Did they use a different voice actor for Esther in this? Because her voice is hard to like. I’m struggling to…
It was unbearable for me at the beginning too and I went into this not liking Esther very much. Ended up being by favorite drama of this genre. It’s seriously good, don’t give up on it ;)
It might not be for everyone, but for me it’s the kind of action show where you don’t expect airtight logic and that’s okay. It’s about a guy who runs an online shop for killers, after all. You watch it for fun and if there’s a solid plot on top of that, it’s a bonus. I liked how the uncle raised his niece without pulling her into his criminal life, while still preparing her for a future where she might have to stand on her own. Stories like this (where a young person faces challenges far bigger than themselves) often work on a metaphorical level too. It reminds me a bit of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: a show that looked like a silly fantasy on the surface, but was really about growing up and learning to navigate a difficult world. So I’d say: watch it for the fun and if you read into it, focus on the symbolism rather than the logic ;)
They never mentioned a release date, so it’s practically not a delay :( but it’s still taking soooo freaking…
I think it’s likely that his character will go missing or something (just like his dad before) and one of the plot lines is going to be to find out his whereabouts. In the end, they’ll sneak in a short scene with him reappearing or something. I would’ve rather had him be a part of second season though and not just a guest role… Let’s wait and see. In Kang Full we trust 🤞🏼

It wasn’t really up to him anymore, he has yet to fulfill his mandatory military service. He should’ve done that earlier… He’ll be discharged in August 2027. If they decide to go for a late 2027 or even early 2028 broadcast, he might even be able to shoot some scenes. We’ll see 🥲
Only 10 episodes this webtoon is long and webtoon english hasnt even reached the end? Also boo disney leave kdramas…
Whyyy the kdramas funded by Disney so far have been so good! Shop for killers, Moving, Light Shop and Blood Free were my fav dramas in recent years. I wouldn’t be interested in this project at all if Netflix was the platform to air it . It’s gonna be good!
Is this drama about the ML cheating on the FL, and her acting like a doormat the whole time? I can handle toxic…
The ML doesn‘t cheat on the FL. He cheats on the second FL whom he’s in a semi-fake relationship with. He leaves her for the FL, but gets back together with her after he realizes he’s too poor to provide for the FL. You’re right, the relationships in this drama are toxic but it’s always made clear that the characters are forced to make the decisions they make to survive.
Objectively speaking it really doesn't make sense to stop airing dramas just because of a single actor(allegations/rumors…
It doesn’t make sense, yes… but I guess this is a special case because (and that’s only if the serious allegations are true) there would be such a mismatch between reality and the character portrayed that the audience wouldn’t be able to get fully immersed and emotionally invested in the show. We can only hope that the accusations turn out to be unfounded and false. Otherwise, they would have to cut the drama significantly shorter and/or reshoot with a different actor. Either way, the drama would be ruined for fans, so let’s stick with the first scenario and hope for the best 🥲
It’s not small and mundane unfortunately :( but I also feel that it’s a shame and hope for the best
Believe me when I say that, after waiting for 10 years, I’d be so happy to watch season 2 :( but I know SK, image and brand value are everything. I think they’ll try everything they can to release this and minimize the damage as much as possible. But if any of those allegations prove to be correct, this project will never see the light of day. Besides, Dispatch would risk losing lots of money in a defamation trial in case their report didn’t have at least a hint of truth.

There are allegations of rape and assault though and we don’t know yet wether those are true… if it’s ‚only‘ theft and a minor case of juvenile delinquency, I agree that it’s not worth cancelling the whole drama for.
Keep wondering what would be the best decision for this drama. I mean, I had accepted season one‘s ending and if there had never been news of a second season, I wouldn’t be this greedy for a continuation. But now, the season has finished filming, an airing date had been set prior to all this mess. The actors, despite being more sought-after than ever, have all returned. Given the screen writer‘s talent for writing gripping and novel stories, the long waiting period and the production team‘s knowledge of having to meet very, VERY high expectations, I just know that this second season will/would be a carefully crafted passion project.
I know it’s wrong, but I still hope it gets released. I could name at least a dozen artists and writers who were the most vicious and rotten people who ever walked on earth and their works were are still willingly consumed and celebrated. Look at all those people in academia who are linked to Epstein now. Big thinkers whose theories will go on impacting science and humanities. Here, we’re dealing with allegations from 30 years ago that have only partially been confirmed. I may sound naive, but I don’t want to see a passion project go to waste like this. Unless the harsher allegations turn out to be true. I’m not lenient when it comes to SA or any other kind of life-long trauma inflicted on people.
