Just because you're living in your limited view bubble and only see what you choose to see doesn't make your opinions fact. This drama may not have outperformed in terms of popularity (due to many external factors not in any of the actors' control), but ZLH's Ji Yang has been ranked the TOP1 drama character on China's Vlinkage list 13 times and counting since its airing. Fans aren't worried for him. Why do you care?

As you emphasized multiple times how ZLH's acting isn't your taste, I'm just questioning why you would subject yourself to watching someone that makes you cringe? I don't even bother picking up anymore XK dramas once I realized his acting is not for me, let alone waste my precious time going under his dramas to spread negativity.

Funny because ZLH's "juvenile, teary-eyed delivery" was what made me become a fan, whereas I felt nothing while watching XK's eye acting and made me drop several of his dramas after trying to give him a chance time after time. These opinions are subjective. As you guys are obviously not a fan of ZLH's acting, I don't understand why you feel the need to drop into HIS drama to step on him and bringing in irrelevant people. That just makes you look petty and a hater.

Judging from the bts, it was filmed to be just as impactful but because of no budget for special fx they cut so much of it. Truly sad but I’ll use my imagination to fill it in. I feel sorry for all the hard work wasted of the crew tho.

Not directly, but his actions caused dragon lord to commit suicide while JY was there so naturally everyone blamed JY.

Them showing the Lingxi seal appearing back on her hand is kind of lovely too, because it means that this is the original Ji Yang without any demonic possession or some kind of reincarnation.

Looks like he was kissing her then transformed into his demon form and bit her lip and they break apart and it picks up where the bts showed below.

Not even realizing he's the bad guy but just that JY isn't the bad guy 😂 I really didn't like this part. And Zhu's storyline kind of dropped off into nothingness given how significant he was in the beginning. She is, but they tried to make you think she was stupid at first.

Not sure if was due to cut scenes, but like there were scenes with random individuals realizing it gradually throughout and we're left to assume it's something that happened off screen for the rest of the world.
