It's already reached an average views of 30.44 mil per episode according to Lighthouse calculation and it's only been 5 days airing. Majority of dramas these days don't even reach half this number after 30+ days average views accumulation period. That's why I don't buy all this hollering about inflated heat index. If it was falsely inflated, the episode views wouldn't match up as that is being calculated by a 3rd party and not iqiyi or tencent. I've seen this happened before.
I was worried about them toning down his crazy moments because I saw the ear cutting scene wasn't in the script. But with this scene today I feel rest assured that director will add something else instead.

Third, did you even follow ALL the data reports and not just the heat index? This drama has top numbers across every single ranking lists related to tv series in China. If heat index was faked, the data on all the ranking lists wouldn't match up. That include Yunhe/Kuyun view counts, Douyin popularity, Wechat, Baidu, Lighthouse, Maoyan, and more. POJ is even having trending numbers on the pirate drama sites. Do you think Tencent and iQIYI are buying the data for this too?
And since you mentioned Rednote, I am there every day reading posts about POJ. Did you not see how actual drama fans of this series have now started a trending meme by calling themselves "programmers" because of the accusations that POJ's data is rigged all across the board?
