I noticed you've been trolling ZLH and my curiosity got the better of me. I also noticed we stan the same artist,…
Funny because ZLH's "juvenile, teary-eyed delivery" was what made me become a fan, whereas I felt nothing while watching XK's eye acting and made me drop several of his dramas after trying to give him a chance time after time. These opinions are subjective. As you guys are obviously not a fan of ZLH's acting, I don't understand why you feel the need to drop into HIS drama to step on him and bringing in irrelevant people. That just makes you look petty and a hater.
totally agree. Some important fight scenes were rushed/ skipped: Sen luo's death and NY &JY last duel more importantly
Judging from the bts, it was filmed to be just as impactful but because of no budget for special fx they cut so much of it. Truly sad but I’ll use my imagination to fill it in. I feel sorry for all the hard work wasted of the crew tho.
Nan Yan followed with an umbrella all the way until she came to a stall selling glove puppets, where she heard…
Them showing the Lingxi seal appearing back on her hand is kind of lovely too, because it means that this is the original Ji Yang without any demonic possession or some kind of reincarnation.
And how did they explain that part? I don't understand original language at all😅
Not even realizing he's the bad guy but just that JY isn't the bad guy 😂 I really didn't like this part. And Zhu's storyline kind of dropped off into nothingness given how significant he was in the beginning. She is, but they tried to make you think she was stupid at first.

Not sure if was due to cut scenes, but like there were scenes with random individuals realizing it gradually throughout and we're left to assume it's something that happened off screen for the rest of the world.

His master's backstory and how he was the mastermind behind everything was all 6 episodes. It also circled back to how NY's mom chose to give JY the lovers' mark when she first met him. It wasn't just a random or psychic choice as we thought. The 3 years' wait seems like just a random number but I think it was supposed to be a call back to the first time he died and she met him after 3 years. I think the script was actually well thought out, it's just that post production and budget constraints really affected it.

You saw in the final boss scene with his master that she possessed all 3 of the heart thingies. The VO said she used up all her cultivation to destroy the 3 hearts just for one person (him). The Nirvana Demon Heart to resurrect the dead (him), the Zen Heart of Brahma Bones to repair the original solid form (his body), and the Heart of the Six Realms to get rid of the demon traces (no longer has evil spirits inside him). It was spoken in idioms and English didn't translate it quite right. Then she went back to her dwelling and waited for the day he would return.
Nan Yan followed with an umbrella all the way until she came to a stall selling glove puppets, where she heard a gentle voice.
Ji Yang VO: Are you looking for me, miss?
Nan Yan suddenly stopped.
Nan Yan was vaguely aware of familiar footsteps behind her, slowly walking towards her step by step.
Nan Yan turned around, and just as she expected and wished, the familiar face in front of her was mostly covered by the umbrella, but the slight smile was enough to make her happy and excited.
The umbrella was slowly raised, and the familiar mole on the high nose bridge and the noble bearing between the eyebrows and eyes showed that it was Ji Yang, the old friend whom she had been waiting for countless days and nights.
The whole world stopped, Nan Yan stared deeply at Ji Yang's face. He looked a little older, but his eyes were as clear as when they first met.
The two looked at each other in the rain, and it was a glance that lasted a lifetime.
I read that they had different co-writers in the later stages.
Yeah, the whole transition after the kiss to the fighting and time skip was so messy. There was supposed to be a scene of them walking off together under the umbrella in the end but the background needed CGI and I guess since they didn't have anymore money so it wasn't included.
It's normal there are several dramas in which the actress is older than the male protagonist and the dramas are…
Please tell me where you have seen ZLH's fans complaining about JT's age because I hang out in his fandom here and in chinese social medias and have never seen a single Walnut age shaming JT. Stop spreading lies to make his fans look bad.
I'm ready to spend my money for that express pass💸💸
Do it when there’s a sale. I did thinking I’d be able to enjoy some of their other dramas too in addition to ZLH’s drama and turned out his is the only one I can watch fully this year. Now I regret it 😂 Should’ve just paid only for him.

One producer went bankrupt and an investor left to join another platform
Looks like he was kissing her then transformed into his demon form and bit her lip and they break apart and it picks up where the bts showed below.

Ji Yang finally spoke: A Yan, how are you?
Edit: Okay, rewatched it again in original language and not Eng subs and I guess they tried to explain the how, but still...
