I wish they'd release the episodes on a more daily schedule. Waiting 5 days in between new episode release is truly torturous for this kind of suspenseful drama. I highly suggest anyone who hasn't started to wait until all episodes are out.
Agree. The fact that she actually went after that girl to get back the money she borrowed definitely doesn’t…
Lol they definitely don’t know what Mary Sue means. It’s a natural progression and good reasons why these guys all fall for her. It’s definitely three with the team captain too now lol. The ending of Ep 16 had me laughing and smiling because it’s cute and hilarious at the same time how Zhenyu mistook the gifts as hers.
Have you tried watching on iQIYI’s official app or website? They release 2 new subbed eps everyday for non VIP…
You're welcome. Better to support the dramas at their official sites because the other sites are just pirates waiting to take their subs, that's why they're slow.
Surprisingly I really like this drama. I like the character traits of each of the characters, and I appreciate…
Agree. The fact that she actually went after that girl to get back the money she borrowed definitely doesn’t make her a Mary Sue. Mary Sue would’ve probably played a saint and let her keep it because she “needed” it. I really love the friendship development between all the girls. Liang Shuang and Jia Bao might turn into a really good “sismance”. All the guys they’re being paired with seem really sweet as well. I’m rooting for Xiaoguo and Bao’s lil bro rather than the CEO.
Well, we'd never know if he's totally cured or his life is extended for a few more years. However, it's indicated…
I'm actually watching Joy of Life just to see what the hype is about but I'm still snail pacing it for some reason. I was on the fence about watching Ancient Detective and Miss Truth so thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely check them out now since I have similar taste to yours :) Will try out Under the Power and Handsome Siblings, too. I just remember loving Jimmy Lin and Alex Su's version of Handsome Siblings back in the days so I wasn't sure about watching this new version.

I’m in the middle of watching JoL so I don’t have an opinion on it. I will say the fact that he’s essentially telling the story from a book is keeping me from fully immersing in it. Also hesitant to finish it since we have to wait years for the next parts.
Well, we'd never know if he's totally cured or his life is extended for a few more years. However, it's indicated…
We're in such a drought. There hasn't been any more truly excellent costume Cdrama(wuxia/xianxia) in what feels like years. I'm so nervous, but really anticipating the new Return of the Condor Heroes remake.
Well, we'd never know if he's totally cured or his life is extended for a few more years. However, it's indicated…
My exact thoughts. I would’ve been happy if he’d only lived those six months like it was said and then Yun Luo can carry on with their kid. I feel let down after the initial high. Need to go watch NIF again.
His ultimate plan is probably for them to destroy each other. Two birds with one stone. Just hiding away Emperor…
That whole stand-off with Su Xuan dying, I could somewhat understand. It was all the outcast sects against Jin Xu and his clique. The outcasts got a bad rep because of what he framed them for and it took Su Xuan taking that sword stab in front of everyone for the rest of Jin Xu's clique to back off and not take his side anymore. So I think the purpose of that was to clear their names (Su Xuan and the Yun Dang Seven Bandits) and like you said, get close to him.
I agree, the poisoning Yun Luo part was completely pointless and dumb, just for angst's sake. Considering that after they spent the night together, she specifically asked Qing Ci if there's something going on. If there is, to let her in on it. They could've done what they did at Chi Yansha with the powder in the clock tower. They could've skipped all the angst in between the poison scheme and flash back later to show that Yun Luo was actually in on it. Instead of making her think he killed her sifu so she can give her I don't ever want to see you again speech and try to kill him for the the 20th time. Teenagers, lol.
I don't know what happened after episode 30, but it feels like another writer took over or something and the drama doesn't have the same flow as it did the first 2/3. Good thing I like how the ML is being played, so I'm still invested in what will happen to him by the end.
Oh of course it is signature Mei Changsu... no other character has the right to copy it IMHO!!! Our lead in this…
Any time you see anyone styled like this in future dramas, you'll automatically know he's heading for sickly and dying territory. They could've at least left out the fur part.
Why did Qing Ci spare the one Lang Wei so that she could return and report to the evil marquis? Jin Shu would've…
His ultimate plan is probably for them to destroy each other. Two birds with one stone. Just hiding away Emperor Ai won't stop Wei Ning Hou from finding some other scheme to try and take down Emperor Xiao Ming or go after his family's military power. If I remember correctly, Jin Xu was somewhat working with Wei Ning Hou in exchange for favors. Evil marquis will be pissed now that he's found out Jin Xu has been hiding Emperor Ai all along.
From what I gathered, Su Xuan's "death" was planned and he's still alive. Though I don't know how they're going…
Right, forgot all about the thrown in a well thing. His clothes were completely dry.
Shang Wan's death was the one that got to me the most after Jing'an Marquis's death. I'm kind of hoping ML really does die in the end after his half year period. It would leave a more lasting impression of the show for me after everything that's happened. They've also mentioned repeatedly that there is no cure at all for his poison so it would be a cop-out for a cure to magically appear just to produce a HE.
Mindless sacrifices of all the Da Xia (big heroes) T_T
From what I gathered, Su Xuan's "death" was planned and he's still alive. Though I don't know how they're going to explain him surviving that giant sword stab to the heart. I was going to curse out the writer for going through all that drama in the beginning about saving him, only to kill him off mindlessly like that, so I'm glad they didn't disappoint. But still, a giant stab to the heart seems ridiculous to still be alive without all the medical advancements they have back then lol.
This show is really good. Tencent needs to stop stalling on subs so more people can get on it. The story and characters remind me a lot of classic Jin Young stories with the wuxia, Jianghu, and intersecting character plot lines combined. I’m rooting for all 3 love lines as well as the bromance. Zuo Qing Ci’s disciple is adorable as well.
From the preview: I knew HJ never graduated from Harvard. Can’t wait for BH to comfort him next week. It’s the most amazing feeling to have someone to run to when you’re in your lowest moments. They are angst done authentically that isn’t unnecessarily drawn out. Love them so much! Park Se Wan broke me when she thought she lost her son today. Great actress. Also, is grandpa Geo Bok going to be the largest shareholder of that company o.o
