The best part of this drama was watching Sukjong showing his charisma
now that he's gone I'm afraid this trainwreck of a plot won't go far without his charisma. I still can't decide whether Lee In Jwa is brilliant or really delluded and whether this drama actually has a plan. And how did this sickly Crown Prince make so far? One thing for sure - not a predictible drama.
Struggling to watch ep 20.
On ep 4. What is the point of his visions? They are redundant to the storyline, if he doesn't act on them.
/nevermind, sPOILERS OF FURTHER EPS
those with bird and sign falling was for proving he isn't crazy - the future happens as he says. Served its purpuse, out of the picture.
But I agree with your main point. Up until episode 9 I was frustrated those visions: arranged in a linear way, he just gets head-ups and waits, utterly passive (and maybe slightly irritated - how dare she show in his head and remind him what a jerk he was?). He tried once not to do what he saw (embrace OHY#1 running into his arms) and failed without much struggle. Then! The end of ep 9 was promising. I though we're going to see some elegant structure, with it all happening inside his head during his last moments and psychiatrist as his mental invention. But after last episode it doesn't seem to be the point anymore. Combined with all those recollections of his father, it's just plain ol' carpe diem. As CjRun said, it's just a plot device now.
I like how they show OHY quietly on the bus, she realize she shouldnt go on the date with her ex. That is so beautiful…
Uhm, hadn't she done it only because she didn't want to loose his attention and source of money? I doubt his best interest was one of her concerns. She just spotted a weakness and used it.
I reaaaaally ship OHY#1 with that work colleague of hers. You know, with circle glasses? It's so subtle you probably…
Whatever the actor does, they aren't choosing shots randomly when putting them together. Especially not with this drama, being as self-aware as possible without Dramaworld-level of meta. I hope he will get more scenes and maybe even a closure...? Best scenario for me: OHY#1 listens to her mum (very sensible woman), abandons both PDK and HTJ and chooses co-worker.
One moment Nam Gung Min is a cute laughable oddball, the other moment he makes me hyperventilate.....Seriously,…
You're not alone. I'm grinning like an idiot since Saturday. I didn't expect him to have such a side. I mean, he was always charismatic, but this is a whole new level.
i am interested in watching this drama.... i was wondering if there are two main couples and no love triangles?
Let's say there are open triangles and closed triangles. For a purist, a true triangle would require all three parties having feelings for each other (and I'm not talking about bromance).
Kdrama: M1> <F <M2 (open triangle; more of a rivalry than true triangle)
Vampire diaries (I guess): M1> <F> <M2 (F's conflict + Ms' rivalry)
Puristic variant: M1> F> M2>> M1.. (tragic variant) OR <<M1> <F> <M2>> (merry party variant)
Frankly, I'm fine with current rating (6-7). The initial response was obviously fake, but sadly this drama is not that great, average at best. If people are going to give all 10s now to bring the score up, it's as fake and unhelpful as haters' 1s. The option to rate separate episodes is there for a reason.
I'll watch it still because the male lead seems cool and I watched (and fast-forward re-watched...) worse only because of LHS (could he finally get his own drama??). And I'm a sucker for love triangles. I want to see how Bo Nui will catch the tiger!:)
HJE's character is toned down compared to her previous roles, but at the end I was close to turning it down, because - yeah, that's another quirky, squeeky HJE all over again. Plus the assistant adds in hyperactivity department.
That hairstyles tho...So distracting. They managed to make LHS look ugly.
M'kay, rating a drama a 1 on the same day the first episode comes out.....is just weird to me. I mean, what have…
nah, they're just random haters. They're probably expressing their dislike for the actress or general frustration with life. Idk. Wasn't the option to rate closed till now?
Was there no preview for episode 5? I'm curious as to whether Joon Soo said yes or no to Gong Mi..
Unless he took her for the dinner out of pity only to say 'no' as politely as is expected from him, I think the fact that they're together speaks for itself.
