Sea.
I must say that I enjoyed this show very much. I was never bored or irritated with any of the main characters, it was super sweet and all the case did a great job. The unpleasantness that could have interrupted the love story of Teerak and P‘Fah was dealt with twice in a rather speedy way but I wasn’t irritated by that. As. A Sunday night show it was perfect. Thomas as P‘Fah was so handsome and to die for, always looking a million dollars. People‘s annoyance with Teerak I find a bit unnecessary; clearly the character was designed as a naive sweetheart and Kong made him very charming. If we didn’t see as much of the side characters as many wanted, I guess that’s par for the course and we got enough to make them also essential in the whole story arc. Well done all round. 🥰
I finally got round to watching this and I must say I liked it a lot. I can understand people complaining that it’s slow but I found it nice. In comparison to other series this is not sensational with a laugh a minute - it has more of an indie-movie vibe that makes it stand out. The extremely awkward main couple may put people off but they grow on you. Side actors who have gone on to other things include, Offroad, Poon, Putter and Copper…it’s really cute to see them here starting off. Not a simple watch, but recommended.
I‘m sad this is over but very happy that I got to watch it. All in all a well made and touching depiction of the trials of young love. The age of the cast and their ability to really make the series feel authentic impressed me the most. Despite the large cast the main characters all stood out and their stories were well told. As always we wish that some things could have gone better for some (Per/Win…Earn) but that’s the way life is. I hope that some of these kids go on to make more series as Friday College charmed me every Sunday.
Next week we get to see Ton..! 😍 The show is s bit draggy at the moment and the Ter/Hill story isn’t really going anywhere… North and Johan could be quite amusing if they make it like that, but I fear it might not be planned that way… As with We Are and Perfect 10 Liners, I am not sure that shows helmed by New with multiple pairings and 7000 episodes are a good idea. We‘ll see though…
