I'm really hoping that Hye-in & Je-na end up standing together at the end of all this. Like, we get all these small moments of support, and them caring for each other, and I really need that to pay off somehow. Because otherwise what's the point? Like, I'm getting kinda tired of them giving the guys these moments where they "save" the girls (mostly so the drama can then pretend they're relevant), when I just want to see Hye-in and Je-na really stick up for each other. We've had two seasons of build-up at this point, time to pay it off!

Honestly, I always felt like this was more of ensemble drama where the traditional "first lead or second lead" rules don't necessarily apply. That's how it should continue imo.

Kinda funny how it feels like the entire point of the Je-na drug storyline was to cut her off from her momey so she could have a sleepover with Hye-in. They literally wrapped that plot up immediately after.

Same. I kept expecting something or someone to interrupt them. And then you see him walking out of the room closing his pants. That's the moment I realized I underestimated how dark this drama would get.

I mean, shooting somebody in cold blood isn't exactly something most people want to do. He's a killer, she's not.

I'm assuming he jumped/ crawled out of the car, considering we never actually saw a body either before or after the car exploded. I'm choosing to stick to the classic "no body, no death" rule.

Random thought, but I'm so used to hearing shoddy English in kdramas that I'm genuinely shocked to hear some actually decent English here.

Why am I shipping Sang-gi and his boss? And that scene from the preview certainly isn't helping.

And he still can't. At this point it's only a matter of time before somebody else falls off a roof lol.

I'm hoping we're not heading for a "well, actually, the parents are the real evil" type of ending, because I really don't care about them.

I think that's mostly a problem this season has, while S1 was mostly able to get away with it. Sa-rang is literally just So-mang's replacement, Do-eon just doesn't have much to do this season sadly, and Jin-wook's entire reason for existing is so people would make tiktok's about him (he's by far the worst offender in this regard). The women are clearly running the show though, but that's also why the forced romance this season bothers me so much: it's like the writer and director suddenly aren't confident enough that these women can carry the show on their own so they have to give people a romance to swoon over.

Honestly, for somebody that uses Hye-in like a chess piece, I also kinda feel like she's often surprisingly "friendly" with her. I just think there's an obvious difference with how Je-na acts with Hye-in vs how she acts with literally everyone else.

Honestly, at this point I'm hoping that Jinwook is actually just evil, because it might actually make him interesting. Like, I'm sorry, but right now he's just 50 shades of bland and boring. They try so hard to make him this sexy mysterious guy, but that's literally all there is to him, and it just feels so forced. It doesn't help that his "mystery" isn't all that interesting, and that his plot just feels so detached from everything else. Why should we care? And don't even get me started on this joke of a romance between him and Je-na.

If it's anything even remotely like the original jdrama, there's no romance in this.

Episode 4 was kinda depressing. There's no real satisfaction or justice in any of the outcomes, but that's also precisely why it feels so real, because they don't feel the need to give it some kind of optimistic spin. I like it.

S2 very much assumes you've seen S1 (and that you actually remember it, because they don't bother giving you a recap). It's highly recommended to have seen it because pretty much every storyline is a continuation from S1, or happens because of the events from S1.

Heck, it's kinda telling when the two new guys haven't actually added anything meaningful to the season because the writers haven't quite figured out how to involve them in something they weren't actually a part of.

I just think Jenna would rather use, or purposely look down on, Hye-in than admit that they might actually be friends (or something close to it). Jenna is a very cold and closed off person that uses people to get what she wants, and pushes others away before they can get too close, but I also think Hye-in is about the only person that actually seems capable of reaching her genuine side. It's a complicated dynamic, but that's exactly what makes it interesting (and why I love it).

That's exactly it. They try so hard to make him look hot and sexy (seriously, what even was that scene of him shooting that gun while smoking), as if they're desperate to have people make edits about him and Jenna (which, sadly, is working), nevermind that Jenna literally does not seem interested at all. I honestly feel it would be out of character if they suddenly have Jenna actually have feelings for this guy or reveal that she wasn't just using him, but I fear that's exactly where this is going.

S1 was refreshing because it was never about that, nor was it trying to be. It gave you small crumbs to do with as you want, but it was never interested in romance stories, which is also exactly what made it work. But now it's like the creators aren't confident enough in their own work, so they suddenly feel the need to force it in.

At this point I'm hoping that all of this remains one-sided, because that's about the only thing that can save it, so the drama can ceep the focus where it should be.

Feel like I'm the only one that's actually really enjoying this season. It's top-notch entertainment, just like season 1, as long as you don't take it too seriously. They can keep the romance though, I don't care about it.

I'm surprised nobody has brought up that the school looks completely different than last season. Even the exterior of it is totally different. Like, there's no way this is the same school.
