8.1 is a good rating on MDL. It's just that most MDLers watch a lot of dramas, sometimes for years, and some of…
That's the first time I'm even reading such a thing. There were many discussions about ratings on the forums. That's why now when you pass your mouse above the ratings you have 4 different ratings. It used to be only one but people were complaining about weither or not people who dropped a show had any right to rate it. But then, the ones who completed a drama were most likely to have appreciated it, hence rated it higher. You simply have to accept that some people have different tastes than you. Most MDLers put their rating system on their profile. When some consider anything under 8 crappy, some others consider anything above 5 worth watching. I rated this one 7 and I think it's fair. This site, unlike Viki and iQiyi, is not for watching but specifically for rating only. Here, there is no need to promote a drama you bought so that your investissement is profitable. Think about it. PS: Not that I have anything against Viki or iQiyi. I just find it difficult to trust their ratings completely because of the money involved.
I'm so confused why this drama is rated so low. It was genuinely such a good drama, and shen yue's acting improved…
8.1 is a good rating on MDL. It's just that most MDLers watch a lot of dramas, sometimes for years, and some of us don't even watch anything else anymore. So of course, the ratings usually are lower here. But at the same time, I find them more accurate.
Sorry, just checking...are you commenting on the right drama? The FL of this drama is a writer, not an athlete.…
I am. I suggest you rewatch the beginning. I have nothing against the story in itself, as I said I actually enjoyed it.
To explain further: There is this one scene where she catch a thief in the beginning, then end up going to the police station where everyone knows her, and is attacked after getting out. That's what I'm referring to. This part of her personnality is basically forgotten after that. She stops being the savior and becomes only the damsel in distress. Not that I mind the damsel in distress trop but at that time, I thought she would get on more troubles with this gang later on in the drama because of this habit of hers to help catch criminals. So introducing her as someone who often help the police felt useless to me. She could have been a litteracy student without changing anything in the story. The best proof is that you yourself couldn't remember this part. As for her being an athlete, she does say it when she passes her interview. But the only time this comes in handy is when she tidy up the storage room all by herself.
binge-watched it but I can't give it a higher rating than 7/10. I often notice it in chinese dramas but autors tend to forget the premise they set for their own charaters. The FL is supposed to be an athlete who often helps the police catch criminals, but after one or two episode this is completly useless to the plot. I enjoyed it despite that but I can't say this drama has something different. It's a light watch, I enjoyed it, that's it.
How is this so far? I've been planning to watch it for a while now but a bit unsure due to the mixed reviews..…
I think the poster and the world "hilarious" in the summary are misleading, but it's interesting. I 'd say it's worth watching but completely different from what I expected. I'll probably submit another summary very soon.
Lee Soo Hyuk has as more main roles in his pocket than Kim Jae Young and Rowoon who were unfairly removed from…
He is always the Second Main Lead. I don't remember one drama where he is THE main lead. It's frustrating because we see him registered as a main lead but when we watch the drama, he is never first. It's like a curse to his fans.
Im trying not to stop watching... the princess personality is very irritating... I dont get it... She fell in…
I wouldn't say she's in love deeply at first, more like she's intrigued and amused by him. Because when he makes a move on her at first, she tries to run away.
Is it a happy ending for the leads? I want to watch, but dislike sad, bittersweet, or open endings, or does he…
It's a happy ending for sure and they were very much in love. I remember I enjoyed it a lot so it's highly unlikely that he cheated on her, that would have bothered me.
Why is the rating only 8.4 when almost everyone is giving it a 10? I thought it would be a 9 at least. I haven't…
You have to separate what you read in the comments from the ratings. A lot of watchers don't comment here. And those who comments are usually either enthousiasts or haters of a drama. People who enjoyed it but not so much tend to comment less and don't necessarily write about their final ratings.
Why a 10? As I said, I wasn't really invested in the romance. As for the story as a whole, I enjoyed it but I liked other dramas about ghosts more than this one. It was enjoyable, hence the 8/10, but I'm not even sure I'll remember the story in two years. To me, it's a 7/10 + 1 for the originality of the magician concept.
8/10: Somehow, I wasn't really invested in the romance but still managed to like it thanks to the funny ghosts. (At some point, I had a SML syndrom and that nearly never happens to me.) +1 for the magician concept which is rather unusual in dramaland.
