Like on one hand, it makes sense that we start and end the show in HW's timeline and there are many things that…
The reason why people hate this ending is that in the end there no DJ timeline, cos it was all a dream. Whatever happened in Ep 2 to Ep 15 did not matter one bit - you can jump from Ep 1 to Ep 16 and you didn't miss anything. The worst ever plot device for drama is that "it was a dream". Not only was not it not rewarding, the audience, including me, felt betrayed and cheated.
I'm bothered by the plot point of Yeo Jung agreeing to help Dong Eun in her revenge plot point with zero build…
Not sure what you are expecting. It's a 16 episodes drama. If they showed all the action, what's left for the second half? I think the build up was very well done. Even if there is "no action" from your point of view, the story and characters are very intriguing and kept me interested the whole way. The audience reaction is also overwhelmingly positive, and Netflix numbers showed it's a hit worldwide.
I also don't understand the demand for "character development" in MDL. This term shows up in every drama, and everyone wants "character development" on every character.... I personally feel that too many "side stories" affect the pacing, and distract from the main plot. I much prefer a focused plot rather than back stories for many characters.
And remember this is just the first part, and I think they would show more about YJ.
why did they decide to split this into 2 parts? it's so cruel 😭😭😭
This is Netflix new strategy (they already did the same with Stranger Things and Money Heist S5). As most other streaming platforms release shows this way, very likely this will be the norm for Netflix going forward. It helps to retain subscription, and it also builds up excitement and words of month. Not what binge-watchers want to hear, but probably good for Netflix.
It's already dragging a bit with 10 episodes, and you want 10 more? There were 1 or 2 episodes in Part 2 with…
But it was not because of how many episodes. The writers never intended to cover those areas in the first place. They have plenty of time in Part 2 - consider how much time they wasted on Park Jin's cooking? So they never "rushed it", they just didn't develop those areas you mentioned.
Season 1: 10/10Season 2: 7.5/10(the second season was very rushed, you could easily develop this story in 20 more…
It's already dragging a bit with 10 episodes, and you want 10 more? There were 1 or 2 episodes in Part 2 with nothing much happening at all. Why would you call it rush when the story was moving very slowly throughout.
Watched The Glory after watching this. Wow, what a 180 opposite character played by Jung Ji So. A bubbly and gifted lady in Curtain Call. But it was heart-breaking every time JJS appeared on the screen in The Glory.
The name Naksu still has a lot of story relevance. So does Buyeon actually. Naksu = falling water. So the drought.…
I mean in the context of the official character description in tvN AoS page. “A ruthless assassin. Wherever she went, the heads would fall. Hence the name Naksu”.
Since its 5 day release, the Glory is #4 Netflix Worldwide - currently trending Top 10 in 66 countries & Top 10…
I never use FlixPatrol, their way of totalling up ranking is very misleading and ultimately meaningless. For example, they give the same ranking points by Luxembourg with 635,000 population as USA with 330 million population..... I'd rather wait for the official numbers from Netflix.
Regardless, it is a hit worldwide. The available of English dub helped.

Did you read the official character introduction in tvN website I quoted above? Does any of those you wrote make sense in that context? I don't think so. For Korean, sometimes the same word can have different meanings, but it is very important to interpret it in its context. Read the characters description carefully, and you will see that which interpretation makes most sense.
The survey can be ignored then.
EAW is one of the most successful and most viewed K-drama ever.

But brutal ratings in MDL.
Should I start watching this?
It's all tvN; Netflix has no influence on the story and script.
Why would you call it rush when the story was moving very slowly throughout.

I think I missed that part.
AoS hasn’t been top in Korea in Netflix.
Last month was dominated by Reborn Rich.
And it was succeeded by The Glory since last weekend.
