That are what Nan Yan do for Ji Yang and will be continued in counting💖💖
When you list it out like that it suddenly looks like she's the one doing more 😆 But for real, it's like his sacrifices might be weightier, but her return actions are more numerous so it somehow balances out.

That lightning scene felt like it was ages ago. One of my favorite “I save you and you save me back” scenes that this couple does a lot of. To me their relationship is more like what more can one do for the other rather than who sacrifices more. The scorpion scene was another favorite. She lost her beloved pet to save his life and never once blamed him for not telling her about the candlelight beetles hurting him in the first place. I also loved how she trusted and accepted him without a second thought when he came back in his "evil" form, especially when he could’ve easily been suspected as the killer of her former sect leader. Then there's the whaleboat captain's murder. She also could’ve easily believed he was the killer when it was her closest companion who “saw” him did it since she's only just met him again and shouldn't have trusted his character, but she still stood by him and protected him.
I like how the side characters' plot lines all connect to Ji Yang and NY at this point of the story, especially when I thought they were just perfunctorily placed in to move the story along as short little arcs. I thought the wheelchair demon guy and his sister's story was done with after he died, but now we see they were placed into the story to lead up to this moment of teaching JY the medicine creation for NY. Same thing with YY's sister. I also thought she was just going to serve as backstory for YY to build character, but her thread also leads to JY in relation to SL's destruction. Btw, does anyone remember what happened to the chubby 3rd member of the Lunar sect? Did he die and I just forgot? And for once, a masked character is hidden well so you can't guess who they are. In other dramas I always see the masked guys with only partial face covering and you know right away who the hidden bad guy is.
I’d suggest you try to make it to episode 5 at least before quitting. You might find it less childish then.…
If you read all the comments here so far, no one has been upset about any of the plot, especially the romance, unlike TPR where there were a lot of upset viewers about what was happening to the plot as well as the romance between the leads there. ML and FML are completely devoted to each other 100%. There's no 2nd ML jumping down the cliff to catch FML with romantic slo-motion while ML looks on helplessly. In fact, ML is the one who jumped down the cliff to save FML while the supporting ML regrets not being able to catch either of them.
Okay, am I the only one who rewound the first half of ep 28 previews and rewatched it like a million times? The facial expressions, the anger, the black clothes, the eyeliner... 😮💨

Maybe the subject matter or genre is just not some people's cup of tea. You kind of have to understand the genre or be in the mood for this kind of fantasy to get the drama for its value. ZLH fans are rejoicing because it's been a while since we've had such an easy time watching his drama.

Oh you totally made me realized that they already hinted at him possessing the demonic body since the beginning. Now rewatching those early episodes will bring a whole new insight.
The leads have good screen presence, but the drama feels a bit childish, and the production quality seems rather…

Lol I'm not even a "fangirl" per say, but sometimes, I find myself fangirling when he smiles. Especially those…
It's okay to just fangirl his looks 😂 Have you watched ep 24-25 previews where he's possessed by the mafia demon guy? Cnetz said it made them realized that it's not Ji Yang that they love, but Ji Yang's face 😂
You can follow this account on X, they post daily data updates of all currently airing Cdramas. https://x.com/Natapori
Data from these main lists is a tricky thing to judge because I've read that they can be manipulated by capital these days, depending on who has the power to push their own drama. You'll notice, a drama can be top on one list, but bottom on another list. So just observe them to satisfy your curiosity, but don't put too much importance on it.
