That was actually a diversion tactic by his team to avoid crazy fans crowding. They bought one ticket then at the very last minute canceled it and bought a totally different one on the spot to avoid anyone trying to follow him. You can tell they had an average budget and they worked the best with what they got. That's why we're not getting as much battle scenes as shown in the novel (those are costly to film). Also, if you watch carefully the flooding scene, the cgi was pretty poor quality... the maids' faces were blurs and you can even see one running towards the water in the background lol.
