I finished it and I liked it but not as much as most people. The FL and her voice and overall behaviour to be…
Yeah, I struggled with her a bit. Ironically, the ML bothered me more. I didn't like that, at times, his face didn't match the emotion in the dubbing, and the dubbing didn't match the emotion in the face. There's a lot to really like about the drama, so I might try again later when I'm not so freshly spoiled.

I hope all rumors about a director's cut (or more cleanly edited edition) being released are true. I feel like its likely part-wishful thinking, but maybe we'll luck out? The Director is known to be a perfectionist with his craft, so I'm hoping the feedback he's hearing comes into play.

Honestly there should be spin-off on empress consort and Wendy. Their story is amazing. Hands down LW has the…
His fight scenes are incredible. I did the same thing (rewatched his fight scenes in TLB). It's even more impressive in the BTS. His choreography and deftness w/his hands is really something to watch.

I'm being haunted everywhere. I tried to watch The Imperial Coroner, and they're both shot in the same locations!!! I'm seeing LBY's mansion, Empress's bedroom, and the long stone corridor. UGHHH. I can't escape my longing.

Hi, I'm wondering whether to watch this drama so I have some questions. Does the body swap take long? Is there…
Body swap has only happened 2x. Each instance is funny, a way for them to get to know each other, and fairly short in duration (the 2nd time happened for about 2 episodes). No to your 2nd and 3rd question. The 2ML isn't annoying, he's pretty cool. The character development for everyone is stellar and worthwhile.

Also she had a problem with the emperor?? God forbid an emperor has empathy and is kind and funny for once.
RIGHT?! I loved the Emperor. He was HUMAN. The most human Emperor I've ever seen in a cdrama. Ugh she just annoyed me all over again, lmao.

Well, compared to other dramas the romance is definitely lacking. I'm on ep. 37 now and so far it is still rather…
Agree 100%. The romance in LLTG was built one pain-staking step at a time, and it made me 100% invested in every single moment between them as they got closer together.

well I also disagreed with her take on ADoS and LBFAD so I guess we have different tastes heh.
But also, i was already a fan of ZLS and WL prior to LLTG- I just hadn't seen them in heavier roles like this before. I hope they keep going with these heavy hitting roles. They're so young , I imagine its just a matter of time.

Exacccctly! No one can tell me ZLS and WL can't act after watching them in P2. My lord, they were fantastic. I think she's just outta her mind with her biases.

I don't think, even in the trailers, the show was depicted as a fluffy romance. The angst, war, revenge, and longing were shown even there. I went into it expecting a slow burn romance with a lot of family dynamics, long term plotting, etc, and it was pretty spot on

i'm watching Love Between Fairy and Devil (also obsessed) but it's ending soon. I also just started The Imperial…
Hahah I don't think anything can compare to LLTG, but I adore LBFD. It's very different from LLTG, so that helps. I LOVEEE the CP for LBFD. So much chemistry. Their BTS is hysterical too, they're both such gremlins to each other with all their bickering.

It gets better after a few episodes. She grows up quite a bit. Yeah, this is Dylan's time to shine. Especially these last few episodes with his angst/pain. So well acted.

I actually started watching it based off your review, ha. Same reason I also watched The Longest Day in Chang'an (one of my all time favorites).

She just single person with her subjective opinion, honestly speaking I didn't like any drama she praised or recommend…
I think it just bothers me because there are people who'll wait for her reviews to decide whether to watch it, and they're really missing out on some gems because of her.

Also, I love that it's got some of the standard xianxia tropes but then it completely subverts them too. Like the body-swapping between a gentle fairy and our aggro Moon supreme overlord, or having him regain emotions and *choose* to feel love and pain, VS every. Cheng Yi. drama. ever. Or how the villain's we think we know, are actually the people we'd least expect. It's just soooo good.

It's one of the strongest narrative storylines I've ever watched in a cdrama. Everything happens for a reason, there are no useless misunderstandings or plot foils to push the story. The characters are straightforward and communicate with each other. The CP is very natural and full of chemistry, and their character development is SO. DAMN. GOOD. The world-building is gorgeous; every realm has distinct textures, characteristics, CGI effects, and coloring. The costumes are impressive and beautifully built. Again, the textures, the colors, the layering - the characters (mainly DFQC) look like a Renaissance painting come to life. I love the CGI- they spent a *lot* of money and over a year in post-production, hiring over 13 different companies to make sure the CGI was done perfectly, and it shows. Other cdramas that are out this year don't hold a flame to the amount of production value put into this drama. Definitely give it another shot.
