Title The Beauty Inside Spoiler

Hiding - for the sake of not spoiling the lifelong friendship, I guess? Part of me cheers on him when he speaks about mixed-sex friendship being a thing (because, hey, it is), but part of me doesn't buy it in this case. He goes further than a friend would in his devotion and it's not only because of the opportunity earning money while being next to her.
Hiding (2) - for the sake of the drama? and being a certain type of closeted 2nd lead that isn't clingy or pesky and knows his place? Wanting to become a monk is a bit extreme though.
Regarding him and the short-haired manager friend knowing, I hear you. They know about her condition and accept her, but don't get full credit for being there for her for years and years. It's not like she's all alone and misunderstood. She has supporting friends. Why is he not trying - see above.

I guess I'm not fully buying that becoming a priest/monk/whatever is really a dream for him. He's determined enough to oppose his parents, that's for sure, but he doesn't even seem to be that religious? Why a priest of all things? What are his reasons anyway other than that his not interested in other women?

Title The Beauty Inside Spoiler
seriously why they keep teasing us with the 2nd couple (eun ho-sa ra) if eunho is about to become a priest?? So…
priest my foot. he's so getting into priesthood to avoid his feelings for Se Gye. Have you noticed how his facial expression glitched when his mum told him he may not see his friends for years? My money is strongly on the second couple happening eventually.

well, there's still more about killing(s) and ML being a patented sociopath beside that. If the writers feel confident enough to give so much away so early, there must be more stored, I hope. They may also pull a double twist on them (not) being blood related in this version. Who knows.

Everyone talks about this huge plot twist from jap. ver at the end. Please just tell me it's not Jin Kang and…
... yup, precisely. That's it.

On one hand, the show is anything but subtle about The Huge, Schocking Twist TM, on the other a certain type of thrill comes from watching and finding out for sure that, yes, it's exactly what it looks like.

This drama doesn't have romance listed in its genre. But I'll give it a try.
it should have, even if it's subtle. They obviously care for each other and the tension is present. There's even a proper 2nd lead.

Is anyone else trying to guess who Se Gye is going to transform into next ?
the rivaling actress (Ryu Hwa Young) to somehow blow her chances with the movie director/ get her into a scandal /... ! I wonder can it work this way here, can she do real people too? Because I have a list already for hijinks ensuing.

Is it going to be exactly the same as One Million Stars Falling from the Sky (2002), or will they change it a…
it's been a while since I saw the j-version, but so far they seem pretty similar to me story-wise. The makers are adding little tweaks and updates here and there (cat instead of a bird, some fancy brewery instead of a wine bar, the girl's exact occupation, things like that). It's updated and re-planted, quite succesfully, I believe. It's not a scene to scene remake, but it keeps the original's spirit properly. Some viewers say that certain scenes are giving off slightly different vibe, but I'm not feeling it personally.
It's very cinematic and that alone makes this version worth watching.
They have to stretch ca. 8 hours into 16 somehow, so who knows how it'll go later on though.

Why is this already a 7.5? It barely aired 2 days ago
taking some wild guesses what can bother some viewers, because that rating is just ridiculous:
a. old people whining about their ordinary lives? /s
b. old people acting immoral *faints* / plotlines and topics someone doesn't approve of or has no interest in...? I'm not really sure how is that the reason for a low rating though. A drop, sure, but why rate it for being what it is?
c. some unvoiced opinions about the superiority of the original version perhaps?
Really, I have no idea. The only qualm I have with this drama is that Cha Tae Hyun's character monopolizes all the screentime and he's probably the least intriguing one (maybe it's just overexposure talking). I wonder was it also the case in the j-version. The cast is excellent, the storytelling is nice and the execution is such a breath of fresh air. I keep checking the broadcaster logo, because I can't believe it's not on one of the cable stations. 7.5 is an insult for this drama.
If you look at the graph you'll see that most of the ratings are around 8 (which isn't a low score in a grand scheme of things), it's only three very low scores that are bringing the rest down. But then again it also says that 12 people have already completed it o_O, so what's the worth of it all.

About that twist I think it'll be hard for them to change it in the remake as it was essential to the plot. But…
For now I'm classifying his remarks under hindsight material rather than a sign of awareness, but it'd be interesting to see how would the writers handle what you're proposing. They have more runtime to fill with something afterall.
Nah, on second thought I don't think he does. He's giving way much thought to matching burn marks for him to know about their connection beforehand.

(Geez, maybe a double spoiler box system could come handy with remakes. I commend everyone who hasn't seen the original and can withold from looking up the ending with all the talk going on here.)
On The Smile Has Left Your Eyes Oct 6, 2018
I can't be the only one thinking the showmakers are keeping the original twist, can I? one thing you need to know about One Million Stars.. is that the writer likes her twists telegraphed from the very beginning, and that version is keeping it this way so far.
On Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju Oct 6, 2018
woah, I'm so thrilled they're making a life action, because it deserves all the attention in the world. Hope it will get subbed one day, too. But at the same time I'm nervous, because why would you even try remaking something that was 100% perfection?
Please, don't botch it please don't botch please don't botch it.

I tried searching what Terius meant, and Urban Dictionary said "A good looking individual who is great in bed…
just for the record, Terius was a Daddy Long Legs character in a manga called Candy Candy (because one will never get tired with references to Master's Sun). That's what they say on dramabeans.

oh, that's interesting to know. The way the story looks in the synopsis seemed a bit out of sequence, and I like having kind of a frame with long dramas beforehand.
thanks for replies!
