If I can share my thoughts about this, I would say I like the Chinese version. I'm not saying the Thai version…
True. I completely agree. Thai dramas tend to be dramatic by putting a lot of variables in their story, and you are also right, there are a lot of good Thai series. But I also tend to watch CDramas more. I grew up watching Chinese movies and series, because I really loved the stories and the costumes (martial arts and effects too), and only started watching Korean dramas around 2002, I think? And I started watching Thai around 2018. I find Thai Dramas to be like the dramas in our country, full of unnecessary drama and little plots, but I really enjoy them still.. π
Thai dramas are very different from Chinese and Korean dramas. I took some time to get into them and I remember…
This is true. Watching Thai dramas takes time getting used to, especially since they have more tonal language than Mandarin. However, please don't be discouraged, there are a lot of Thai drama that are gems out there, it just depends on your taste or liking. The actor, New is actually one of my favorite actors. He is not as great yet as the other Thai actors or compared to Korean/Chinese actors, but he does try his best. He did well in all the other dramas I watched him at. This is the first time I watched Kaimuk so I am not sure about her acting, but I think from their interview, she said this is her first main lead role, so let's give her some leeway. The acting wasn't over all very bad.
I watched the Chinese version when it aired and since it has been a few years I can analyze this one without directly…
If I can share my thoughts about this, I would say I like the Chinese version. I'm not saying the Thai version is bad, it' s also nice. It's a very Thai version of it. You'll know what I mean if you've been watching Thai dramas. And that is not bad at all, the cast of the Thai version did say they made it with the Thai and other international fans in mind. I just liked the Chinese version because there wasn't a complication of third party girls and parents butting in. Also, the FL's bestfriend in the Chinese version wasn't as whiny as Wawa, but it's good she changed near the end.
Seriously I tried, tried really hard because I like Bambi in other dramas. But I cannot take how whiny and illogical her character is and the ML is just...ugh. Even the other girl is irritating. I'm sorry, I had to drop it.
Maybe you can try Witch's Diner or Oh My Ghost? There are also some great one's that are ghost related but I am…
Gosh, you are so right, I am actually sad Witch's Diner felt so short and rushed. I was so excited when I saw it was Jihyo who would play the witch so I watched it. Oh well.
In the list I gave you, I actually loved The Guest and Priest but these are not light KDramas. But the twists in the stories, especially in Priest...it was like...wow. I also loved Oh My Ghost, Bride of the Century and Master's Sun. These are Rom-Coms mixed with supernatural. Chicago Typewriter is also nice, but for me it was a little dragging in the middle. Or maybe it's just me. Haha. Black is kinda nice twist to the Grim Reaper. Uncanny Counter is also a nice, modern take on handling ghosts. Cheo Yong has 2 seasons, but this is action, kinda Police Procedural type. Who Are You? is kinda sad, but still nice.
So if you like ghosty serious, I would say The Guest or Priest. If you want ghosty rom-com, go for Bride of the Century or Oh My Ghost. But the others are worth checking out, too..π
Just finished watching today and I love it. I'm not really into the horror genre but this was really good, not…
Maybe you can try Witch's Diner or Oh My Ghost? There are also some great one's that are ghost related but I am not sure if they are too scary for you or if they are interesting enough. If you are curious, you can check out the plots here in MDL for The Guest, Priest, Who Are You?, Bride of the Century, Cheo Yong, Master's Sun, The Uncanny Counter, Black and Chicago Typewriter
how the fk she look the same when she played fated to love you , that show was in 2014 OMG !!!
Imagine. I first watched her in Bright Girl back in 2002, and had the same sentiments when I watched her again in Fated to Love You after more than 10 years. I tell you, Jang Nara is a vampire... π
Iβve been juggling between chinese drama and korean dramas lately, so I donβt get bored on the same language…
Same. I juggle between Thai, Chinese and Korean dramas, and this was just fine to me. It's not phenomenal, but I like it. Plus I love Hyeri, so there π
I love Saeron and Dareum as child actors so I watched this (plus the fact I love supernatural stories). The drama may not be so phenomenal, but I still enjoy it. I love watching the BTS and the iQiyi interview as well.
The Chinese version is actually one of my fave CDramas, but if you are used to watching Thai dramas, this is actually a very Thai version of it. Love it still, especially since it has New in it and I am his fan (BL or not). I hope they put out episode 11 and onwards soon..
My first chinese drama and it was amazing, loved the pace of their romance, well it could be a bit boring for…
Love 020 is still my fave. If you are into gaming, you can also watch King's Avatar and Falling Into Your Smile. Gank Your Heart is another gaming series, but for me the start is a bit dragging, but gets better in the middle. Go Go Squid and Appledog's Time as well, gaming and robotics. If you want nothing to do with games, Put Your Head on my Shoulder is nice, story is very light, teensy drama. So is A Love so Beautiful. You might also like Accidentally in Love. If you like old setting, Ashes of Love is great as well as The Untamed and Eternal Love. But there some story arcs here that has sort of heavy drama. Detective L, Insect Detective and My Roomate is a Detective are also nice if you are into mysteries. Ooh, so much dramas to recommend but I'll stop now...
Hahahaha. I just love watching soft, innocent guys fall in love...
Try watching U Prince (except for The Handsome Cowboy, which I absolutely hated). Most of the episodes are fluffy, and it's short.
