I need a new ZLH drama the day after his last one ended. Let’s go Dr. He!

To your last remark about the agency getting in the way of good projects for him, I think it's their strategy to keep a leash on him. If he's able to gain popularity even with average projects, imagine what happens if he was handed a good one and gain significant boost from it. It would be easy for him to break away from them then. With the way they manage him now, he's popular enough to bring them money, but not enough to try and jump ship.

Filming is almost wrapped which means the countdown to this drama's airing is getting shorter. I'm looking forward to seeing Zhang Linghe's emotional performance as Jiang Qiaoxi and hoping to see another side to his acting 🫶

It's not like they purposely screwed up the drama and then went, "here's the script, go read and make it up yourself." This drama wrapped last September, the producer went bankrupt in December. It could have easily been shelved. Luckily, it had more than one producers and the one left behind was able to pick up some of the slack, but not enough as you can see by all that was cut. Xianxia requires a lot of CGIs and that costs money. They did the best they could with what we were able to see. All those scenes from the script were actually filmed because we see them from behind the scene videos and photos. So they had intended on including all that stuff, but sadly couldn't. It was supposed to be a 40 episodes drama, but got cut down to 36 🥲 The script was leaked and that's how people have been able to pull scenes for comparison.

What's done can't be changed, at least there is something as a follow up rather than nothing.

I shared this with someone way earlier but here’s the better explanation of the ending:

You saw in the final boss scene with his master that she possessed all 3 of the heart cores. The VO said she used up all her cultivation to destroy the 3 hearts just for one person (him). The Nirvana Demon Heart to resurrect the dead (him), the Zen Heart of Brahma Bones to repair the original solid form (his body), and the Heart of the Six Realms to get rid of the demon traces (no longer has evil spirits inside him). It was spoken in idioms and English didn't translate it quite right. Then she went back to her dwelling and waited for the day he would return.
