Ha ha. I like that scene too .The two of them were so good to make that ordinary scene seem something more.
Haha omg you can be one of their screenwriters π€£ You know those lower budget short web dramas would totally write something like that π€¦π»ββοΈ

Yeah, like @monstersnroses said, it's only for censorship's sake. The drama made it easy to ignore that novel writer part and just take it as actual rebirth.
Yes, more flashbacks will be shown as you progress further so you'll be less confused. She was in a forced relationship…
There's going to be more flashbacks about how her life was spent when she was growing up. The person who was her mother figure taught her that as a woman, in order to not be mistreated and taken advantage of, one has to be in a position of power. In the book, her birth family treated her really poorly, even after she returned home.

Haha thank youuu π₯° If they can increase your love for ZLH then I am satisfied π. I cut them myself of memorable scenes and favorite moments from every ZLH drama I've watched. They're like trophies I'm collecting after a drama is checked off the list π The Royal Princess ones are a little ahead of its time, but those fancam captures of ZLH moments were too good to leave out. Since I've read the novel and loved it, I have high hopes for the adaptation too, especially after seeing the wrap up trailer.
I'm on ep2 and still so confused about her past life, will all the details be revealed later on?It seems she was…
Yes, more flashbacks will be shown as you progress further so you'll be less confused. She was in a forced relationship with YL. It's implied that he raped her, more than once. She and XW never went further than talking.

Yeah both rebirths and time travel. I've read and heard a couple of different reasons. One was religion related and another was that girls committed suicide thinking they could redo their lives like in dramas π€·π»ββοΈ. So most of the time, these kind of stories always have to be turned into a story within a story or a dream which I hate because then it makes everything that happened pointless. SOKP did it in a way that wasn't disappointing in the end because that butterfly effect made it feel like everything did happen in an alternate universe even though she was writing a story. I really don't want Royal Princess to go the dream or it was all a hallucination route.

Exactly! It was just so odd and abrupt the way it was written and definitely not romantic or hot. I like dark romance and have read way more messed up interactions where I could at least still feel the chemistry and heat between the characters when things got spicy. I think it was because she didn't have the skill for these kind of scenes and thought writing them like that was how to do hot forced love, but all I got was creepy vibes from him. Luckily the scriptwriter was good and had good actors to carry out the scenes well so that I did feel the tension and heat on screen. ZLH somehow managed to make XW attractive during his manic love episodes. That cave scene could have easily came across as "greasy" if played by someone else.
"What'd he do, just jump up over her on his knees? Stand by her pillow on the bed? Push her halfway down the bed?" Haha I had trouble trying to figure out the logistics of how he went from kissing to that too π
I've never read SK so I wouldn't know but your description reminds me why I only prefer reading sex scenes written by women authors lol.

I think it had to do with censorship? It was already a stretch for them to get JXN's rebirth to pass with the "novel rewrite". I guess they can't add an additional character to it lol. Makes me a little worried about how they're going to adapt the rebirth in Royal Princess, since both the leads have a do-over and it's a must to keep both rebirths.
In Blossom seems interesting and there have been rumors of it airing soon.
I heard they finished the reshoots for GH so now it's probably waiting to pass censorship. At least it didn't get buried. Have you seen the teasers for Fox Spirit Matchmaker? That looks high quality and it's rumored to be coming out in April.
Not your imagination. He lost a lot of weight for this character to look older than his age.
The character is kind of sickly too. He's definitely a method actor, gotta admire the dedication to realism. Someone analyzed a scene in this drama where his character spit up blood and it looks like it was truly coming up his esophagus and out his mouth, not just spitting out blood that he's been holding inside his mouth lol.

Aw thank you :) I'm mostly waiting only for his dramas to air. I second the rec for Princess Royal because it is similar to SOKP in vibes, but unfortunately not coming any time soon.
He dubbed himself and he made his voice deeper to sound older. So donβt be surprised if in his future drama,…
I really liked seeing a different side to ZLH's acting so I liked his character and romance with the female lead. It was more on the sweeter side. There were only two kiss scenes and although they were pretty tamed, I felt like there was a certain sexiness to them, if that makes any sense. The second couple might be more your cup of tea because they have that dark romance vibe going on, but the director never gave them any kiss scenes, even though they had a "bath" scene π I also really liked the cinematography and fight scenes, it's very cinematic if you're into visuals. All the characters are interesting and there's a hot guy around every corner so plenty of eye candy if nothing else lol. I just told someone else that to avoid the bad open ending, I would watch up to 42:28 of the final episode and then stop to at least get a conclusive ending for the main lead's romance. The last five minutes after that turns it into a giant cliffhanger. If you've got nothing else keeping you busy, it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

This came after the cave scene. So chronologically it was the cave forced kiss, then stab scene, then held hostage, then hand stab scene.
