Still on episode 9 and isn't completely sold yet. It's a long way to go, and I'm having high hopes…
my guess is, Chicago Typewritter brought you here and it's going to be a hard landing, because despite similar setting, those shows aren't really comparable at all. Not better or worse, just very different - and made in different times, with different means and approach for what a tv show can be.
So for others who are coming here after finishing CT - take my advice and let it fade for some time.
That was a really good review, by the way. I'm still watching the show but your review makes sense. "Not…
I know exactly what you mean and I think it's similar here. I don't see it as a fault of a writting, it seems intentional, at least to some extent. I'd mind in other type of show, but here it fits.
One thing am confused about when Jang Hyun Soo was saying that 4 people have disappeared & 3 more will disappear…
Not necessarily. Unless they will come in his way, he has no reason to kill them, for now he's just keeping an eye on them. (Of course they will.) He can just pick some random 'sinners' to punish for his grand scheme. There was one in a preview, a next case.
/but if the forensic guy survives, the killer will still need one more victim.
If someone watches both cut and uncut version, comparison or just a mention of what is in cutted out parts is…
So it's not edited out (like Scarlet Heart: Ryeo) with scenes cutted out, added or rearranged, but fit into different format? Am I understanding it correctly? I tried watching 5th uncut (the 1hr version - ironically, not the one with 'uncut' in a title on YT, which is 47 mins), but the beginning didn't match with ep 4 ending. It does seems a little disjointed, but maybe that's the way it is.
If someone watches both cut and uncut version, comparison or just a mention of what is in cutted out parts is highly welcomed.
(I'm sticking with cutted, 45-ish minutes long version.)
sorry to spam here, but I felt into a rabbit hole of an unsubbed cdramas on youtube. Goodlooking, uncringy cdramas (yes, they exists!). Anyone happens to know something about one called Demon of Chang An (2016)? It's not on MDL, but has a douban entry: https://movie.douban.com/subject/26818333/ Is it based on something? Is there a slightest possibility for someone subbing it?
There's so much more! Why are we only getting generic fluff on streaming sites. /r
ep.5-6 reminds me of Empress Ki when she was in the palace as a maid. Anyone feels the same?
have you seen it subbed? I only found it up to episode 4 (and ep 4 had strong Empress Ki feel about it, but I may even like that version of a contest better)
no way, Bong Hee's wearing those shoes the killer send her. I knew her tolerance of creepiness was high after she kept living on a murder scene, but that's a new level.
The production is sadly very inconsistent with awkward green screen. It's feels and looks like a typical…
why xianxia, there's no fantasy other than those weirdly bloodthirsty wolves as far as I went? But I so much agree with you on brightness level, it's blinding. There was even an interior scene when they told it's a night and I was like, uhm, ok, if you say so.
GUYS. SHE DOES COME FROM THE PRESENT. How do we know? watch the opening scene. Her tattoo from present life fades,…
I think it's not the end, but a middle point of the story and we're just thrown into it headfirst. There's a short scene at the beginning on episode 1, but it only develops in the beginning of the next ep. She did something wrong, we're not told what, has to fight with one of them (Yu Wen Hao?) and loses. She doesn't die yet. Here it starts.
But the description above was corrected anyway (or was it always this way? I'm not sure where the confusion came from).
do emperor hui and empress ki get together? are they endgame? love-hate? IS THIS A GOOD DRAMA?
So good. The emperor is an endgame, but their story is tragic and full of deep misunderstandings till the bitter end, and she still loves the King in her own way (but there are viewers who believe she only loved the emperor too).
