And some people don't understand what we mean when we say he is abnormally quiet is not talking about his typical drama promotional posts, which he is obligated to do. We are referring to his fan interactions on his super topic or replies to fans' comments. He is usually very active with this during other drama's airing. During Love's Rebellion's airing, he even posted a photo of himself watching that drama during lunch break. Ironically enough, it was while filming OG. He didn't even mention JQX at all in the livestream today. When TBT was airing and he did a live, that was immediately what the host brought up to talk about. Anyway, we are just shedding light on something that is obviously affecting audience's perception of his character's portrayal on screen so everyone can be aware. ZLH's fans aren't trying to spread propaganda and hoping this drama fails. Why would we when it's something he expressed love, anticipation, and worked hard for. But when that love and hard work is being trampled on, are we supposed to quietly accept the mistreatment? Btw, I'm just responding to you because this is the relevant thread, I don't want to start a million different ones to make my point just because others disagree. If anyone would like to debate then please politely do so to me, instead of making snide remarks about us under different ones to refer to our dissents.

As someone who has been following him consistently on weibo everyday since MJTY, I can confirm he is abnormally quiet this time while a drama of his is airing.
It's not doing well. As of episode 16 the average playback volume on Yunhe per episode is only 8.45 millions.…
The 17/18 you’re talking about is the daily views per that episode that has just aired. The average tallies those dailies to determine the final number after the hot broadcast period is over. That’s why I said it will need to pull in 25-30 daily if it wants to increase its average by the end. Anything averaging below 15 mil is considered a flop by cnetz. It’s TFF.
I just read a post on weibo, they’re saying this drama is not doing well in China and it’s quite a flop??…
It's not doing well. As of episode 16 the average playback volume on Yunhe per episode is only 8.45 millions. For comparison, the last modern drama with romance that was considered a hit, not even explosive, had averaged 22.51 mil by its 16th episode.
For a relatively well known IP, produced by a famous production house, this number is not ideal. The highest views it's gotten so far is 18 mil with episode 16. If it wants to pull its average up by the end of the hot broadcast period for data collection it will need to garner upwards of 25-30 mil per episode. I really doubt that will be the case with only 8 eps left to go and fast track coming.
For anyone who doesn't know, Yunhe playback volume is what majority of cdrama netizens use to measure a drama's airing success.
I am loving the show but after their "problem" Im starting to get annoyed about their little interactions. I dont…
She does apologize to him and is one of the few cdrama fls who always takes initiative first when it comes to kisses and affections after they start officially dating. The reason why HSY doesn't hold it against her is because he knew the reason from XY why she rejected him, so they couldn't really make him being mad at her about that another hurdle to get over.
I am on episode 6. Can someone tell me how did he(He Suye) know that she(Shen Xifan) broke up with her boyfriend?!…
It is a mistranslation that iqiyi is refusing to correct. He said, "You're feeling so down. Are you still reluctant to break up?" thinking YH is still making her cry but she's still with him.
In the beginning of each episode, there’s an ingredient and it explains what it is what it tastes like and what…
Artemisia capillaris in April is considered useless and ineffective so its only purpose is to use as firewood. There is an old saying: Yin Chen(its Chinese name) can be used to treat diseases in February, but can only be used as firewood in April-May. Even when cursing he curses in TCM 😂

I put more hope on 🐧 to give him proper promotion for Zhuyu than 🥝 tbh. They were already showing him good treatment at All Star Night when he hadn’t been in their drama in years and only had one recent variety show with them.

🥝 is always blind and has no vision when it comes to ZLH's dramas no matter how many times he has proven them wrong already. No wonder they're doing so poor financially.

It didn’t upgrade. It is an A grade production but its broadcasting effect is that of an S+ value because of its high daily average views. The industry initially didn’t place much hope on this drama to succeed at this level. Most thought it would flop.
To be fair, in this context, she almost kissed him while he was sleeping so I don’t find this an issue where…
But she didn't though. It was only a kiss. If it had gone on that route then the discussion would be open to a new direction. I just enjoyed the moment for what it was in its pure escapism without overthinking it.
